The curious case of Maya Mehrotra : PSYCHOPATH or not?? - Page 6

I was convinced that Maya is a psychopath unless yesterday I planned to watch interview of ted bundy and Jeffery dahmer... I also read what they have done... Jeffery was involved in killing his victims dismembering them amd preserving their body parts and also in necrophilia and cannibalism... He drilled a hole in one of his victims and poured acid in the brain... He was so calm and composed in his interviews... He was talking about his victims so calmly as if talking about some recipe... The most creepy thing about him was how polite and well spoken he was... And he scored 22 in pcl test... After his hideous crimes (without any motive) he still doesn't fall under the category of a psychopath...
And ted bundy in his interview blamed his crimes of raping and killing women in most monstrous way on hardcore po*nography... ( will have to give it to dahmer at least he took the whole responsibility not blaming tv parents or po*n). I totally know that po*n can't make anyone do that... A normal person doesn't go killing people after watching po*n but still a part of me believed me that's how convincing he was...
After comparing them to Maya I doubt that she is a psychopath...
Maya is very scared of the consequences she might need to face for her crimes... But I have read somewhere in internet that psychopaths don't feel that... Some studies were done where non psychopath criminals and psychopath criminals were said that they will be given an electric shock after 12 seconds... Non psychopath criminals had more difficult time while anticipating for the shock than the actual shocks.. But psychopath criminals felt no such anticipation...
And about punishment for psychopaths, I have read in internet that psychopaths are born not created... Upbringing may act as a catalyst... The part of the brain that feels emotions is deficit in the case of psychopaths which causes lack of empathy towards others... They see others as an object... This leave me confused whether to hate them and hope for the worst type of punishment for them for being the monster they are or feel sorry for them for being born this way... I mean it's not their mistake if they are like this due to some defect in brain...
Sorry for all the rambling and I apologize if my facts are wrong anywhere I didn't study the subject... All my knowledge is from internet...
P.S : Don't watch dahmer's and bundy's interview at night... I generally like watching dark shows or movies but still their interviews disturbed me... They seemed so normal and polite while talking that they even convinced a part of me to feel sorry for them even after knowing their horrendous deed... I can only imagine how convincing they must have been towards their victim... The fact that people like them can be anywhere around us makes it even more scary...

@HadhSeJyada - I thought we were clear on why the argument on comparing Maya to a real life psychopath doesn't hold water. If you still think it was because it offends people, then looks like all the discussion we had has gone in vain. In any case, you needn't worry. I have got this particular topic taken care of. (:

When Maya was laughing at Samay/Raeev,"People are thinking I am mad but actually you are ..." and she gets interrupted by the 'Chitrahar' on the screen- Samay wanted to show her with shock & awe!

That was a clear evidence of her state of mind!

Sorry I haven't gone through the previous arguments so didn't know it has already been discussed... As soon as I finished watching those interviews I remembered this post and came here rambling whatever I felt 😊
