Versatile and good looking Rachna Parulkar is looking forward to some intense scenes in her popular ongoing historical show Maharana Pratap. "Right now we are showcasing the brave siege of Chittorgarh. Ajab De will soon come know that Pratap has died in battle in an effort to save Kalla. However in effect Pratap has not died. How they will play out my emotions is worth watching, Please do check it out, I cant reveal much but all I can say while Ajab De will be shattered but from inside her heart tells her that her fearless warrior hubby cannot die for he had promised her that he will back." Rachna who has done social shows, before would like to next try her hand's at comedy, "but something decent and not below the belt. To be honest there is no much scope in TV as far as different types of genres goes. I have already tried family(Ek Mutthi Aasmaana and Sapnon Se Bhare Naina etc) and costume dramas/historical (Maharana Pratap). I am always on the looking for something meaty."
Thanks to this show, she has leant sword fighting," I have not mastered horse riding yet, but I have done some scenes on horseback. Personally I am not much of an animal lover but my character has lot of interaction with various animal's (cow) so it is a different experience."
She goes on "it is also beautiful feeling as a woman to dress up in those heavy duty costumes. My Hindi diction has also gone up several notches thanks to the pages of ornamental dialogues which I have to mouth day in and day out. All this efforts seem to fructify when I get praise from my fans regarding my work and look, for at the end of the day we are here to impress our fans and give them quality entertainment."
For the moment, Rachna is quite happy and content with Maharana Pratap, "but if a time comes where I feel saturated here, I will then take a call of moving out and trying my hands at something else."Apart from fiction Rachna would love to shake a leg on Jhalak Dikhla Jaa," It not only has a great set of judges. But more importantly it is a pure dance format where the focus is on your dance only and not on your partner. "
