Yes Shalini, she knew she was playing with fire...yet, somehow, I find such scenes very disturbing...I would rather that she just ends up in jail...

Was about to like the post but had to change my mind seeing this line:-

Nope rape is something I wouldn't wish upon even on my arch nemesis. Also it's sickening to see her getting punished at the hand of another criminal who himself as well deserves to rot in hell...law should take its own course and justice should prevail... ideally that's the track the makers should have focused on...

I don't sympathize with Maya, but I do sympathize with those who fall in the clever trap of CVs every time they successfully 'victimize' her. It's a tricky pattern that is being followed;

Maya tortures because Ashwin tortured her- sympathy in the form of justification

Maya falsely accused Ayaan of rape because he gave her an opportunity- justification

Maya is naive and Samay should rot in hell because he is lusting

They have smartly managed to keep Maya's character in 'grey area', making her a victim when clearly she is the perpetrator.

No woman deserves rape but not every woman is a Maya!

Maya is not a strong woman! She is not brave! She is only flattering to deceive!
She is a coward to the core! A person dies only onetime! Maya is dying every minute fearing her truth would expose her! Arjun gave her a million opportunities to confide with him! She simply does not trust him! What is the point in loving anyone without trusting him? Her behadh love is only farcical!

Who needs beyhadh love when you can not tell the person whom you love- about yourself, your problems & seek his support to stand by?

Life has given her enough scope to come clean with one courageous move to tell the truth! Alas! She is not choosing a path for her redemption, in stead she is going down the path of deception, manipulation, revenge, retribution & finally cover-up! How long is she going to hide herself from truth?

She does not require any other punishment as she is punishing herself with undiminishing sense of insecurity and fear! She is living a dog's life with no peace or happiness!

Maya is her own Villain!

When one wants to sympathise with her, she does not help herself to deserve one! She is not only making her life unlivable but actually troubling others in her life as well! Her actions cause a lot of collateral damages and that is going beyond acceptable levels!

No one wants to hate her but she is begging every potential sympathsier to hate her with her senseless obsessive & selfish love for one person!

First of all this is not related to rape at all and people need to understand what's happening in the show. Samay is blackmailing Maya. Maya is listening to him, to save herself from being exposed. She has multiple options, for her not to give into his desire, she can call police, she can tell everything to Arjun. But nah.. our poor innocent victim Maya don't want to do that.

All these days she manipulated and tortured everyone. Now its really good to see her at the receiving end (at least for now).

Whatever happening now is the aftermath of her own actions. She got trapped in her own game. She asked for it. So zero sympathy..

We can't ignore facts and assume things according to our convenience and then start judging.

One has to look holistically at every aspect and then deduce any conclusion.

First, you have no right to call anyone 'stupid' for their opinion.

Secondly, your claims are baseless and ignorant. Samay had misleading monologues, that's a fact. Ayan too was revealed to have had no intentions of raping Maya. His sole aim was his brother, why would he want to rape Maya? It's good to use brains before saying anything.
