If this is the path they follow then I hope they don't make Maya utter the same dialogues of "the world has pushed me to do this" etc. Because that's the worst part of Maya's character, which makes her highly hypocritical

Finally S2 which started with a bang but turned out to be a dragfest, ended and a new phase starts. The highlight about the Season was to show Maya's reality to the viewers. Congrats to those who had predicted her character accurately in S1 itself. 😃

Towards the end of S2 we were introduced to a new perceptive, the difference between Maya and Samay's obsession. While both are unhealthy and fatal, Samay's love is a form of lust and nothing else than that, whereas Maya's love is love, but it knows no limits. According to her and Arjun, whatever crimes she committed are just to have Arjun for herself. Thus for keeping Arjun with herself, if she can change for worse, she can change for better as well.

Spending 6 months in Wellness Mental Health Care, to save Arjun and her baby from her own "madness" or "darkness" , Maya seems to have taken a huge and a convincing step for her redemption.
Vandana who mostly has made the right predictions about her, seems to be convinced that Maya has changed! Arjun feels now their past won't come back haunting them.
While all are willing to forgive Maya and move on, we are introduced to Ayan who wants to unmask Maya's most gruesome crime, to trap him in false attempt to rape case. Jhanvi also seems dicy abt Maya's redemption.

Now from here we can have the story of Season 3 carried forward in 3 ways.

First is, Maya is really putting efforts to change and whatever illness she had, has been cured in the mental hospital. But Ayan n Saanjh who have faced the max loss due to Maya try to bring out her past crimes n unmask her.
Finally this leads to Maya's punishment. When she is actually a changed woman, her past karma bites her back. Arjun's role in this case will be interesting to see, whether he understands Maya or he too leaves her.

Second is- Maya really wishes to change for her child and husband's love. But her past crimes don't allow her to change. To stay with Arjun and her baby, she again starts playing games. This will put the show back to square 1 and Maya's dark journey will resume.

Third is, whatever we saw now was again an illusion set up by Maya herself. She hasn't changed, but faked her redemption to gain Arjun's trust on her. This time she has Vandana on her side as well. She isn't beemar but buri. And she crosses many more limits.

Maya seems to have changed in my opinion. ❤️
But how long she continues to be good has to be seen.
I liked Saanjh's dressing as well. Far better than previous seasons. She looked very pretty. 😳
Arjun finally seems to be managing all his relationships in the right manner. 😆

Btw what mental illness did Maya have? She can't be psychopath if she's believed to be cured. So is it that makers are trying to project her as a depression patient, yet commit such huge crimes?!

hey nice post..
@green...i will prefer this way, but i do not think cvs will show story this way and i think for now Maya has changed but her past crimes and something new (regarding Arjun and her baby) will make her to resume her Beyhadh nature so may be she cross another line.
@red...it can also be a possibility if cvs wants to show that Maya can go to any extent to outsmart people surrounding her and to keep her love (Arjun) with her.
@bold...same here, now it is something to watch that for how much time she can hold herself from doing something bad.

Hey! Thanks 😳

I think they are keeping both the doors open. Either a complete out to out negative Maya who has faked her treatment to gain Arjun's trust. Or a grey Maya who finally redeems her ways and ArYa as end game. Mostly it depends on TRPs I guess.

Though faking treatment is a high possibility going by VM's words and Ayaan's words in recent promo, but why would Maya stay in mental asylum and completely set Arjun free if she's faking?? Thus I felt like this time she's truly trying to redeem herself but due to her past crimes, or new insecurities regarding the baby will make her restore her Beyhadh nature.
But anything can happen in Beyhadh😆

Any thing is possible in this show. But watching how they played out the start of S3,option 1 seems unlikely. If maya is truly a changed person, the first thing she would have done is regret the wrongs she has done and come clean with Arjun. if she is truly changed she wouldn't have to worry about Ayan or Sanjh bringing her past crimes out. In fact, she herself would have come clean with Arjun by telling him everything bad she has done in the past to keep Arjun in her life. To me that is coming clean, right now it looks like another stunt to get Arjun back because she felt he was about to leave her for good this time.
I think option 2 and 3 are more likely. I would prefer option 3 but I think CV's will take option 2 route.

This I have to agree that Maya could have told about her crimes like murdering Ashwin n trapping Ayan and come out clean. because the way Arjun's character is written, he wouldn't have mind her killing Ashwin considering he supported her killing Samay.
Ayaan's case he would have been broken, but he wouldn't have left Maya for their baby.

But if we look from Maya's perspective,or any criminal who has his/her heart at the right place, it's hard to confess such crimes in front of your love as it comes along with a lot of insecurities of losing their love.

Option 2 is the most likely as CVs always have tried to justify Maya, TBH that's something very repetative and boring. Maya will again utter the same dialogue that she tried to change but the world pushed her to be an evil again. This also leaves the audience with divided opinions.

So either I want option 1 or option 3

@aditi love or prem will win 😆. I am not telling anything else now. See we have 3 men.ashwin creator of Maya the psycho.Maya I think is victim of ashwin. I hope Cvs don't whitewash him. Rajiv made Maya his victim and became her victim too. Ayan is Maya victim. Ashwin and rajiv Maya killed. I don't have much sympathy for both of them. Ayan is her victim and the man against whom Maya will have to fight and balance is not tilted in her favour as far as this man goes. So the arc of phase 3 depends a lot on the tugfest between these 2 characters.

Ashwin I don't think can ever be whitewashed. Even if Maya is a psychopath, all psychopaths are not criminals, Ashwin pushed her into the path of crime.

Even I feel love will win. Best possiblity is Maya at the end gives up her life trying to save Arjun and Arjun staying alone with ArYa baby. Or Maya accepting her punishment and finally after she returns from jail, ArYa uniting, as Arjun is someone who is always willing to see the world through Maya's eyes. That would satisfy all set of audience, those who want happy ending for ArYa or victory of good over evil.

But right now Maya is true or not , that's a big question.
Though I thought that she won't change at all but is it possible for someone to put up a pretence of living in an asylum and faking their treatment😕
So as of now I feel she has actually tried to change but again something will happen and she will go back to her own ways. That is option 2.

I am yet to catch up on the Monday's episode but scenario 1 hardly makes sense. If Maya is indeed a changed woman, what will be the storyline of the entire season 3? In that case, another negative character will have to be introduced which will be sort of like alienating from the main theme of the show i.e. the obsessive and limitless love of Maya.

Her past crimes should be brought in light and she should be ready to bear the consequences of the heinous acts she committed one after another! I am sorry but 6 months of therapy doesn't exonerate her.

Maya baby faked her treatment!! Congrats to all who predicted this! But still I don't understand how can someone fake their treatment in mental asylum. And how could she self admit herself into an asylum n get a discharge as well 😕
Answers- we would never get in this show😆

The Arjun's portrait with medicines was a cool idea to show Maya's dark obsession. Though it doesn't make sense that from where Maya got the glue to stick the capsules etc on the cupboard, but I liked the execution of the scene...😛

So it's following option 3 path, the out to out negative Maya, nothing "grey" left in her.
Anyway I am happy it's not option 2 that is Maya trying to change but "world" pushing her into doing crimes. Because that's something we have been seeing since the beginning and CVs always have used it to justify Maya's actions.
But now even according to CVs, there's no justification left for Maya and her crimes. She betrayed her "Arjun". She spoke about Prem's death, the version where she can come out clean before Arjun and the whole blame goes to Samay. But no sympathies for Samay as he was way too creepy than Desi Collins.

Ayaan was highly impressive today! Sumit looked damn hot. But what's in Arjun's mind. The precap scene showed Arjun trying to kiss Saanjh. Is he aware of Maya's manipulations and supporting Ayaan n Saanjh to bring out Maya's truth. Or it's just another misleading precap😆

Yeah option 1 has completely been ruled out with today's episode.

Though option 1 didn't absolve Maya's crimes, but I would have liked to see her at the receiving end at least once. Where her karma bites her back, though she really tried to change, satisfying the theory that love does bring about change in a person, but one cannot escape their karma even if their love is true for someone. Anyway CVs ain't following that path.
