I completely agree that if ashwin had I'll treated Maya he is the worst and deserve the best punishment. Similarly, if Maya has done evils she should be punished too. Telling Maya shouldnt be punished BC nothing proved or BC she is the heroine & ashvin deserve to be killed BC Maya said he is evil, is not logical.

I'm sure Jhanvi will have her version of story & her reasons for not hating ashvin. Ppl were bashing Jhanvi for being doormat, but seeing Maya, it can very well be that Jhanvi was trapped & she was manipulated like arjun

See from what has been shown I personally think that Ashwin did those things to the 9 year old Maya.

It is hard to believe that Ashwin didn't do anything...he was not a righteous man...we know that from the things he did in the present...he blackmailed jhanvi , had a mistress , manipulated Jhanvi into commiting suicide and Maya was afraid of him..Jhanvi tried to keep him away from Maya always...he was not a goody two shoes at all...he was portrayed this way by the CVs for a reason.

I am not sure makers will go to the extext to portray Maya completely black...there has to be a reason as to why Maya is the way she is...there has to be a reason for her mental illness..the way makers had portrayed Ashwin..he was not a saint..so from story's perspective if we think he must have done something that made Maya go over the edge and thus got mentally ill and then Maya must have done something extreme which Ashwin wanted to tell everyone about.

His side of the stroy definitely needs to come out and so does Jhanvi's

Maya definitely deserves punishment and treatment...what she has done cannot be justified at all...her past needs to come out

As much as I want her to get punished for her crimes and get treatment

As much as I want Saanjh to reopen Ayaan's case and Ayaan to get justice

I also cannot justify what Ashwin did to a 9 year old Maya coz so far there hasn't been any hint or a clue that it wasn't the case.

I am convinced Maya was brutally abused in childhood by Ashwin, which left her emotionally scarred for life. Ashwin's cruelty sowed the seeds of Maya's illness.

There have been enough scenes & indications to that effect.

Yes, 9 year old Maya did attack him & crippled him , but I firmly believe that was purely an act of self defence...Nothing more than that...N self defence can never be wrong...

But the tragedy is that this paved the way for Maya's mental illness, which damaged her moral compass, & now, from her pov, she probably believes that all her manipulations & actions including crimes, are justified, as all she aspires for is that elusive happiness which this treacherous world kept her away from in her childhood...So now, she wants to clutch on to what ever she thinks can bring her happiness at any & every cost ...(here, Arjun)

This is no justification for Maya's crimes, just a glimpse into her mind, maybe...

Maya needs to lose at the end, otherwise there's no point of extending this story. If Maya wins throughout the show, then there's no meaning to the story except to show that 'Evil won every single time'. There should be CHANGE. And that change would be done when Maya is finally thrown off from the peak.

If the show is going the Gone Girl route, then I don't think Maya will lose in the end. Maya's true nature may be revealed to us along the way, but she will still emerge victorious despite her misdeeds just like Amy in GG.

I think for Maya to lose, she needs to have a formidable opponent against her which I don't think Saanjh is (yet). As of now, the people around Maya are so annoyingly dumb, that they they are willingly falling into her traps. So until and unless those characters buck up, and start entwining Maya in her own game, I don't see her losing anytime soon.

Gone Girl was a super-dumb movie. Don't know why people are upholding it as some kind of gold standard for 'crazy manipulative bitch'-themed thrillers. 😆

Honetsly, Beyhadh is far more logical. And unlike Amy in GG, Maya is an empathetic and complex character since the latter has been through inhumane childhood abuse. She has to heal; otherwise there'll be no point to the story. If she stays mentally ill till the end, then the story would be rendered meaningless.

i think the way Ashwin behaved with Maya triggered her mental illness and after that she must have done some crime which Ashwin wanted to bring out in front of the world.

Now what crime could it be I have no idea

Rest we all can speculate what her Sach can be..Let's wait and watch
