What is PG?

What is PG? I have been hearing this word all over the forum and Paras said something along the lines of that today and why is it bad to live in PG?

I think anyone except the star kids or the people with connections in the industry once struggled initially in BW or TV. Even SRK used to live in a small apartment in his early days toh yeh Paras apne aap ko samajta kya hai?
