Mothers can never be worse than their wards. Mind that.. I pretty sure believe she suffered from Stockholm because she loved her abuser, her daughter's abuser, she lacked brains that's all. And that's something medical and emotional. She has always suffered from an inferiority that her husband chose someone else whatever be the reason. That's what drove her to aswin whenever he spoke sweet.

I absolutely disagree jahnvi ate sweets on purpose because she ain't manipulative. Sorry. But she's driven by fake emotions. Momentary love from a husband who abandoned her, satisfied her. Doesn't mean she didn't love maya. I'm pretty extremely sure she has been feeding money to aswin in order to protect her daughter from any truth that aswin would have disclosed. How does that make her the world's worst mom?

Jahnvi ain't strong and can be easily misled. Plus aswin had abandoned her, and maya had given her the life of a prisoner. Can you even think of the mental condition she went through?

Yet she didn't even think for a second to write off the 49% share to Arjun's name because that made her daughter happy. She keep shut and even didn't hold back telling people that she was mad, not maya. For her happiness. Yet she's worth only being hated?

Jahnvi was never wrong in saying that maya was like aswin, she carried his blood. We can see her ways. Doesn't mean she very well knew she would slit her wrist or said that to provoke her to do so. Don't judge people that way. You say words out of distress not to provoke someone to suicide. If a mom says to her daughter, " You have made my life a hell" doesn't mean she wants her daughter to die. Don't judge a mother this way. Please don't.

The same weak jahnvi went to murder aswin, for the sake of her daughter's happiness, threw him out of the office when she believed he sent mails to defame maya. Does that really mean she's the world's worst mom?

Jahnvi is the witness to Maya's crimes. We have seen her silent but she knows everything. A weak soul seeing her daughter a sadist. Very wrong of her to feel bad?

Maya's mental condition is contributed by both aswin and jahnvi. I agree. But not every woman is born with equal personality. Doesn't mean she doesn't care for her daughter.

Women like Jhanvi are classic examples of what happens when women live long in an abusive relationship.

1. They lose all type of self-respect.

2. They start respecting the abuser, which is actually fear in disguise. As we all are egoist beings, we never accept that we are afraid of someone. The deeper the fear, the more strongly we believe that it is respect.

3. As usually happen with women, they look at children as an extension of their self so they stop respecting their individuality and their freedom.

4. It is not only with Jhanvi, I have seen with many women doing the same thing with their daughters. If, unfortunately, their daughters refuse to be a product of consequences and take her command of life in her own hands, then they hate her most because looking at her make the mother feels how different her own life could be if she could dare a little.

A spouse like Arjun who won't give up hope of trying to make you a normal person no matter how much you torture him and his family. The posts on here are making it seem like Arjun has wronged Maya, when Maya is the one desperately clinging to him.

lets not forget who has triggered Maya first to take such aggressive step and you probably didn't understand my meaning on spouse like Arjun, I meant he is quite emotional and impulsive who could not keep balance in his friendship and love, It is hypocrisy to only blame Maya on everything, everybody is responsible for their actions.

See guys when I watched yesterday episode what came to my mind was the scene Maya jumped in the river to almost her death because of Jhanvi, and Ashwin bought her out. Arjun was on the shore, but what prompted Ashwin to jump in the river to get hold of Jhanvi and Maya was Arjun. Arjun was the catalyst, but that scene was quite of symbolic of Ashwin himself finally saving Maya with Arjun as catalyst. The hope for Maya comes from Arjun. Else Ashwin would have allowed her to die. I had felt Jhanvi can take Maya only to her death or near death seeing that scene. And Arjun can only force Saanjh to do his bidding for Maya in the name of friendship. Between love and friendship, friendship has to compromise was one of the dialogues in season 1.

@atonement I loved your last line and I believe it is true also. Yes seeing the daughter a mother can feel how different her life would have been if she took a stand.

I think lot of secrets of Jhanvi are gonna get revealed soon. I feel that Jhanvi-Samay face off is still pending because it was Jhanvi-Ashvin plan probably that separated May-Samay. Remember when Samay came to see Maya at her office first time he said he want to tell her truth to clear misunderstandings I bet Jhanvi is involved in ruining Maya's life.

In fact Jhanvi can be main villain killing people not Maya.

I disagree.

She very well knew that Maya loathed Ashwin from every cell in her body. And if I recall right, it was said due to the fact Jhanvi was desperately trying to get Maya to forgive him and reconcile with him completely overlooking every single f**king thing Ashwin had done. The impact of it was overwhelming on Maya's fragile mind. She knew Maya might have a reaction like that to it.

While I agree that we shouldn't be judging a mother that way, but you still can't deny that Jhanvi was an awful mother.

Her genes and Ashwin's too play a very wicked game with Maya. She's got the worst of both of them.

And well, the environment catalyzed the whole reaction. Every single time, Jhanvi chose Ashwin, expect for the last few days, (but who knows it would have been like she thought she gets Maya married off and then live with Ashwin happily?) And then Arjun never left one opportunity to mess with any lady around him in the initial days, I bet a normal person wouldn't be able to tolerate that.

Though you're right that Jhanvi too was insecure but at least she could have made sure her daughter doesn't end up that way?

She does care for her daughter, but she is one of the MAJOR reasons why Maya is like this. And no one said she's only worth hatred. She induces a fair amount of pity which covers up her mess ups.

What really intrigues me is how she never got better despite given the opportunity to. She was on therapy and medication. Why did she not get better?

PS: Maya had to keep her in control, for her own good. Since Maya has seen Jhanvi being so reckless and one mishap and poof she's gone she thought Arjun should be controlled too.

There was a lot of truth when she had said "Control mein rehne ki itni aadat ho chuki hai, ki ab control choothta hai toh ghutan si hone lagti hai"

Yeah, that would be awesome. May be Jhanvi actually killed Ashwin and she tried to commit suicide after that because of guilt or because she was suffering from hallucinations of Ashwin's ghost or possibly to try to save herself from going to jail. This is the most interesting possibility rather than Maya ,Arjun or Samay killing.

May be she killed Ashwin so as to stop him from breaking ArYa marriage. She may be thinking it as a means to redeem herself by finally doing something good for Maya after all those years where she just made Maya's life miserable and also possibly broke Maya, Samay's relationship.

What if no one pushed Jhanvi, it was her hallucination or Maybe Shipra Ashvin's mistress pushed Jhanvi for revenge. Shipra has been missing after his death.
