Today I checked for the meaning of Ayan. I found 3 meanings. One pathway to Sun, second it is another name for Shiva, third God's gift. I dont know which meaning CVs have taken for Ayan. But in anyways you look he is the one who is going to end the Maya or perception. If it is pathway to Sun, Ayan is that medium through which finally the light will come, if it is Shiva he is the one who takes the poison for the benefit of the world, he is the one who rises above Maya to see the truth. If he is God's gift, then the oppourtunity if it ever exists for Maya to get cured it comes through him.
Now you will ask after seeing such a sordid episode why I am making such an analysis. Reason is today Ayan took Maya's pagal pan to full extend. Yes he instigated her in such a way that her pagalpan stood exposed in the most vile form. A form in which even the baby wont survive. How can this woman be a mother. No she is a threat to her own child. Earlier also I told Maya needs child to keep Arjun and she is jealous of her own child and Arjun keeps the marriage for the child. child has to be the effect of a good marriage, not the cause to hold a broken, toxic and suffocating marriage which is that of Arya.
If you look at past Ayan was the medium through which Vandana held onto her broken relation with Arjun. Arjun loved Ayan, not his mother. Today he wants his child may be not the child's mother. He doesnt realize it is the mother who brings the child. You cant have child without the mother.
Earlier also I had mentioned Maya is in third degree of mental cancer. Arjun's mother was suffering from third degree physical cancer. With what Maya did to Ayan today mercilessly the stage is completely open for Arjun to leave his mad wife who has no chance of getting cured and go back to a new life where Saanjh will welcome him with open arms. If Saanjh marries him no one will question as of course Maya is bad and mad and her recovery looks almost nil. I really wanted this part because that is the darkness of Maya. Words sting her. She is affected very much by words as each time she hit Ayan the words rang in her mind. After hitting him sh talks to him asking him why he made her do it. No in this case Maya is the cause and Ayan is the effect. Ayan's anger cannot be wished away. Saanjh and VM should have known the pain in Ayan's heart rather than asking him to keep quiet. His fight for justice the way he deemed fit landed him in hospital now.
If you look most probably Maya would have suffered something similar from Ashwin. When Maya was ramming the car into Ayan I felt her history before 9 years is getting repeated or what happened to her on 9th birthday is get repeated. The justice denied is showing its most ugly face on a person who was not the one who perpetuated the crime against her. 18 years has gone by from Maya's 9th birthday. But Maya still lives in that moment, still lives in that past.
Today Ayan had taken that poison. Saanjh stopped it from killing him. Actually I was reminded of another parallel scene in season 1. Angry Ayan goes in bike, Saanjh goes behind him, in the same time a car accidently kills the reporter who fought with Arjun. When Saanjh brings him back he tells to Vandana if Saanjh was not there he would have been killed. I was thinking about the significance of that scene. Today Maya attacked Ayan in the car and if Saanjh had not reached on time Ayan couldnt have been saved. So Ayan took the poison, but Saanjh stops it from spreading. So screenplay is connected. Every single thing in season 1 and season 2 will open up in season 3.
