Here are some of your comments ...

There, you were defending a wife who had murderous intentions, n who had 2 failed murder attempts on her husband...her husband disrobed her to search for hidden weapons, n he did it because she insisted to not involve maids in the search...

Now, though Maya deserves severe punishment, I don't see any way by which she deserves to be the object to satisfy Samay's lust...here, Samay is clearly hinting towards rape after having clearly molested her since the last few episodes...

Maya deserves to be in an asylum, & behind bars...definitely...no sympathies there...but this...this post is disappointing, to say the least...

Yes Khushi, I very well remember those posts of mine. Because up to this point, I had been judging Maya through the lens of a 'normal' woman; a HUMAN BEING above all. It had seemed that Maya had accused Ayan of rape because of some misconception formed through his dialogues and actions of ripping her clothes.

But then, it was revealed that Maya had cold-bloodedly planned to frame him. At that precise moment of this reveal, Maya stopped being a human in my eyes.

As for those posts of mine, first accept my congratulations on going through the drill of digging up months-old posts of mine, that too from another forum, nevertheless! This merits a standing ovation to you on my part. 👏

Back on topic, yes, these are my views on rape and sexual assault/violence as a whole. But I see now that I needed to put a disclaimer below these posts which stated:

"All aforementioned views apply only to women who are HUMANS".

Yes Shalini, she knew she was playing with fire...yet, somehow, I find such scenes very disturbing...I would rather that she just ends up in jail...

Honestly there is nothing in this show which is "Not Disturbing"

Being in Asylum or jail, which I am sure she will end up.. I find that to be an easy way out for what she has done... Two psychos committing crimes.. Thats all what the show is about...

😛 Handled well...

@Sumz_d : first, the extreme character that Maya has been shown wouldn't really exist in real life with crimes not noted at all... It is just that fiction... And CVs are working dumb... Such people are more often recognized at earlier stage and treated accordingly and this stupid show has portrayed woman has been diagnosed and yet nothing about it... So comparing Maya with any real person would not be good idea..
Specially because person sounds impulsive or doesn't like Maya... Because honestly there is nothing to like about what she does and what she has been doing... Her (infact our) reaction to Maya, is something extremely normal given that all she has done... I still believe there is nothing wrong in being a Maya hater... Because that's exactly what show demands.. 🤢

I don't feel sorry for Maya, but Samay aka Rajeev is a disgusting pervert. That much is true. I feel sick thinking he is in Saanjh's house acting like a goody two shoes all this time. The guy is evil.

One thing about Maya I will say is, she has only revenged herself on anyone she felt threatened by. I remember even when she was plotting to kill Saanjh, when she found out Arjun cut ties with her, she said "Arjun saved Saanjh from dying". She was not going to kill Saanjh for fun. She thought it may be the only way to get her out of Arjun's life. Yes, she's crazy. But she won't kill Saanjh for any random reason.

Even Ashwin. If all she wanted was to kill him she could have done it years ago. Even hired someone to kill him. But she only killed him when she thought he was going to kill Arjun. So Maya is a psycho and she is evil, but she is not evil like Samay is. He is truly dangerous coz he really has no "Haadh" at all. Maya's "Haadh" is her fear. She fears losing someone that she is obsessed or fixated by. If she feels threatened, then she will attack. But she won't attack for fun.

So in that sense, evil as Maya is, and deserving as she is of punishment, I feel a guy like Samay is even worse.

First n foremost, I accept your standing ovation, though it wasn't too tough to search that...just had to go to your "my post" n find the CN forum posts...was a matter of 2-3 mins...another 2-3 mins of copy pasting...😃

Secondly, let's not divert from the topic of discussion here...I didn't know that views about rape of women, that too such strongly opinionated ones, differed from show to show & from women to women...

N your saying that Maya is not a human, does not change the fact that she is one...yes, she is an extremely evil human who deserves to rot in jail...but a woman she is...

I still don't understand how Samay doing the "worst" with her (suggestive of rape) is the acceptable punishment for Maya here...all past & current comments on this topic sound very shallow & baseless then...

When Ayan wanted to free his brother from a woman who had clearly kidnapped him, it was obvious that there were no salicious motives on Ayans part...yet you n a few others insisted that since Ayan was dealing with a woman, he had no right to manhandle her to retrieve the keys...I didn't see anything wrong in Ayan trying to retrieve the keys anyways...

A criminal is a criminal...I don't see any reason to be sexist in this regard...nor do I see any reason by which rape can be justified for certain type of "inhuman" women, while it's a strict no-no for all others...rape is a strict no for any person, male or female, criminal or not...period.

Anyways, peace out & I rest my case.

Yeah well said Priyanka.

All these days she manipulated and tortured everyone. Now its really good to see her at the receiving end (at least for now).

Whatever happening now is the aftermath of her own actions. She got trapped in her own game. She asked for it. So zero sympathy..

Shalini, I totally agree that Maya has brought about Samay's wrath upon herself, all by herself...she is a criminal of the highest order, n deserves punishment by law...the highest punishment that there is possible...I have been one of Maya's strongest critiques till date, n continue to remain so...

Yet, I cannot applaud Samay's actions, nor justify them, coz 2 wrongs never did make a right, did they??

True

To sympathize with Maya or not is up to one's own self...to each his own but the truth will remain that if Samay tries to force himself on Maya then that is wrong and a punishable act no matter what...Maya is a criminal and so is Samay and both deserve punishment by law but Samay trying to forcefully get physical with her is wrong.

Hi! I have always been a silent member on this forum but this post has prompted me to state my opinions.

First of all, I disagree that rape is the worst thing that can happen to a woman. I saw people in this thread claiming that Samay cannot be worse than anyone just because he is a rapist. I really don't believe this to be true. Why is rape a worse crime than murder, which is the crime that Maya has attempted to commit multiple times on the show? Perhaps the severity of a crime is subjective. However, I do believe that portraying Maya as the hapless victim is hardly believable.

However, I do believe that the legal system is the only party that has the right to hand out punishments. Therefore, I do not approve of or condone Samay's treatment of Maya at all. However, is it hard for me to sympathise with Maya? Extremely so yes. Do I believe that both of these people are vile human beings who deserve severe punishment? Yes. I am not going to say anything about Maya's mental state. However, someone's mental state should not a basis used to justify any wrongdoing he or she commits. Maya should get help ASAP.

On a side note, I am so excited to have finally gathered enough courage to post on this forum. I look forward to having creative and interesting conversations with you all! 😊

Not only the karma hit her hard because she falsely accused Ayan and now is getting it in real but also she seems having no problem with Samay when she needs him. She can accept his advances when she needed him for the company in the past. She can go by her own to meet him and let him bite her and touch her when she wanted to trap Ayan. She can give flying kisses when he helps her. So even if no one deserves it, it's hard to feel bad for her. How can you sympathize with her when she herself doesn't know what she wants ?
