Both are to be equally blamed. If Maya wouldnt have started this at first, nothing of this sought would have happened.
But Samay's role is just gettin worst, it seems like he is more mentally unstable.

What is regressive is both Maya's and Samay's acts. Please don't quote Pink which is just a film. . If you want I could furnish statutory laws and case precedents to you where court has thrown out rape cases citing incitement.

She so right. Even I am a big fan of Piyush I still Hate Samay.

About Maya Yes she did bring that on her self. even after watching their story, She still deserve it. but I do feel bad for her.

And even if I am a layman I feel rape is not the answer to incitement. This horrible mentality is formed in those men who think of women as inferior to them. And Samay is such a person. If he wants to punish her why not resort to other forms of punishment?

Samay is trying to control Maya by sexually harassing her which is a condemnable act.

And I am not talking about the past. I am talking about Samay telling Maya to sleep with him on the day he gets married to Saanjh. Who will condone that?

@bold Maya invited Samay to rape her?? She faked to be a victim of "attempt to rape" and not rape itself which is equally shameful...The point here is Maya never invited Samay to rape her... In past it was mutual consent and now she is forced to submit...Even if she is sowing what she reaped, she is getting her punishment so she shouldn't be punished by law right?

But in this serial, the so called victim (Maya) repeatedly sought Samay for favours. Let's assume she was raped by Samay when she went to him the first time asking for favours. A lawyer would argue it in many ways. The victim was given options. Samay did tell her that he wants something in return. Which was, either sleep with him to get her business back so that she could get back at her father or choose to walk out. I have not see him forcing himself on her. She was free to walk out. I did not see him forcing himself on her neither did she accuse him of rape. She was okay with it because she got in return what she wanted.

One thing to think here is would a rape victim repeatedly go to the perpetrator asking for favours? Would any victim do it?

Later, we are shown that Maya used him for her personal vendetta. From the beginning she has been using Samay. He was a pawn, a tool in her hands. All along she promised to love him and even made gestures to support the same.

Which rape victim would go after the perpetrator asking him to do another act of rape?

So where is the crime committed? Is she truly a victim? What are we arguing about Rape being a horrible act. The whole topic of Rape is another subject. Yes it is wrong, vile and despicable. No one should undergo such an experience. No one is condoning it.

All we are discussing is the circumstances shown in the serial. These are two separate topics.
