They will make Pratap male chauvinist

I found nothing great in new pheras.
It was dictatorial.

Oath for nation was great and justified.

But to tell Ajabde that she will be third in importance after nation and rani moms and she should not mind this was too much.

The way they worded it. That she will not interfere etc was not in good taste.

I see Pratap's tone more authoritative. Eyes more resolute.

Not the same softness he had in courtship period.

Infact he relaxed only when Ajabde accepted all vachan unconditionally.

I see ground being prepared for saas bahu and making Ajabde a scapegoat (by DB).

I hope Pratap is a better king, husband and father than his kaan ka kacha father US who ruined it listening to DB. Influence of choti ma is excessive!

Ajabde and Pratap will never be left alone? Today again Phool came to yelp that it was bidaai time!

I have no hope for real history or proper portrayal of Pratap. The juxtaposition of DB's oaths was not a good sign. Will she hog limelight forever?

JB was again preparing VB for consummation. đŸ€ą For God's sake! When will US' personal life stop getting undue attention?!

I did not feel positive watching the episodes. Not giving hope for future.

I see ground being prepared for the end his love story and more focus would be on his struggle which is good . Don't won't any romance or kitchen politics after leaps . They should show us pratap's struggle plus ajab's unconditional support for his duties towards motherland .

The rani ma dialogue hints at family clash as well as DB's scenes clubbed with PraJa.

I agree! but Matrabhoomi vachan was fine..authoritative yeah he was!
but see thats how PrAja is..they have always thought about motherland first.
Ajabde will be his "dhaal" forever. he loves her, respects her but matrabhoomi first. he doesn't mean that he wouldn't care for her at all.

Anu thik hai na..this is far better than showing him like this rather than showing him like US loving his ladies..i can digest that.

kitchen politics will defo happen.. đŸ˜”

I am usually a silent reader in this forum but this post made me want to share my two cents because I have immense respect for Maharana Pratap and Ajabde.

No offense but you are watching the story of one of the greatest warrior in Indian History and to consider his bravery, his sacrifice, his unselfish dedication and his strength (as demonstrated by these vows he asked for) as anything but admirable is very insulting.

You will find tons and tons of people in this world who fall in love, who only live for themselves and their few loved ones. But there is one in a billion (maybe) who lives for others, and both Maharana Pratap and his wife Ajabde are such incredible souls.

I am all about feminism but calling Pratap a male chauvinist is taking things a little too far. Pratap's mother was not just his mother but also his first teacher. She was the woman who made him what he was and to think that anyone can take that place in his heart is plain crazy. And I think Ajabde was the kind of woman who would have been disappointed in Pratap if he had said anything different.

In my opinion, their love for each other didn't make them weak, it made them strong and that is what makes their love story so special.

Anu,
I agree with the latter part of your post.
This serial is totally edging towards Saa bahu type dramasđŸ„±...
DBs vachans that too with her little boy alongside is only ominous of the upcoming sordid track!
And that dialogue where she said hum dharam aur kartavya ke beech uljha denge- that is so bolly court drama crass!!! and quite possibly Pratap Ajabde will give in to her ploys pretty soon!

They are going to show Ajabs gauna!!! - why Bhago dint have that?

Anyways as for the vachans, I found them pretty okay considering Pratap has dedicated himself to his land forever. I mean these seem very plausible given the extent of sacrifice they both were making with Marwar.

It is like JB said- You can run your country in peace if there is peace at home and heart.
I think with these vachans he only RE-conveyed to Ajab about his life's mission and how she would contribute to them.

As for not interfering in the kram of his preferences and Ranimas highest post, I was okay given the timeframe they were in... I think Ajab knows the kind of sacrifices JB has made for Pratap and understands her well. So i found it ok and not diminishing.

Yeah prob they could have worded it better.
And i dont really care if they butcher Prataps character with Bheem's gada now!
I have no hopes from MP after leap- w.r.t history!

I am not dragging feminism here.

I talked purely on basis of the show which is anyway taking huge creative liberties and often throws history to winds.

Boy and girl were never left alone the way they were left yesterday. So history is out of question.

Here Rani ma also means Dheerbai. And I see it as an assertion of CVs towards a typical saas bahu drama.

Maharana Pratap was obedient towards his father and mother. But never this influenced by his choti ma as this serial has shown. History only has record of her influence on Uday Singh. Not Rana Pratap.

In realm of creative liberties CVs took a rather questionable turn IMO.

Otherwise real history is about his motherland and the drama of wives or romances have no place in it.

Skep: He calls only JB as Rani Maa. When he said second place was for Rani Maa he meant it for JB not for DB. He calls DB as Choti Maa..
Well.. ya saas bahu types existed even in those times I think.. Actually I don't feel DB's character is something unusual even for those times. The queen politics happened a whole lot. Every queen wanted her son to be the king. Same with DB.
I don't want them to show Ajab also becoming like how JB used to be, all scared of DB...Together JB, VB and Ajabde should tackle DB.

Saas bahu or queen politics might have happened but there is no record nor relevance of it in MP history except the succession issue when DB influence led to Jagmal being announced the heir.

There is no denying MP show has cooked up lot of unnecessary stories of queen politics.

And they will do so in future also taking a cue from a show on rival channel that has made a great emperor a puppet in hands of palace women except for few occasions when he comes into his own and uses his brain.

Pratap IMO has given hint at all mothers and not just JB. He does not single out mothers. He did not need to remind Ajabde of JB because even he knows how fond they both are of each other. He clearly seems to have said it after the DB fiasco.

I am only scared of watching a typical saas bahu nautanki in a historical. MP is not merely about his mothers or queens. I do not want it to be a third rate copy of another serial on rival channel.
