@aditi Jhanvi has lived so far without hearing the cries of help of her daughter. Did she try to help her daughter once, to come out of the mess, by keeping away from Ashwin. Every time she had killed almost killed Maya in season 1. Wasnt that crime. Isnt making a criminal out of your child to satisfy your lust , your weakness a crime. It is a crime not able to stand up to your husband to protect your child. What redemption did Jhanvi do for that crime. In fact nothing.
Though I dont support what Maya did, I am not sure what the deranged mind of a child will end up in, if she had indeed suffered that torture.

This I completely agree with you, Shruti...Jhanvi has been the most atrocious mother to Maya...a mother is one who goes to any lengths to protect her child...n Jhanvi totally failed Maya...I have always said from the beginning, that I blame Jhanvi more than Ashwin for Maya's state...as a mother, Jhanvi could have protected Maya from Ashwin...I refuse to believe that she couldn't have...I still remember the episode when Maya was questioning Jhanvi in a teary way as to why she didn't protect her when Ashwin was breaking her bones...uff...my heart had cried that day for Maya...😭

Though what Maya is doing now is not justified, coz 2 wrongs can never make a right...they together only create disaster...

Shruthi di u know that how much I hate Jhanvi. That day when I was utterly annoyed with Maya, even then I had expressed abt Jhanvi's failure as a mother.
And of course Maya has suffered a lot in past. That part was actually showed today. That she called out for help n Jhanvi didn't come.

But the thing is can CVs "redeem" Maya after showing her doing such things like making Jhanvi paralyse n attempting to kill. I mean I am talking about the direction the story is taking, trying to give a clean chit to most of the characters. Thankfully they are not giving a clean chit to Ashwin, that's the only relief.

Jhanvi has always been spineless and she definitely failed as a mother...she never came to her own child's rescue when Ashwin used to beat her or torture her...if only she could have taken a stand against Ashwin and would have protected Maya then maybe Maya wouldn't have become what she has now.
If only she wasn't so blindly in love with a man like Ashwin , if only she had the courage to be there for her daughter , Maya might have been very normal like any other girl.

Even though Jhanvi went to Ashwin and tried to kill him as he tried to harm Arjun and Maya and for the first time she did take a stand for her daughter but it was too late.

Ashwin is the worst father a child can have and Jhanvi is a weak woman who couldn't be there for her own child when she needed her the most

Jhanvi was a weak woman and that is why she didn't take a stand for herself and also for her daughter...Ashwin used to beat her as well and she used to suffer quietly. She did love her daughter but was not strong enough to protect her.

Now as far as Maya is concerned...all of this doesn't take away the fact that she has gone too far and her crimes are henious and what she is doing cannot be justified.

She keeps blaming others for her own actions and tries to justify them...but a wrong is a wrong and cannot become right.

Also 2 wrongs will never make a right.

There is no justification for trying to kill your own mother.

She needs treatment first and foremost , then she needs to realise that what she has been doing is wrong , after getting better she needs to repent for her crimes and after that only one can think of any kind of redemption if there is any.

Aditi..how Cvcs r giving clean shit to other character deeds..Cvcs r showing the mirror of all the characters,v r knowing their real face..only difference,Maya is punishing them for their doings to her rather than law..Maya is I'll becox of these people,so law won't punish her putting her in jail instead will send her to asylum...

So excited for last track..revenge all these people want Maya,Maya saying I am bad and mad to them..if Maya dies or lives all alone by showing what is rejection to these people, that's the good end for me..

I loved today episode on 2 counts. One dialogue of Samay and Arjun. It was the best part. Samay didnt tell who he was talking about, but every word he spoke was true to Duffer-Dusky relation. No man would love to see his fiancee in another man's arm so intimately and no woman would love to see her husband with another woman in a compromising position. It is a fact. If in season 1 Maya had confronted Saanjh, Saanjh would have exactly given her the replies Arjun gave to Samay. That Arjun is Maya's she is now only friend blah blah. But that doesnt make any difference. If you are friends post marriage/engagement your spouse/fiancee gets more importance than your friend. If the friend is of opposite sex you need to be mindful of your actions not to create unnecessary MUs. Samay told Arjun to leave her, because she cannot leave him. It is true for both Dusky and Maya. That scene had a clear cut hidden message in it. Time or Samay have targetted Arjun. He clearly told when I close my eyes I see her, when I open my eyes I see you and I understand there is a difference of you being there or not. Also the line there is a difference between love and obsession. Yes in a way Arjun is obsession of both Maya and Saanjh. Maya is obsession of Samay and Saanjh obsession of Arjun. Maya is Arjun's love, while Saanjh is his Junoon. She cannot be his Junoon, neither can he be Maya's Junoon, he has to be Maya's love. Maya can be Samay's Junoon, because only he can destroy her which is needed.

Now coming to Jhanvi. Again that scene was quite contradictory. Maya telling why didnt you hear me out once. See that part where she talks about her childhood is tragic. Where she was put in a dark room and she kept on crying asking for help. No one came. Her belief that mother will come, mother didnt come. For me that was the point where Maya's trust broke. Mother is that person in our life on whom we trust so much. With whom we feel the most secure. The first call when you are troubled mostly goes to mother. The person whom you want near when you are sick is mother. Yes mother, if we close our eyes we feel the most secure when we think out Maa. But in Maya's case Maa itself made her insecure. Presence of Maa meant her tormentor will come. Her Maa will go for her tormentor. In earlier analysis also I had put, Jhanvi broke Maya's trust and so far no one has done any action that could regain that trust. When Arjun told to Dusky he doesnt love her to some extend Maya was assured, but when he went for Dusky and Samay came with that photo once again the broken trust come to fore. Maya pushed Jhanvi. But what I liked about that scene before Jhanvi falls Maya holds her. She tells her she killed Ashwin because he tormented them, she made her mad because the court will leave her. They can start a new life. But again Jhanvi chooses Ashwin, telling she will expose Maya for taking Ashwin away from her. At every point Jhanvi's loyalty was towards her husband and not towards the child he tormented. Today in that bathtub no one heard Jhanvi, just like no one heard child Maya in that dark room. The darkness that engulfed child today manifested itself in its most darkest form justifying her action as a mother. Asking her mother to give life for her and telling she is taking life for her child.

Maya will lose Arjun, I feel it is in the cards. If Jhanvi doesnt survive then Maya will be all alone with Samay stalking her.

What did Maya talk about that proof. I heard something like it was a cry for help. There was some disturbance so couldnt hear it clearly. Can someone put what was said.

Yes that's right! That's the only kind of redemption left for her character. Because CVs are just making her darker day by day. So I think season 3 will be abt Maya's redemption as many people believe or it could be showing her even darker. I would not be surprised if we get the latter. N towards the end just last 2-3 weeks we get some sort of redemption if possible.

Suniti, Maya is ill because of her childhood abuse by Ashwin, n her spineless mother...

Vandana, Saanjh, Ayan- all are Maya's victims...we can't say that Maya is what she is because of V, S, A...the mother in V saw thru Maya's facade from the beginning n hence she couldn't accept her...today's episode proved that while Maya was pretending to be a good bahu in the Sharma household, she had killed her father a couple if days back, n almost killed her mother a few days later...so clearly, it was all a pretence which Vandana saw thru...which mother can accept a psycho killer for her son??...think n answer..

Seeing her die will be very hard for me, but yeah that's the most plausible ending now

In my opinion she is going to get darker...and if there is any kind of redemption then that will happen only towards the end of the story not before that.
I feel Maya hasn't relaised that what she is doing is wrong..there is no realisation on her part...she keeps justifying her actions...redemption comes only when a person repents for the wrong deeds and for that to happen one has to realise that what he/she has been doing is wrong...untill and unless there is realisation there cannot be any redemption or any efforts to redeem.

Since Maya is mentally ill she has no sense of realisation of the wrong she is doing...and hence the first step towards her redemption will be if she gets treated for her illness.
