Maya's fall from staircase ensured two things!

1. She lost the child & the blame falls on Vandana
2. She got admitted in hospital & now in with an opportunity to complete the unfinished task of Ayaan's end! She was always very clear that Ayaan's time is up & he should go!

How the random fall will only cause miscarriage, without putting her own life in risk is something only CVs know it better! So, as Cvs wanted only child is gone, mother is still safe!

Not just that, she is still strong enough to pick up a fight with Vandana once again (as per some Video clip) & put up more drama like taking someone's child & crying to get Arjun's sympathy and so on! She must be a super woman to have so much strength to do all these drama after this terrible miscarriage! Of course she can do it once again, why not? She carried Ganesha & walked all the way to lake after her first miscarriage! Did she or not?
Maya is a very strong physically to do all these running around with Samay & later with Ayaan! They pushed her so many times nothing happened only when Saanjh or Vandana held her hand something terrible happened! Looks like in this show women are physically strong enough to cause miscarriages compared to the men!

Coming to the point 1, what she wanted, it is exactly happening! Vandana is now answerable for the loss of child! Does it matter now, if the whole incident is accident or staged drama? Who cares that Vandana too is a mother to complain about what happened to her son? Who is there to listen to her story?
The tables are turned against Vandana and as always happens Maya is the winner, every time!

Arjun was unhappy with Saanjh telling about Ayaan's condition to Vandana, over phone earlier, from the hospital! He feared it would create ruckus between two mothers causing danger to his bandar!
His fears came true! Obviously, Vandana's sob story will not sell!
Saanjh was also responsible for this loss for putting Vandana in tension, according to Arjun! So, simply Arjun is not going to listen to these two anymore & their version of Ayaan's tragic & equally horrific story is not gong to cut ice with arjun!

Now coming to the point 2, only surviving Ayaan is a problem for Maya! What Maya is planning to do with him, we don't know ! Either he might lose his life or Maya will make sure that he slips into some kind of coma, so that he does not talk!

Maya is not done with her tricks! Her fake death is still to follow! And grieving arjun can not bear simultaneous loss of child & wife! He has to soften towards her if she returns back to him by a miracle later! A living Maya is a new hope for another bandar, for him! So the world has not come to an end!
But some irritations like Vandana & Ayaan are getting removed like dirt!

Maya is not mad but very shrewd! Only she can steal a victory from the jaws of defeat in a flash!
Maya will rule in all seasons, that is how it is!

I had already condemned Maya but on reading your post I have decided to reserve my opinion on it 😆

There is a 80% chance that it was a deliberate attempt and 20% chance that it was an accident in my opinion

Your post gives a different insight to the episode. 👍🏼

It is very clear those who have a death wish, do the following!

The formula for death is
a) Find out something about Maya
b) Go & challenge her
c) Show her all the evidences & threaten her that Arjun will also be told
d) Finally end up as one of her victims

This is what happening in every season!

Ashwin & Samay ended as dead after extreme provocation!
Saanjh, Jhanvi & Ayaan appeared to have escaped death, after they dared Maya at some point of time! Jhanvi learnt her mistake after first attempt but still faced death second time for betraying Maya on the pen drive issue! She won't cross Maya again as she is living everyday under fear!
Saanjh survived the first attempt on her life but instead ended up losing her father! Now she is little wiser!
Ayaan did not learn at all and Maya in hospital is still a threat for his life!
Vandana's peanut brain is never good enough for her! After her torture in the door hinge, Vandana is still not learning anything like her son. Loss of bandar will claim the next victim as Vandana's fate is sealed now!

Mauritius priest & Vikram could be some exceptions as they merely appeared to her as some kind of threat to Arjun or her marriage with Arjun! Those two did not challenge Maya directly, at least!

1. It was perfect way to put blame on Vandana and to gain Arjun's sympathy like always

2. Arjun didn't listen to Saanjh when Maya suffered a miscarriage, he did not listen to his own brother in rape case, and now again he blamed Vandana...He tends to not listen to his family members in such cases and puts blame on them

3. Promo had hinted the same thing and raised the same questions whether motherhood can change Maya or will cross a new limit...If she kills her own baby then that will be a new line of obsession crossed.

4. She herself hinted at the same when she told Ayaan that she will not let anyone come between Arjun and her whether it is Ayaan or Saanjh or Vandana or the 'baby' ...She had said something similar earlier as well that Arjun is her pyar and baby is her jaan and one has to give up jaan sometimes for love

5. It was in the back of her mind that Arjun might leave her if the baby arrives...Vandna did say she was using the baby as a weapon to keep Arjun with her, so it is a possibility that she used the baby as a weapon again to get out the situation and buy some time.

6. I really hope Maya spares Ayaan, he has already suffered too much...I am baffled that Arjun did not see the blood marks on the floor which will still be there in his house...I also don't understand instead of cursing why didn't Vandana used to that time to inform Arjun about the blood stains.

I hope CVs make it clarify soon if it was a deliberate attempt or an accident.

Bold- I think it's because the makers want to show VM and Saanjh as self righteous characters, not righteous. Maya is a dark character and her crimes can never be justified. Nevertheless she's the protagonist. Hence to give her a stand, the other characters are kept flawed. Like Arjun. He could have been shown as an extremely selfless husband. Though he is a good hubby in my eyes, but he has his own flaws like wanting Saanjh around everytime. And now we know, he's with Maya just because she's carrying his baby, not because he loves her.

I am not saying whatever has happened to these character, they deserved it as they are slightly self righteous, but that's what the CVs want to project, I guess.

The problem is if writers reveal it to Arjun now or earlier about Maya's crimes then there wouldn't be much story left to tell except for Arjun vs Maya and hence writers in order to let Maya escape scotfree make others the scape goat and look like fools.

Saanjh , Vandana , Ayaan all went to Maya to inform her about the proofs they had against her and thus Maya found a way to stop them every time.

It is the writers fault that in order to let Maya escape they make others look like fools who dig their own graves.

Writers could have found another way as well..Like they could have shown Ayaan not informing Maya instead telling Saanjh on phone that he had the proof and may be Maya could have over heard their convo and thus decided to kill him.

But as you said they try to keep the characters flawed by making them commit foolish mistakes so that they can give an upper hand to Maya.

Same way Arjun did try to be a good husband...but then he is not a good brother or good son or even a good friend coz he has left Saanjh, Vandana , Ayaan at the time when they needed him the most in my opinion.

Now he says that he doesn't love Maya but is there in the relationship for the baby.

So, he is also not a pure white selfless guy but a man who has his own flaws... I can understand that during the 3 years that he spent with Maya he got so suffocated that maybe the love kind of faded away but then he goes and sleeps with her to comfort her...One one hand he says that he knows Maya very well but on the other he can't believe that she tried to Kill Ayaan and trapped him in a false case...He is a confused character in my opinion who has his own flaws.

I just wish writing was better and there was an even game played between Maya and the others, it would have been thrilling

Arjun vs Maya would have the best CVs could have given in this particular theme, with Saanjh backing Arjun. But they keep showing Arjun as bhola.

Also they keep on bringing in superstitious angle, show VM cursing ppl at the drop off the hat , we know Maya is psychopath, but why call her kaala saaya/apshaguni ?? And actually prove that she's one.

Mostly it's because the perspective of the show is from Maya's side. They have to make Maya say that the world has pushed her to do this and stuffs of that sort 🤔

Now blame of killing the baby will be on VM

^^ when did I pin point others mistakes to justify Maya's heinous crimes? U might have read my first post. I am saying she killed her baby. That's not justifyng her.
