As for why the task was given it can be an coverup I have seen on this and many forums that Salman and bb are getting bashed for Mandana all the contestants have given up on the show already . Puneet has given an interview where he claims the show has a fixed winner Manadana .now even if that is true they need to do damage control.

Waiting for Mandana to show her fangs tomorrow and latter get into petty fights and Salman will Bajao the ones who said mean things.

Yes, it would have been really amusing to see someone like Gauhar or Andy notch up the level but these guys also had to keep their act up and not let Mandy get suspicious of their actions.
