Next day morning at 7:45am
"Maa!!! Meri socks kaha hai??" Ratan was jumping across the hall messing the hall area searching for her socks. "Maa.. Kaha ho jaldi aao na mujhe late horahi hai school keliye.. agar aaj class late pohonchi na..toh woh khadus chashmish, meri haalat kharab kardegi..,! Maa!!" She scremed again..
"Abe loud speaker..!! Kyu subah subah poore mohalle ki dimag kha rahi hai.. chup chap nikal na.." patta came from his room dressed for his college.. he sat on the chair wearing his socks..
Ratan: dadabhai.. aap chup rahiye.. mein aapse baat nahi kar rahi.. maa!! Mere socks!!
Sajjan shouted from kitchen" arre par tera socks shoes ke paas hi hoga na.. thik se dekho pehle..."
Ratan once again checks her shoes and the place where it was kept..
Patta: yeh andar kyu nahi jaa raha..!? ugh!
He was fidgeting with his socks to get his feet inside..
Ratan turned to see her brother fighting with socks.. 'HER socks!!!!' Her mouth was wide open with shock.. what the hell was he doing with her socks!!
Ratan: dadabhai!!!! Aap kar kya rahe hai!!
Patta: dikh nahi raha? Socks pehen raha hu apna.. aur kya?
He starts to struggle again and this time the material of that socks begans to punture stightly due to extra stretching..
Ratan: Maa!!!! Dekho kya kar raha hai aapka ladla..
Sajjan unable to take her screams anymore, came to hall..
Patta: ab kya kiya meine??!
Sajjan:kya hua? subah subah kyu chilla rahe ho tum dono..shant raho tumhari jija ko headache hai..usse sone do chain se.
Ratan: par maa.. dekho na dadabhai ne mere socks ki kya halat kardi.,,
Patta: kya?! Yeh tere hai? Tabhi mein sochu yeh mujhe fit kyu nahi aarahe.. koi baat nahi. Yeh le tere socks..
He forwards the socks to her..
Ratan: nahi.!! Mujhe nahi chahiye aapki uthran..
She said with a pout.. her hands folded and her back facing patta..
Patta: teri toh..
He stopped as sajjan spoke
Sajjan: patta..!
Her voice was stern as well as pleading..
Patta signed and smiled at his mom..
Patta: oh meri anmol ratan.. yeh socks mere shoes ke paas rakhe the,, mujhe laga mere hai..
Sajjan: ratan.. ab hogaya ho toh jaldi karo beta.. school keliye der horahi haina?!
Ratan: aap na maa.. humesha dadabhai ka hi side leti ho!! Mein toh jaisi parayi hi hu aap keliye..
She makes a crying face
Patta: chalo accha hai sach apne aap hi bahar aagaya...
Ratan: kya.. kya matlab??
Patta: woh kya haina ratan,, tum na hume mandhir ke seediyon ke paas mili thi,, toh huyi na paraayi..
Ratan was getting way more serious as if she would burstout in tears within few seconds..
Patta: ab apna aur paraaye mein thoda farak toh hota hi haina...kyu maa!?
Ratan was silient for few seconds but soon patta broke into fits of laughter, even sajjan couldn't control her laughter as she chuckled a bit
Ratan was looking at patta and then at her mother with a 'what happened' look.. soon she understood that it was just a prank of her brother,, she stomped her foot and screamed in irritation
Ratan: dadabhai.!!
Sajjan: arre.. mein tumhe ekdam naya wala socks dilaungi na.. but aaj kaise bhi karke adjust karle na meri bacchi..
Ratan: par maa.. yeh dekho na,, yeh...
Sajjan: bas ratan..! zidd ki bhi koi hadh hoti hai... ab jaldi jaao warna class keliye late hojaogi.
Patta taking his bike's keys
Patta: chal aaj mein tujhe school drop kardunga..
Ratan: nahi chahiye mujhe aapki ehsaan..
She stood up finally wearing shoes, and said bye to her mother without giving a look towards patta, and rushed out.
Sajjan: patta..tum uss bechari ko baar baar kyu satate ho.. Ab dekho late hojayegi na woh.. ab bas usse punishment na mile..
Patta: maa.. pehli baat - woh bechari nahi hai. And dusri - mere hote huye usse koi chu bhi nahi sakta.. punishment toh dur ki baat hai.. so don't worry,, woh late nahi hogi..
Sajjan: usne toh tumhare saath aane se bhi mana kardiya hai.. aur tum jaante hona woh kitni ziddi hai..
Patta: don't worry ma.. mein uska bhai hu, rag rag se wakif hu mein uski.. usse manana mereliye koi badi baat nahi.. so chill..
He winks at her
Sajjan: arre par..
Before sajjan can continue further patta grabs his belongings, required for his classes and goes out
#Outside the chawl#
Ratan was still waiting for rikshaw as patta arrived there and asked her to sit fast..
Ratan: kaha na mujhe nahi jaana aapke saath..
Patta: abe o drama queen.. jyada natak mat kar.. tumhari english ma'am ki mota wala danda yaad toh haina tujhe? Time se nahi pohonchi toh ussi dande se teri khichdi banadegi woh..
Ratan remembering her english ma'am long stick gulp down the lump form in her throat with fear written on her face..
Patta: thik hai agar tum nahi aana chahti toh i won't force you..
And he starts to go but ratan stops him
Ratan: dadabhai.. mein,, mein aarahi hu na.. rukhiye..
Patta smiles inwardly at his sister's silly antics as they take their leave to school with a vroom..
#in ajabde's room#
Ajabde was having a severe headache hence she was sleeping in her room.. sajjan came in with a big glass of kadha.
She sat beside her daughter and caressed her head,,
Sajjan: ajabde.. ! Beta utho.. dekho mein tumhare liye kadha laayi hu isse jaldi se pee lo,, phir dekhna tumhara sirdard kaise jhatse bhag jaayega..utho na beta..
Ajabde slowly opened her eyes to see her mother smile at her fondly..
sajjan: chalo,, ab jaldi se yeh kadha pee lo.. tumhe aaram milega..
Ajab: nahi maa.. hume koi kadha wadha nahi peena.. iska taste na bohot ganda hota..
Sajjan: ajab!! Choti bacchi ki tarah nakhre mat dikhao.. jaldi peelo..
Ajab: par maa... yeh bohot kadwa hai!!
Sajjan: ohho.. peene se pehle kaise pata chalta ki kadwa hai ya nahi?! Peeke dikho.. bilkul bhi kadwa nahi hai,,
"Ab aunty kehrahi hai toh.. kadwa nahi hoga.. pee lona ajabde.." maan spoke as she entered the room with soubhagyavati..
Ajab: maan ! Bhago ! Tum log yaha kya kar rahe ho? classes attend nahi kiye?
Soubhagyavati: offo ajabde!! Tum yaha bimar ho aur hum waha baith kar boring lectures sunte rahe,, aisa kabhi hosakta hai kya?
Ajab: arre bimar matlab sirf headache hai.. aur kuch nahi.. theek hogayega.
Maan: ab theek toh usse hona hi hai..
Sajjan: yeh theek toh tab hogi na betaji.. jab yeh kadha piyegi.. par iske nakhre toh dekho.. ab aise kaam kaise chalega?!
Ajab: maa!! Aap meri dosto ke saamne meri chugli kar rahi hai?!
Maan: don't worry aunty.. aap yeh kaam na..hum par chod dijiye.
Sajjan: theek hai..! ab isse kadha pilane ki zimhedaari tum dono ki !!
Soubhagyavati: aye aye captain!!
Sajjan laughs a bit "mein aap log ke liye garam garam nasta banake lati hu" by saying so she goes to kitchen to prepare something delicious for the kids..
Maan: officer bhago! Kya tum iss mission keliye taiyyar ho?
Ajab: mission?!!
Bhago: i'm ever ready roger!!
Ajab: huh?!
Maan: ok then..
Ajab: arre rukho.. kya,, karna kya chahte ho tum log..
Maan and soubhagyavati looked at each other and then at ajabde and screamed at once "ATTACK!!!" And was ready to pounce upon her to make her drink the kadha but were stopped by ajabde...
Ajab: Fine ..Fine.!!! Hum.. hum peelenge kadha.. tum log shant raho!
Bhago: pakka promise?
Ajab: pakka promise!
Maan hands her the kadha that she has to drink..
Maan: ajabde.. if you are feeling better toh jaldi ready hojao... next class bohot important hai..
Ajab: ha.. i'll be ready in five mins..
after 20 mins
Ajabde came from her room in casuals... simple jeans and a full sleeve kurti with a neat french braid and a small pair of earings..
Ajab: chale..?
Maan: finally!! Hume toh doubt tha ki tum room se bahar aaogi bhi ya nahi..
Ajab: thoda late hogaya na.. sorry
Bhago: no worries...
Maan: anyways chalo.. we're already late..
Ajab: maa!! Hum log jaa rahe hai..
"arre par thodi der aur ruk jai na.. nasta karke chale jaana..bas hogaya.." says sajjan from kitchen
Maan: nahi aunty.. abhi se bohot der hochuki hai.. nasta karne baithenge toh aur late hojayega.. but don't worry aunty..hum kuch khalenge canteen mein..
Ajab: ha maa.. aap chinta mat kijiye..
*Sajjan comes out from kitchen*
Sajjan: accha theek hai.. dhyaan se jaana aur apna khayal rakhna..!
Ajab: ok bye maa..
Sajjan: tum dono bhi..
Maan & soubhagyavati: sure aunty..!bye..

*Maan calls her driver*
Maan: kya?! Par ab hum time se college kaise pohonchenge.. what?! Ok fine..!
*she hangs up the phone*
Ajab: kya hua maan?
Before maan could explain a car stops by their side.. the window of that car slides down.. it was none other than pratap!
Maan: dadabhai.. woh..
Ajab: tum!! Tum humara peecha kar rahe ho?!! I knew it!! Dekha maan.. yeh hai tumhare dadabhai ki asli rang!!
Maan: ajabde humari baat..
Pratap: oh please!! Hum aur tumhari peecha kare?! Impossible..
Ajab: accha? Toh tum yaha.. mere chawl ke paas kya kar rahe ho?
Pratap: kyu?? Yeh poora chawl aur iss road pe kya tumhara naam likha hai?
Ajab: ha likha hai..!! Toh?!
Pratap: toh kya??!!
Maan: arre shant raho..
Ajab: woh tum apne iss akdu bhai ko batao.!
Pratap: khud toh aise bol rahi hai jaise bohot bholi bhali ho!
Ajab: kyuki hum hai bholi bhali..
Pratap: oh really?!!
Ajab: oh yes!!
Maan: guys shut up yaar!! Tum dono toh aise ladrahe ho jaise pata nahi kitne janam ke dushman ho! Ajabde..
Pratap: jaane do choti..! Aisi logon ki muh nahi lagni chahiye...Anyways get in.!
Maan: ah bhai.. yeh dono bhi chalengi humare saath...
Ajab: kya?!!
Pratap: well, i don't mind..
Ajab: but i do.!! Maan!! Hume nahi jaana iske saath.. hum auto le lenge.. tum log jao.
Maan: listen ajabde.. pehle hi bohot late hochuke hai... ab auto ke liye wait karogi toh bohot late hojayega and then princy se punishment pakka..and upar se 1st class attend nahi kiya uske daant alag se..
Ab tum decide karlo..
Ajab: accha accha theek hai.. hum chal rahe hai..
Maan took seat in front.. and ajabde and soubhagyavati adjusted them selves at back seat..
As they flew towards their college..

Bhago: Thanks yuvraj ji..
Pratap: you're welcome.. and please call me pratap..
Bhago: hello pratap..! I'm soubhgyavati.. i know bohot lamba hai,, but you can call me bhago.. even maan and ajabde also calls me the same.
Pratap: oh, how sweet of you bhago! Tum kabhi apni sweetness apni bajuwali ko bhi diya karo... shayad tab kuch meetha bolne ajaaye..
Ajabde rolled her eyes whereas maan and bhago chuckled..
soon they reached the college.. and all of them got down from the car... maan and bhago rushed into the gates as the watchmen was directing them to get inside faster..
Ajabde got down closing the door and turned to go but she felt a tug and as she turned around,,it was her dupatta that got struck in the car's door.. she tried to open but it was locked.. pratap turned back to see her struggling with her dupatta.. "yeh ladki.." he signed and went to her
Pratap: agar dusron se help maang logi toh tumhara ego hurt hojayega..! Haina?!
Ajab: dusro se toh help maang bhi le.. but tumse.?! Kabhi nahi..!
Pratap: for your kind information.. yeh gadi humari hai.. toh tumhari help bhi hume hi karna hoga..
As the back door can be opened only from inside so he opened the window 1st with his key button.. and then he was moving forward to unlock the door from inside the window..
ajabde was facing her back to the window
Ajab: humare paas aane ki koshish bhi mat karna..!!
Pratap ignores her blabbering and continues to move forward.. and this made ajabde's back to collides the door
Ajab: dekh.. dekho.!! Ek aur kadam aage bade toh... toh hum chillayenge..
Pratap bends close to her ear.
Ajab: Koi baja...
Ajabde was silenced as pratap closed her mouth by his palm
Pratap: chup!! tum Pagal hogayi ho kya !! Hume bhi tumhare paas aane mein koi interest nahi hai.. samjhi??! Ab chup chap khadi raho! Let me unlock this door..
ajabde nodds her head in yes...
Pratap moved still more closer to her so that he can reach the inner lock of the door.. if anybody watches them in that position then they could've assumed that they were hugging each other.. ajabde was restless.. the unknown feelings that she felt with him in that washroom yesterday were back to haunt her.. pratap finally got the inner lock,, and he unlock the door and when he moved back..he saw ajabde had her eyes closed.. he removed his hand that was covering her mouth
Pratap: hogaya!
Ajabde opened her eyes to see pratap standing in the same position..
Pratap handed her the dupatta and moved back..
Pratap: next time gadi se utharte wakt theek se apna dupatta check karo.. baar baar help karne nahi aayenge hum.
Ajab: don't worry.. woh next time kabhi aayega bhi nahi.
Saying so she rushed inside the gate
Pratap: kaisi ajeeb ladki hai.. itna help kiya aur 1 thanks bhi nahi bol sakti..! Anyways.. hum uss chawl wali ki wajah se apna mood kyu kharab kar rahe hai..
Just then he gets a call from phool..
Pratap: comming sweetheart!! Just a min.
*he hangs up the phone*
He then walks inside the gates of his college after making sure that he had locked the doors and windows of the car very well..
