The cliche that 'Maya is bad and mad' is not doing any justice at all, to a marvelous presentation of the character Maya!
Maya was /is & always will be beyhadh!
It is only just, if her charaterisation got its due weight & hence always qualified as 'beyhadh mad and beyhadh bad'!
She is an epitome of what bad can mean when it assumes beyhadh proportions!
She is an embodiment of what mad can get when it zooms to extreme levels!
Any underplaying or toning down her character is just unfair, given such a magnificent performance & portrayal by the central character of the show!
Anything is possible! Who can assure on behalf of CVs, they will not allow maya to cross a certain limit (of course, subject to contents permissible under act of cinematography & laws of land pertaining to public telecast for home entertainment!) ?Originally posted by: CaputDraconis
Marvelous presentation? Maya is one dimensional at her best. If anything, it's ONLY Jennifer who's given so much gravitas to such a poorly written character. By your description of Beyhadh, it sounds as if we can lump all kinds of evils on Maya just because Maya was/is & always will be Beyhadh. Like if tomorrow, if the makers turned her into a neo-nazi, even that would be acceptable under that blanket definition of Beyhadh. Is that so?
Convinced it as only pure friendship?Originally posted by: Fragrance63
@sumz_d, @shruthiravi, I still remember Ajun telling Maya in the hospital after he came back post Saanjh's confession of love for him that he loves Dusky a lot. He said something like, "Main Dusky se bahut pyaar karta hoon magar yeh yeh wala pyaar nahi hai." When M<aya asked him, "Yeh wala pyaar kya hai?', Arjun replied, "Yeh wala pyaar matlab junoon, ibaadat, beythadh, you know what I mean."
Now such a volte face from Arjun!True love happens only once and even if that love doesn't work out one cannot go to love another person. So his utterances of love for Saanjh now look so artificial and hard to believe. As the days go by I am losing more and more respect for Arjun.I am unable to digest this Dusky Duffer romance. The makers are leaving a wrong message for so many pure friendships that happen in real life between two people of the opposite gender.
