Vandana had taken care of Arjun. I dont refute that. She anyday is far better a mother than Jhanvi who didnt protect child Maya. But then she didnt give space to Arjun to make his decisions. The problem is that. Arjun the individual and independent decisions.

A mother can only explain his son the right path but ultimately decision lies with him.

It was Arjun's decision to marry Maya

It was his decision to not marry Saanjh which is what Vandna wanted

It was his decision to trust Maya over Ayaan

It was his decision to trust Maya and break relations with family

It was his decision to trust Maya over Saanjh and Vananda when they claimed that they had the proof

So, I think Arjun always had the liberty to make a decision but as we can clearly see he was proven wrong and it is only now that he realised his folly

And love is letting go. When has Saanjh let go of Arjun. She does it in dialogues, not once in action. But let us leave that aspect there as we disagree on that point.

Saanjh left Arjun for 3 years...Hr married Maya and Saanjh did accept his marriage...so, yes let us leave it coz as u said we disagree

Love is let go, and I want to feel that letting go from Prem's daughter. I want to see Prem's beti which I am not seeing. I was expecting Prem's beti from Prem's death but I see Vandana's beti, now Jhanvi's beti also with that arrogant smile, who doesnt raise a finger to fight for herself and wants Arjun to save her. I see the abla nari. I dont see Prem's beti in action whom Prem has taught how to swim, how to fight against the tide and how to let go the right way in action.

Yes she could have been stronger in earlier episodes

But yesterday she was ready to die for Arjun and she didn't bow down for once infront of Maya..she was not scared of death

I saw Prem's beti in her

I saw Jhanvi's that beti who took her care

I saw Vandana's that beti who is loving and can die for her loved ones.

At this point I see Ashwin and Rajiv in Arjun who has married Maya who before marriage claimed in a pub get a rich girl, almost drove her to suicide, who didnt wanted to reduce her madness, who had relation with her, who wanted to move to her luxurious apartment ( all this are dialogues by him) who became CEO of a company without much effort and who wanted another woman also in his life, and who took the hand of his madness leaving his pregnant wife. I wanted to see the man who didnt expose where he was at night and took the blame of copyright stealing and got fired. That was the Arjun Sharma Maya respected. That was the Arjun Sharma I also respected. Not this man.

I don't see Ashwin or Rajiv in Arjun

He is that man who went against his whole family for Maya

Who spent 3 years with her and took care of Jhanvi as well when Maya was concerned about her mom

He is that man who silently let Maya prove infront of the world that he was a wife beater

He is that man who supported his wife against his own brother, mom and friend

He broke all relations for Maya

He is that man who may not be a perfect brother , son and friend but tried to be a good husband...he wasn't perfect but at least he tried untill he came to a realisation that Maya had destroyed his and his loved one's lives, realisation came when it was too late and his mom had died

He is that man who lost a great deal

Now as you say that he was after the money then he could have proven long back that Maya was mad and could have sent her to a mental asylum and could have enjoyed her wealth

He could have sent Jhanvi in an old age home if he was a selfish

So far makers haven't given an evidence to show that he married Maya for money or that he was trapping Maya

As you said that u don't see what is shown but feel it

While I am going by what has been shown and proven by the makers so far. It really is a matter of perception

Yes whatever Maya has lost is because of her, her fear, her insecurities and most importantly her love which was her junoon. So let her leave that and reclaim whatever she has lost. She is capable of fighting another war. She doesnt have anything to lose. She has lost everything in the name of love. Beyhadh love. She doesnt know love and that was her problem always. So let her do what she knows best. Hatred. When she hates everything it will be better for her, because she knows the language of hatred which Ashwin had taught her very well. Let her speak that language.

She has been speaking this language since a long time

Her obsession for Arjun made her hate the rest

She killed Vandana out of hatred

She tried to kill Ayaan out of hatred and trapped him coz he hated that Ayaan was important to Arjun

She should stop this hatred and learn the true meaning of love...the importance of having faith in Ganesha

Darkness can never bring light to anyone not even Maya herself in my opinion

Coming to step mom, I analyze the character the way it is presented, it is not universal law or something. And this analysis which is with respect to just beyhadh need not be made universal law or assumption or my feeling on anything. I dont make judgements.

I have seen a show " Meri Bhabi" where Supriya Pilaonkar had played a step mom. What a character that was and what a wonderful bonding saas-bahu shared in it. It was a very beautiful feel good show. But alas it didnt get the required TRPs and shut down in about a year.

So was the bonding of Dr Dayal and Durga in EHT. What a beautiful bonding that was which every daughter would love to get from her father and Dayal gives to Durga even being not her real father. And how he plays a father figure to Dev giving him the bitter pill first but then when he come realizing who Durga is, he gives a heartfelt hug. It was a very beautiful scene between Dev and Dayal. Not a single dialogue but both the men knew what is the truth.

Love doesnt need language. When love speaks, heart sees it. Unfortunately my heart has not seen Saanjh's love, but only her obsession which is camouflaged in wonderful dialogues.

While my heart did see Maya's attempt to love, but didnt know the language of love and she messed up between language of love and hatred and ended up losing everything.

While I am trying to see what is shown and what is presented

To me Maya's love turned to obsession and destroyed everything in the process even herself

While Saanjh though makes mistakes her intentions were never to harm anyone and she did try to sacrifice her life for Arjun.

I was only going by the statement that you had given about Vandana and applied logic that if it meant for Vandana then same is the case with other step moms who get married to someone and try to care of their step children

@shruti yes Maya saving Jhanvi is unforgettable but Maya also tried to kill Jhanvi!

One thing that Jhanvi said right "Maya is not my daughter Saanjh is"
Absolutely true!!
Jhanvi and Maya are nothing like mother and daughter.
Mother never cared for the daughter.
Daughter at first was ready to die for her when she had no reason to do it.
And later we see daughter trying to kill mother for the strangest reasons ever!
As for Saanjh being Jhanvi's daughter, I think DNA test tak positive aayega.
Saanjh and Jhanvi are so similar.
Jhanvi did Ashwin Ashwin keeping Maya at stake.
Saanjh did Arjun Arjun keeping Prem at stake and the even goes on to celebrate with Prem's murderer!

Also it is so interesting to note.
Jhanvi made Maya a living dead, did not stop Ashwin from torturing Maya.
But expected Maya to always respect and love her mother, to not blame her for anything.
Even after doing this to Maya, she is Maya's mother, because she feels she has done no wrong.
Maya tries to kill Jhanvi and ends up making Jhanvi a living dead.
At this moment Jhanvi has a right to complain, she is not expected to love Maya, she can break all ties and tell Maya the truth now - she is not her mother.
Obviously she is not, no mother would do this to her child (and no child would do this to her mother).

As for Prem's legacy, no one in this show is Prem's legacy.
We have 3 screwed up leads who can only give us headache.
No one in this show can walk the path of Prem.

Arjun's character was always confusing to understand. What did he really want ? This guy accoding to me has failed in every relation. Be it as a son as a brother as a husband as a friend . He has let down everyone. Neither was he a good employee who used to sneek in beers and get his colleagues drunk break office rules nor an efficient employer who used to give everyone holiday whenever they wanted , was shown flirting with junior female staffs .

Yesterday Arjun telling he loved her always & he didn't realize the love hidden behind their friendship was epic. But to me was it really true love ? Does this guy even have a remote knowledge about how a woman feels or about true love ? After Saanjh had confessed her love to him what did he do ? He ran back to Maya and said something like Saanjh isnt his love & blah blah. Next he declares he will marry maya in a week without even thinking how would that effect Saanjh who had just confessed her love to him ! He was busy romancing Maya trying to kiss her whenever he got opportunity. Did he look sorry for Saanjh or a pang of guilt crossed his face when he saw Saanjh later on , he acted that Saanjhs confession never happened & they were all back to same Dusky Duffer dosti dosti . This was the best friend who never even thought or was seen thinking what kind of pain was Saanjh going through. There was a reason Prem never liked him & said he wasn't seeing her daughter in the same way.
But now after Maya turned criminal he started to see true love realization dawned on him & if you see he chose to tell his feelings the same way he used to do before Saanjh never thinking what is going in her mind . Maya took those 7 deadly vachans too seriously & she was true to it till the time she is married to him.

Her mom was her life earlier. We saw how Ashwin repeatedly tried to harm Jhanvi extorted money from her , did they show Ashwin loving Jhanvi & Maya was not allowing the lovers to meet. Ashwin had a mistress with whom he had plans to spend his life with Maya & Jhanvis money. He was a child abuser as well as a wife beater. There were times it was shown he had tried killing Jhanvi by making him take sweets. He even made her feel they were going to die together because Maya isnt letting them be together. What did he do next ? Threw Jhanvi in the water. Had not Maya arrived she would be drowned to death, Seeing Maya Ashwin saved Jhanvi not before Maya had dived herself & was going to be dead too. Maybe all this was planned by Maya too (acc to some ) . But after Arjun Sharma entered her life with promises Maya's love from her mom changed to him . So Jhanvi who was shouting to Maya about how a daughter should be should be the one to know how a mom should be . She was always unstable & created problems for her instead of solving.
Two people Arjun & Jhanvi should be the last of all to lecture Maya on relations & how to be true to them because both are failures.

So what now ? Arjun was saved & Maya's love would not stop for him until her last breath that was the seventh vachan, that she will never stop loving him ! But that would be if they would remain married . Those 7 vachans were for their marriage. But now in coming episodes we will see Arjun will divorce her . So now will this 7 vachans still remain ? Maya is free from these vachans now. Lets see. According to the actor who plays Ayaan Maya is going to come back with a bang & this time face off will be real not like the first time where Duffer gang was seen winning.

Shruti I just can't help saying you have my respect. You allow everyone no matter how different their opinions& views comment without ridiculing their intellect or mocking them personally. Its a great virtue. 👏

@shruthiravi, Duffer, Jhanvi and Dusky are really the last people on earth who can indict something to Maya. Dusky is friend - yes, Maya will never understand this friendship when your friend tries to kiss your husband. When your friend provokes your husband to lie. When your friend doesn't respect you enough that she considers it acceptable to snatch your right first put colours at husband. A friend who will dance with your husband in such a way that the whole world will turn a finger at your temple of a deceived wife who still sees in this obscurantism only and only friendship, and also justifies them

Arjun says he no longer loves Maya and loves Saanjh now. How can a person fall out of love with one person and fall in love with another person? I feel he is not committed to both the relationships

@manya do you realize what you have written in the post. Brilliant girl 👏👏. I would say just brilliant. Even it didnt strike me in the whole funda. Stop looking at the logical loopholes Manya, they are always there. Concentrate on plot line.You have a very sharp analytical mind which can come to good use in the future.

@athira Arjun has many colors, he is not just black or white. If you see he is the most complicated character of the show. What does he want. I dont want to believe he is Ashwin or Rajiv. I hope him to be different and I want to see that difference.

Jhanvi you are right. It is ganga and she washes everyone's sins and purify them, but alas Jhanvi of Beyhadh is the one who has put Maya in the dirt.

Saanjh I had hopes on her. She is Prem's daughter, daughter of a man who was embodiment of love in everyway. What we get from her is Arjun jaap and nothing. Identity less woman who only talks and flashes the most arrogant smile.
