Papaji, I feel, came here to set a narrative (or put more emphasis on it as it was already doing the rounds). This might help Sumbul or her Papaji to connect with a particular section of the audience. More conservative sort of folks or those who might consider her an abla masoom bechari bachi, chalak logo ki shikar etc. Or the bechara father who just wants to see his daughter fly. Like how Shilpa's whole Maa narrative was set. If the gamble works, then Sumbul might just cruise smoothly to the finale. Coz wo wali audience actually brings in the TRP and the votes.

It will be very difficult to recreate that season. Even the side characters( the ones who weren't finalists) like Mahira ,Shefali, Bhau, Vishal, Shefali Bagga, Madhurima, heck even Khesari's one liners to Sid, arhan, everyone added flavours. And they had all deserving people in finals barring Arti. Sid, Asim, Rashmi, Shehnaaz, Paras were actually main players of the season.

I agree. Like I’m pretty sure the weight of disappointing her dad would disturb her more than two random people who basically implied she had a crush.

It’s difficult to recreate because the players were dheet. It’s the same in BB11 these players didn’t care about feedback. That’s what made it great, they were not image conscious and gave it their all. Though I do feel the extension was not needed.
