The whole scene was blown out, didn't get it at all, exaggerated to the core. Ali didn't say anything different to what he's already said before. All Gautam had to do was to take it or give it back in a sarcastic manner like he did when making Ali's food in the kitchen in their previous encounter when they had an exchange. Gulati took it to another level in the ablutions, verily it was a new renaissance in the whole isolation characterisation at play.

Blaming everyone for no reason for not taking a stand then apologising afterwards, and why is he banging on about support again, after his spiel ke 'main akayla hoon, main maskeen hoon, main yateem hoon' he still talks about people not standing up for him. Ali turned out the bigger idiot he once again gave him fodder on a platter.
