She didnt wanted him, she created a physical prison to stay away from this man. But Jhanvi bought him again and again in her life. Still she tried to reason out with Jhanvi, please dont go to Ashwin. Ashwin tried to kill Jhanvi, but Jhanvi didnt had any problem getting married to him again and then committing suicide for him, not thinking about her daughter who will be left alone. And the situations post marriage aggravated it. I have not yet to comparison of this phase.

She said no matter what ever role you play if you can do full justice to it & play it out convincingly then the audience is bound to accept it . When you cant do that and people are not liking you means you are failing to convince them. She also said you need to have a broad mind and a big heart to understand Maya & where all are insecurities and thoughts are cropping up from. If you cannot do that you cannot love Maya 😳 Interestingly one thing she also mentioned is Beyhad is breaking of stereotypes , so the ending might not be a clique . Another interesting thing she said is when she got to read the whole script she was blown away by the story and after the meeting ended she told her manager she has to do this role. Don't think dying a death of a petty vamp would have blown her away and got her excited .

JW also said for you to play something convincingly theres actually a secret & then she stopped herself and said shes not going to reveal that secret now but on the last day of Beyhadh 😆


Actually I see people who support Maya does see from where her insecurities and troubles crop up from , at least I do , kept my thoughts flexible not rigid .

Does not that extend to giving Saanjh and Vandana the benefit of human mistakes as you do to Maya?

And to be honest Shruti, I'm not sure you've ever acknowledged that you might have made errors in judging characters- for the very longest time, you were sure that Vandana hatched a sob story to trap Arjun's father, and you even criticised Saanjh for wearing skirts, saying she was trying to ape Maya.

And being human means being able to acknowledge flaws in oneself and others. Perhaps I was wrong in expecting you to be relatively neutral- there is a definite tint in the glasses you wear while watching this serial, and dare I say, the likes on the post you receive, reflect the fandom to which it's pandering to. I wouldn't even have thought you to be the type to use chipku, Saanjeshwari and mahaan, but the progressive usage seemed to increase with time- perhaps an influence of the line of thinking of other responses. The influence might have been subtle, but it was disheartening to notice, especially because I've seen you from the beginning of this serial.

I try not to respond to all posts here because I respect everyone has a right to opinion but sometimes, when it seems to border on the asinine, I step in to put my $0.02. It's easily to get carried away in a herd, and if it can help even one person reflect on their line of thinking, it helps. And good or bad, I'm sure this forum is monitored by the CV's, and they need to see that there are varied, intelligent opinions prevailing here, and not just one line of thinking.

My original post was only on your (and others') comparison of Maya's willingness to murder for Arjun vs Arjun's willingness to murder for Saanjh and the hyprocritic holy white cloaks part. You took it to comparing Saanjh's anxiety issue vs Maya's psychopathic, obsessive issue (to me, there's no real comparison tbh) and it went from there.

I've never shied away from admitting that Saanjh has made some mistakes, and that her character has been crafted poorly, but on the balance of things, she's a far more human character than Maya will ever be, and it appears to me that the writers purposely make other characters dense and stupid in order to provide some kind of justification for Maya's actions

Why, yesterday I saw a fan writing that whoever supports Jenny but does not like Maya's character is a fake JW fan. I can only hope and pray she meant it in jest, but considering the number of retweets and aye-aye's it got, it seemed serious enough.🤪

And the ones that proudly proclaim that if being good and normal means being like Arjun and Saanjh, then they're happy to be called abnormal 🤪

PS- for what it is worth, I don't ship ArYa, don't think Arjun is the right guy for Saanjh, I don't ship JeShal, I don't ship AnShal, and I agree that JW is a far versatile and superior actor compared to the others on board.

@lepcha, ur flexible enough to accept Maya's heinous crimes of multiple murders and understand where her insecurities come from, but hold Saanjh Vandana and Arjun responsible and hate them for even human mistakes? Quite flexible in ur thoughts, I must say.

Ditto, Aekiel to ur PS, and also I don't ship SaaJun, don't care about who ends up with whom, think of Arjun as an irresponsible douchebag, and Saanjh Vandana Ayaan as stupid and weak characters, but cannot just cannot accept them being so called catalysts for Maya being a murderer. Nobody kills unless they want to.

Now look at Arjun. He also takes Saanjh as wife after a turbulent past with Maya. What we need to differentiate here is that, in Ashwin's case, Ashwin went for Maya. In Arjun's case also Arjun went for Maya. He told when divorce paper signed. Never to see you Maya Mehrotra. But he went again and fed her ladoo, told her he is getting married to Saanjh and Saanjh told when she dies, they will take saat phere. She reacts. Then again he goes and kisses Saanjh in front of her. She reacts. Post marriage actually she does nothing. Saanjh suffers paranoia. Jhanvi goes to order Maya's murder. Maya calls.

Maya tried to push Ashwin away from her life as much as possible. Jhanvi bought him. Now Saanjh, Arjun and Jhanvi have bought Maya back into their lives. It is they who went behind her and not she who came behind them.

Most interesting point. Saanjeshwari Devi was claiming if you want to destroy Arjun, I will become Maya anytime to protect Arjun. Is this what becoming Maya. In a way yes. The way Maya used to shudder seeing Ashwin, Saanjh shudders imagining Maya, hearing Maya. To the extend she gets brain stroke, so much for the dialogue I will become Maya to protect Arjun. Arjun himself has to go and shoot Maya to protect him and Saanjeshwari Devi.

Same way Maya had to go and kill Ashwin as Jhanvi couldnt protect her.

Other aspects of Arya and Saajun relations we can compare only post 5 year leap.

I hated Arjun always . Ayaan came out of jail and provoked his pregnant bhabi by telling her non stop that his brother will leave her because he loves Saanjh. He even drags a fully pregnant woman to the terrace to show her Saajun love. Just like Samay had done , taken a pic of them & showed her , so all these people knew and could see theres more to the relation between Arjun & Saanjh , they are not just friends. Then what does this Arjun do ? He tells his mentally unstable pregnant wife that Dusky is his pagalpan and he cannot leave her alone & has to be with her . Tells his brother who was accused of trying to rape his wife ( he didnt know he was framed ) to drop her home while he wants to stay with Dusky . This two brothers acted as catalysts to Vandanas death . Vandana had accepted Maya seeing the child .. would have been alive still had not his two idiot sons decide to provoke his DIL with their dumbness.

Now on hearing Saanjh brain stroke hes run to shoot Maya .. & Arjuns ex & current MIL are acting concerned, Ayaan is worried & ex MIL is even one step up . She had even gone to bribe the jailor to kill her daughter . Lets see with so much security & extra love will they all be able to keep Saanjh happy because Saanjhs happiness is the only thing that counts after all . Prem never liked Arjun but he too had to give in to this happiness of Saanjh & accepted Arjun . He was the only one who was shown to give worried looks at his daughters childhood dream while others were busy fuelling it.

The way Saanjh Arjun Jhanvi drain money on bribing goons khabris & cops you are left to wonder where all this money crop up from !

Arjun attempting to kill Maya for Saanjh's peace & Maya's actual killing of ashwin for her own peace are not exactly comparable situations, in my opinion!

The better comparison would be Maya killing Samay!

Why did Maya want to kill Samay?
Because, he was obsessed in love with Maya!
He refused to budge or leave from her life, even after her repeated refusals & rejections!
He was seen as an incorrigible psycho obstructing her smooth & peaceful married life with Arjun!

Why does Arjun want to kill Maya?
Because, she was obsessed in love with Arjun!
She refused to budge or leave from his life, even after his repeated refusals & rejections!

Maya used Samay & then threw away him!
Arjun too, could be accused of using Maya only to throw her away, later! A similar charge can be argued against him, by his critics!

Samay killed an innocent man Prem! So his death had some justification!
Maya killed Mansi for no justifiable reason! Prem's killing was not directly traceable to her! Vandana's killing was allegedly, a badala for bandar's death! Other killings might have some explanation, at least!

Maya was a master manipulator!
Arjun did manipulate Maya to secure his divorce from her!

Arjun is a criminal or not, only time will tell!
Maya is a convicted criminal!

Are then, Maya & Arjun made for each other?

Are they possessing more things in common?
Maya & Samay were thought to be birds of same feather who could not flock together, since she did not want that arrangement!
Similarly, notwithstanding the commonalities, ArYa could not stay together,since he did not want that arrangement to continue!
An adamant Samay was finally destined to die, as every thing else failed to stop him in his quest!
A final settlement of his love, was worked out & then delivered by the hand of his love of life!
An adamant Maya will have to finally die, as every thing else seemingly failing to stop her in her quest! A final settlement of her love, will have to be worked out & then to be delivered by the hand of her love of life - it seems that way, only now!

Is it not a fair situation to compare with?
