Ragini Khanna indisposed..

Bharti of the Sony show, Ragini Khanna recently realized that health is wealth, when she fainted on sets recently due to fatigue..

Ragini Khanna, who plays the 'MAN' in Sony's Bhaskar Bharti has now realized that 'Jaan Hai toh Jahan Hai', and that she has to take care of her health and get adequate rest whenever possible.

Well, the reason for this sea-change is that the actress had fainted on the sets recently, as she could not cope up with the stress levels of hectic shoot. Says
Ragini, "The moment I fainted, I told myself 'Welcome to the daily soap scenario' (laughs). The thing is that I do not play a typical protagonist's role in the show. My every scene and dialogue demands extra energy from me, and at the end of my day's shoot I am completely drained out. To top it all, we do not get enough rest and all this paved way for me taking ill. The doctor has now advised me that I need to be getting a minimum of seven hours sleep daily. I am now determined to follow this, and am feeling much better now".

Talking about the production house, the actor states, "They give me the best support they can. They have painted my make-up room with the colors I wanted, they also see to it that I do not strain myself much".

Truly, 'Health is Wealth', Ragini!!

Eijaz Khan makes the move to films

Small-screen star Eijaz Khan, known for his roles in Kavyanjali and Kya Hoga Nimmo Ka, is a happy man these days as he is busy with parts in some Bollywood films as well as some South Indian films.
After forgettable roles in Kuch Na Kaho, Just Married and Zameen, the actor says he has learnt to choose the right film. He says, "I want to learn and do a variety of roles. I'm not one of those who'll say that I don't want to run around trees or I want to do only art films. I always want to experiment with all kinds of cinema. If people are willing to work with me and like my work, I'm ready to work with them."

Eijaz was in Hyderabad recently, where he met a couple of producers. "So many Hindi filmmakers are remaking South Indian films. And if I am getting a chance to work there, I have no problem doing so. But right now, no film has been finalised here, so let's wait and see if it works." He adds, "When it comes to the technical aspect, South Indian films are superior to any other film industry in India."

Eijaz is also doing Dharmesh Darshan's production debut, Bhavra, in which he plays an extremely ambitious guy who will stoop to any level to achieve his goals. The film also stars TV actors Shweta Salve, Sangeeta Ghosh and Manav Gohil. Eijaz has several steamy scenes with bikini-clad women. He says, "If a particular scene is not aesthetically shot, that's a problem. If the role demands something, and if it is handled well and not made to look vulgar, then people will not have a problem. Audiences see us in different roles on TV, so I don't think they will have trouble accepting us in a different role on the silver screen."

The actor says he would like to focus on films more now. "When I was doing well on TV, I got a lot of film offers as well, but I decided to go for the movie experience after doing TV shows for almost two-and-a-half years." Eijaz says that it's no longer difficult for TV actors to break into films. "Directors no longer think that if they cast a TV actor, the film won't do well. Today, so many directors are coming up with good scripts, which don't require huge budgets and famous actors. This has opened the door for everyone."

When asked about Anita, Eijaz says, "There is no plan to marry right now, when it has to happen it will happen. Right now, my focus is on my film career and I can't think of anything else. All I can say is wait and see!"

What is Swine Flu?

Swine flu, otherwise known as pandemic influenza H1N1 2009, is a disease caused by a virus that affects the respiratory system.Any person with flu like symptoms such as fever, cough, sore throat, cold, running nose etc. should go to a designated Government facility for giving his/her sample for testing for the H1N1 virus. After clinical assessment, the designated medical officer would decide on the need for testing. Except for cases that are severe, the patient would be allowed to go home. The swine flue virus is mainly from one person to another through droplets released during coughing or sneezing. You can also get infected when you touch surfaces or hold objects contaminated with the virus. It can be door handles, tissue paper, handkerchief or hands.

Preventive Measures

Regularly wash hands with soap and water

Keep a distance of at least one step from an infected person or person with any of the symptoms to avoid contract with the influenza droplets

If you make contact with a sick person or with a potentially infected surface, please do not touch eyes, nose or mouth until you wash your hands with soap

Avoid close contact with a sick person and refrain from handshaking, kissing or hugging

Be active at all times, drink plenty of fluids, eat well, reduce stress and have enough sleep

Can a Man and Woman be just friends?

The question on a man-woman friendship has always remained unsolved. Some say they can be "just" friends and others say it is not possible. Hum Tum which was inspired from Hollywood film When Harry Met Sally, gave witty reasons on why a man and woman cannot be 'just' friends. So on the occasion of Friendship Day we decided to call-up our telly stars on TellyCaf and ask them what they have to say on- Ladka Lakdi kabhi dost nahi ho saktein

Dimple Jhangiani
I do believe that a man and a woman can be just good friends. I have experienced, and also think that opposite sex can understand you better than same sex. I don't have many girls as friends, but lot of boys and we all have a gala time together. I have so many of them, but that doesn't mean that they all are more than friends to me. We are aware about our friendship and it's great fun with them.

Your best friend?
They all are close to me.

Abhishek Rawat
Ya, I do think so as I have lots of girl friends in my life, but I have not fallen for all of them. It's a very open ended question and also depends on individual thinking. We our self are making it complicated.

Your best friend?
Definitely it has to be my wife, as I tell her everything.

Sukriti Khandpal
Yes I truly believe that, as I just have 1 percent friends as girls. I have lot of boys as friends and we enjoy it all the time by hanging out together, chilling, eating etc. It's so much of fun.

Your best friend?
Rishabh Jain is one of my closest friends, as he has been with me since long. There are many others too.

Mohit MalhotraI do believe that a man and a woman can just remain friends until and unless they are not carried away by emotions. I do have lot of girls who are just my friends.

Your best friend? I can't name them, but can assure that there are few close pals.

Ali Merchant
Yes of-course they can remain just friends. I too have a lot of girls who are just my friends. I talk to them as I talk with my guys friends. They all are very understanding and we (me and Sara) gel well with them.

Your best friend?
It's Abigal who is from the same industry. Parul Chauhan who plays Sara's sister in the show is also my close and best friend.

Ragini Khanna
Yes why not… a man and a woman can just be friends but only if they intend to be one.

Your best friend?
Jaisal, Karshak, there are many of them.

So what if it's shoot, we will still Loot

"I hated him when mother pampered him more or when father patted him more. But all was forgotten when I easily convinced him to sign my remark diary in school days." There is no different sibling story from this. Though it is a love-hate relationship, there is no other bond as strong, as of a brother-sister.

Let's check out our tele-celebs on what they are doing this year to make the occasion of Rakhi special.

Ragini Khanna, Actress (Bhaskar Bharti)
This Rakhsha-bandhan is very special to me as I am going to meet all of them after five months. My real brother, my cousins and I are planning to gang up this time in my house and celebrate the occasion.

Dheeraj Dhoopar, Actor (Swarg)
As my family is based in Delhi, my sister is planning to come down to Mumbai and celebrate the occasion with me. I miss her a lot. I also have Rakhi-sister. Initially she was my friend, as she was young, I have always been very caring about her. I don't see any difference in my real sister and her, my emotions are same for both of them.

Ajay Singh Chaudhary, Actor (Palampur Express)
I don't have a real sister; I have been celebrating the day with my cousins. As, I am a Delhiite my cousins courier me the Rakhis in Mumbai. I do have Rakhi sister in Mumbai who is my friend's sister. It's great to have someone like her who fills the emptiness of this day, as I am away from my family.

Surbhi Tiwari, Actress
Although I am shooting, I am going to Bhayander in the morning to tie Rakhi to my brother and my cousins. This year when I went to shoot for 'Jhansi ki rani' to Jaipur, I got a Rajasthani kurta for my brother; I am sure he will like it and look cute in it.

Gaurav Gera, Actor
I have always celebrated the day with my cousins, as I don't have a real sister. I have around eight sisters. Ones who are settled abroad do courier the Rakhi every year and my sister in Mumbai tie me all of them on their behalf too. I prefer giving cash than shopping for them, as I don't understand what girls would like.

Ratan Rajput, Actress
We have shooting scheduled at 10 am though we tried hard for a leave but all in vain. So I will tie him Rakhi at 9:30 and leave for the shoot. It doesn't mean if we have shoots, then we won't loot I am going to do over all his money as usual. Sad part is that I won't be able to cook any sweet meal this year, as I have been doing every year.

Ek choti si love story in Bhakar Bharti
We are not talking about Bharti and Armaan but about Pushpak (Nikhil Roy) and Sonali (Snehal Sahay) who work with them. Though it was shown that Sonali slaps Pushpak, but now things will change and the story moves ahead.

"Yes there will be a love track between me and Sonali in the show," confirms Nikhil.

This story will start to unfold in this week's episode. "We have shot for some cute moments together. This should come on air from today or tomorrow. It feels good that finally my track is getting the coverage that was needed," he adds further.

Are there any plans to take up any other shows? "Well for now, definitely no, but after I finish my stint in Bhaskar Bharti I would look out for sliver screen projects. Television would always be there," he concludes.

Love is in the air… Bharti ka number bhi jald aayega
