What Ashwin did to a 9 year old Maya cannot be justified...the way he put cake on her face , locked her in the dark room and poured color on her...a child doesn't deserve this...this was henious
Yes we do need to know what exactly happened in past , how Maya destroyed as Ashwin claims his life..what exactly did she do, why Jhanvi loved him if at all there was a reason...Yes his side of the story as to what Maya had done needs to come to light but as far as his actions are concerned he was a bad person and there is no justification for his actions.
It was clearly shown that Ashwin was after Jhanvi's money , he even had a mistress, she manipulated Jhanvi into commitment suicide, he used to blackmail Jhanvi for money...all of actions were henious.
Maya's truth needs to come out but whatever Ashwin did cannot be justified in any case.

Absolutely! I am appalled to see many Maya haters justifying Ashwin's actions to child Maya. Like really?🤢

Maya has done many things which cannot be justified and she indeed is wrong on so many levels...but one cannot justify what Ashwin did to a 9 year old Maya at all.

I don't think this show is about anyone particular character. This show is about "limits, limitations" specially related to love and how people can get entangled in such an abstract concept that they can go to any lengths. The story is being told from Maya's pov, but it's also about Saanjhs beyhadh love, and soon potentially Arjun's ( I don't believe he has truly fallen in love, yet, but let's see), etc. You have seen what happens when Ayan's love for his brother drove him to his brothers house and try to resuce him, clashed with Maya's beyhadh love.. both cases, it's about love, and different forms it can take.

Maya's punishment is her beyhadh love. She reveals in it, and she is also miserable in it. She tries to control it by thinking she can control Arjun, but her own love will be her downfall. Every trick she has used to show her beyhadh love will come back to but her, ultimately leading to her death, as I don't think there can be Maya without her beyhadh love, and anyways that's what she promised Arjun when she married him.

So true...Sad, but true.

Had Maya not been ill, Arjun would have been so happy with her. Had she not been so obsessive n a control freak, maybe they could have still lead a wonderful life.

But the whole point is that this whole Arya relationship has been nothing but a web of deceit & lies, right from the time Maya fell in love with Arjun n she told Jhanvi that "it did not matter whether Arjun loved her or not"...How can it not matter???...Therein lies the problem, actually...I hope the entire past is revealed thru FBs during the next court room drama...& A lot thru Jhanvi too...

Maya thought that just the way she ran a successful business with her complete control n domination, so could she run Arya marriage similarly...Sad...Really sad.

I truly believe that her childhood abuse has reduced her mental state to a condition wherein she doesn't comprehend the difference between healthy & unhealthy relationships...It's just her persuit of that elusive happiness which has turned her into a dangerous criminal without her even realizing it...

While I would love to see Maya punished for all her crimes, a part of me still wants to enter my TV screen n just hug her...Hug her tight...

Completely Agree with u. ArYa's relationship is actually an example of Beyhad. Extreme love and extreme hatred both are toxic.

@bold That's what the show is all about even those who want Maya to get punished sympathize with her

The best thing that can happen is that maya herself realise her mistakes, accept it wholeheartdly, gets punished for all her sins, and then come out as a better person instead of showing maya die or she won at the end.. This will be a good message to the society.. I hope this is what cvs planned at the end of the show..

You think a person like Maya will ever lose? 🤣
She doesn't even know the meaning of defeat 😆

How are you sure ashvin treated Maya like animal. That was what Maya told? How are you sure Maya was not harming herself and made it look like ashvin did it. Just as the way she made it look like Arjun was beating her. The truth can be very different than what Maya told

How are u ppl so confident ashvin I'll treated Maya. Did anyone other than Maya tell that. Can't it be Maya was harming herself and made the world believe ashvin did it. Until Jhanvi tells the story of Maya childhood, Ashvin can have a benefit of doubt
