Thoughts on the upcoming leap

It's hard to put aside my disappointment over not getting to see the kids in these roles they've embodied so perfectly...but there are still some random thoughts occurring to me as I watch news/promos of the leap filter in.


1) Adult Ajabde appears to have been handed down Sajja Bai's jewellery😆...especially the maang teeka...and her costumes also seem heavily inspired from the styling of Sajja Bai...ironic, considering they were playing JB's tune on her in the promo🤔...and given all indications that she is supposed to be JB's successor in Mewar, one would think she'd be styled more along those lines...ki woh JB ki beti lage...jaise it has been established in the show all this time...that instant soulful connection that JB-Ajab shared from the moment they laid eyes on each other...but that doesn't seem to be the case.


2) Adult Pratap hasn't become the Maharana yet but his costume already seems like a duplicate of Udai Singh's...or is the promo implying that Pratap will go to get Ajabde only after he becomes Maharana?🤔


3) Aakhon mein ek TEJ hona...chehre pe ek tej hona...only two female actors had it in this show...a) Rajshree Thakur from the moment they introduced her as the majestic JaywantaBai and b) Roshni as Ajabde...despite the fact that her introduction was of a girl so stifled and hated by her father...still Ajabde was able to express an almost other-wordly/divine aura through her eyes...so far I'm not seeing that being carried forward through the leap...and for me that was one of the defining qualities of Ajabde...


4) Ironically I can't help but wonder about Phool right now😆...Bechari nikli toh thi back on her way to Marwaar but after that last "greh pravesh" shot of her stepping in the muddy puddle, there has been no sign of her...ghar toh pahunch gayi na Phool? 😕 Otherwise Mommy-Daddy Pratap-Ajabde will be very worried for her😆...Jokes apart, I'm honestly wondering if that was Jannat's last shot for the show...Phool ko better closure toh de sakte the.


5) The extreme daily soap cliche of showing JB just randomly abandoning Pratap...not believable...after everything she has done for her son, stood strong in the face of all the scheming from DB, she just up and leaves and seriously expects Ajabde who is very new to the politics of Chittor that she handle everything by herself? Very disappointing character assasination in the name of building an "angsty" leap premise...supposedly this should make us feel the pain of the characters and want them to reconcile...but it is lacking conviction...which will carry on into the leap.


6) Where is Akbar's promo?😆...He's been such a central piece of the show in the last 6-7 months with this undying love for Pratap😆...he also deserves a promo.😛


7) This is just a final general thought...some kids are irreplaceable...they leave such a deep imprint as a character that it is nearly impossible for anyone to follow up after that...Faisal-Roshni have done that with Pratap-Ajabde...they've become synonymous with the names of their characters...no other faces come to mind now when I think of these characters...the goodness of Pratap that Faisal embodied and the earthy divinity of Ajabde that Roshni embodied...they've left a benchmark.

Really? Well in the previous promos for the sagaai and engagement toh Pratap-Ajabde's costumes ended up being exactly as the ones shown in the promos.

I thought Sharad still looked fine in the promo...but Rachna is not embodying Ajabde to me...Roshni's eyes are brilliantly emotive...I'm not seeing that matching up...anyways, like it matters now😆...this JB-Sajja Bai hybrid version of Ajabde is what's coming...so be it.

i dont think so there are any chances of phool coming now...cause only three episodes r left(which am not gonna watch)

my thoughts on promo...i liked rachna especailly she resembles roshni alot sepically her eyes...i think she has that innocence...coming to sharad man he has been working out😆did u notice pratap was wearing ajabz shivji ki mala in the promo...ya sharad was okayish but ya we will have to wait and watch...though i am gonna watch mp after leap also...i cant abandon it just like that...been watching it since day one even before praja happened...i know cvs dimaag khaate hai atleast mp is far far better than other shows ...in terms of almost everything...the sets,costumes screenplay direction...actors

@bold: Well this is just my opinion but Ajabde wasn't just about innocence...she was a combination of innocence and strength in her eyes...

Rachna physically resembles Roshni...similar complexion, big eyes...so I could see why they picked her based on that...so initially I didn't think much of the selection but after seeing the promo and seeing the recent wedding epis where Roshni was seriously brilliant in emoting...the sindoor scene and the private vows scenes come to mind...now I don't see that spark in Rachna that Roshni has had as Ajabde.

The promo points to a reboot of the love story...which was expected...

But if they are going to speak of Ajabde's "tapasya", might have been nice to SHOW some visuals of that rather than just showing her running to Pratap in Paro-Devdas fashion.

what I feel is that if they have to show praja re-establishment again - it wont directly jump to pratap getting her back, it may be a repeat of one of their meeting sequences...either like that river sequence or a running into each other in a village mela - praja was never about looking grand...they connected coz they like to live a spartan lifestyle and simple living high thinking walley...I hope CVs remember that...

I haven't seen the promo don't really have an idea about her jeweleries, but itna toh i am sure her character would be identical to JB's, because after all we are going to witness a lot of sacrifeces and mahantas, Phool factr is there who'll make her do it..

The last point is just so true. PrAja will always mean RoSal to us. Pratap=Faisal Ajabde=Roshni and PrAja=RoSal
No one else can ever take their place. Even if they show adult praja for 10 years also praja would always mean rosal t us. ALWAYS.

Rachna deffo looks like she could be Rajshree's daughter😆...but if I come down to characters, Ajabde had JB's qualities more than a direct physical resemblance.

m still reserving judgement on rachna's acting skills...coz I havent seen much of her earlier show, except for catching up some scenes on YT, after her name came out...and I wasnt particularly impressed - she is doing better and looking better by her own standards in the promo though...yes roshu is way way more expressive - she is simply woww...she has been great with acting through her eyes since day one...but outshone particularly after the pratap bitten by snake and GJ attack👏 her only issue according to me was slightly accented hindi in the start few epis ...which became better and better in due course👏👏👏...again particularly after HB-Ajab convo where HB first time put forward her dream of seeing praja together - she threw ace after ace in terms of acting after that...its not easy to hold one's own in front of veterans like rajshri...she was soo good in that ancestral hall scene where JB breaks down...her calm voice could cut ice...such stealth...

maybe a week or so into new praja...it ll be easier to figure out whats the strengths and whats lacking and needs to be worked upon...

haha yeah I had the same thought...Sharad is looking like he could be Shakti's son...or twin😆...so yes he deffo looks like US's son in that moustache and those US type clothes.

Faisal's Pratap is on another level that can't be achieved...I think Sharad will likely play this more as US's son than trying to follow up Faisal...as it is, physically he doesn't look like Pratap was supposed to.

As for Roshni...you've yourself said it so well...the high points of her emoting as Ajabde...yes she faltered in diction and dialogue delivery time to time...both her and Faisal did...but I could let it slide simply cuz I was so blown away by their emoting! What intensity in their eyes! And the way they held their own in front of veteran actors...especially the way these kids held their own in front of Rajshree who was simply so majestic in both presence and acting...that is what really impressed me...the confidence and sincerity with which they played their roles... The kids have just been fab.

I love what you mentioned about Roshni's voice...just like her eyes...which have both a calmness and a strength in them.

As for Rachna...I've also only seen a couple of clips of her show and I don't doubt she can act...but Ajabde needed a different level of earthy and regal dignity...anyways let's see how she does as the show progresses...right now to me, Rachna is looking like Rajshree's daughter and Sharad is looking like Shakti's son...basically JB and US reincarnated as adult Ajabde-Pratap😆...and well...to me PrAja had their OWN identity when Faisal-Roshni played them.
