That they are, but Ali doing what he did gave Gulati ammunition once again to milk the situation, the lost/isolated slogan is one of his biggest trump cards which has aided him in abundance right from the start of the show. This was another huge opportunity for him provided for free by Ali which he utilised exceedingly well.

Exactly what I have been thinking since past one month. I want the season to end already. GG is not at all deserving and infact no one really is this season.
