The ONE correct thing Jasmin said!

***I know a lot of people find Jasmin incredibly negative and manipulative, so I may get bashed for this. ***

But while I will agree that she definitely harbors an unreasonable amount of anger towards Rubina and Abhinav, there is one thing I can say that she said which was not a matter of bias or perception, but was correct. That was regarding the "blouse-petticoat" incident in which Rakhi basically asked Abhinav to dress her. At that particular moment, Abhinav as a grown man should have had the sense to calmly say "this is going too far".

A) This is NATIONAL/INTERNATIONAL television

B) You are a married man whose family and in-laws, etc. are all watching at home

C) This woman is also (supposedly?) married, and while your wife may be here to watch/approve this, her husband is not, and her family is watching too - (on some level Rakhi didn't think of her own respect BUT even he didn't warn her of the same, which would be the responsible thing to do IMO)

D) You really do not know this woman anywhere near well enough, you met her DAYS ago

E) We all saw her get overly encouraged and overstep with Rahul Mahajan, so quit while you're ahead

And even if he somehow did not have the sense to stop this, why didn't his wife? Nothing/no one is more important to her, as she herself has said and as it should be. So why didn't she take him aside and say, "This is too far, you are putting yourself in a position that you could later regret or could damage your image and respect."?

As a female, I would never put myself in this kind of situation with a person of the other gender, forget about doing so on TV, as Jasmin herself pointed out. Like we'd have to be a relationship, in private and at a very comfortable level, like I wouldn't even do this with my male best friend who I've known practically my whole life.

Now, does any of that necessarily give Rakhi the right to put her hands on Abhinav's person or his clothes? No, that IMO is victim-blaming. But I don't know that even Jasmin said that, although it may have come across as implied, and if that's the case I disagree with her there. But, it is true that Abhinav and Rubina seem to have let Rakhi cross the line in that particular incident because it was convenient.

I agree !!! I have myself pointed this out. It was totally weird and some housemates had even said that Abhinav will never do it (I think it was Arshi) and I thought so to, but the next scene he was shown draping that saree on her. Its totally creepy for a married guy to do that to a friend or family member let alone a total stranger on TV.

I think both husband wife were just enjoying the attention at that point and didn't think they would be at the receiving end later.

Yes! that is true...he should never have played along. however, I still don't think that is any excuse to do what Rakhi did. As an adult if you do not have the sense of knowing when you are going over board, there is something wrong with you.

Very neutral post👏. Rakhi was absolutely wrong in her nasty behaviour but rubinav also somewhere at the first encouraged her and biggest example is that blouse peticot one. That's why I said that what rakhi wrote on her body is due to the encouragement of rubinav. Actually rubinav never thought that rakhi will go to this extent. But yes after she started talking nasty about rubinav relationship and abhinav hugging her and that nara pulling she is totally wrong and rubinav cannot be blamed for that. That's why I was angry at makers and salman for encouraging rakhi😡

I don’t think ANYONE thought Abhinav would do it, I mean we’ve all seen how incredibly careful he and Rubina are even with PDA as a married couple. Like I’ve actually seen people who start dating in the house be more forward on previous seasons. In fact, that’s another reason I feel he did it knowing that it was wrong, but maybe didn’t care so much because he thought it would look worse on Rakhi than on him. I mean, she is the one who approached him, so I can see why he would think that way.

And I 100% agree... Rakhi was the one who went too far, and her actions can’t be excused. But, I just don’t understand why Abhinav would play along and even IF he did think it was innocent, why didn’t he react at the first sign that she was overdoing it? Like, it’s hard to believe that he as a grown man didn’t have the understanding to say this is not a good idea. And so on that level, I can see why people perceived Rubinav as using Rakhi to their advantage.

Honestly, from what I saw - he played along not realizing the extent Rakhi could go. When he realized she was literal in her meaning of draping the saree...he dumped it on her head and left.

Woh kehte hai na talli ek haath se nahi bajti. It looks bad on both.

There was a convo between Mr and Mrs sometime before challengers, where Mrs was arguing with Mr, about how bad he looked in the pool with some female housemate (dont remember the name). And she said, how bad that would look outside and that they should be careful about their image.

Then what happened later on? They needed Rakhi to take Mr forward.
