Why did Maya tie up Arjun?

She couldn't stand that Arjun wants to spend time with someone other than herself. So her obsession forced her to drug, abduct and tie up Arjun.

She might have some other ulterior motive too. Who knows what she would have done had Ayan not come to rescue him.

Knowing Maya it could be the latter but then in this case it could be the first point too. It is humanely not possible for Maya to predict Ayaan's actions with this precision. There is always room for so many things to happen differently based on how Ayaan chooses to react. So if they show that Maya predicted exactly what Ayaan was going to do and planned for it accordingly then that's a huge blooper IMO. Because realistically it's just not possible.

I am pretty sure Maya hid the key inside her dress to prevent Ayaan from taking it. Now it's yet to be seen if she anticipated that Ayaan will try to rip her clothes to get to the key and hence did that purposely to trap him or if she thought that hiding the key inside her clothes will prevent him from taking the keys and was genuinely shocked when Ayaan began ripping her clothes to get to the key. I am hoping it's the latter because if it's the former then that's falling really low even for Maya.

That being said what Ayaan did was still completely unacceptable. Even if his intentions were not to molest her his actions were exactly that. Also, his words and actions can easily be mistaken as an attempt to molest / rape by anyone. Instead of Maya if it was another woman there who hid some keys and Ayaan did the same thing to get the keys from her then it's totally believable that the woman would interpret his actions as an attempt to molest her. Here because it's Maya, who has a history of faking things like this, there is a possibility that she is intentionally blaming him. Also, how can someone's intentions be proven without doubt when their actions speak otherwise.? If someone commits a crime and then says that it was not their intention, how can that even be proven in court?? How can you say what was going on inside someones head?

If tomorrow it's proven that Ayaan did do what was shown today albeit not with the intention of rape, then I'll be really disappointed if they project him as an innocent victim of Maya's manipulation. Yes the rape charge might be false and he might be a victim of that manipulation by Maya but he in no way can be considered innocent if those actions were indeed his. He needs to be punished for molesting a woman. I hope the CVs treat the issue sensitively. There are too many real life cases of men thinking that "molesting" a woman is an acceptable way to teach her a lesson.

Also, what's your take on Samay today? I felt like he looked a little lost. He din't look angry enough for someone who claims to love Maya. Also, I could'nt read his expressions after that. Was it the actor who din't show much reaction or was the character not supposed to react?

Ayaan would definitely tell the judge what he saw through the pinhole and Arjun can't even say he had been soundly asleep or whatever.

Some things just don't make any sense whatsoever.

I didn't understand one thing when Arjun woke up he wasn't tied and the door wasn't locked from outside. How? 🤔

Yes right.. there are no ifs and buts..they have a fixed plot and things will go exactly according to how Maya ''wants''.. no scope what if this doesn't happen.. We have to settle for the logic that Maya gets what she wants at the end of the day and all loopholes get plugged in somehow.. :P But if we are to think from that angle - what if.. then I'd say if Ayaan had not gone to the extreme of assaulting her and had just slapped her and walked away.. she would have got what she wanted i.e Arjun without all this drama.. and Ayaan lo if he had no qualms in getting so physical with Maya just to get the keys, he could have just knocked her over, got the keys and freed his brother.. 😆

I don't think this case is going to go to the court.. there may be some out of the court settlement.. Maya wouldn't want the chinks to get exposed, would she? She can also come out as this forgiving soul and may grab this opportunity to find her way back in Sharma house.. Vandy may also be nicer to her..Arjun was moved today.. because he knows Ayaan was drunk and angry so he can not overlook Maya's condition this time..

Ayaan is the culprit here.. I don't think his words matter unless he has a witness to back his statement.. If Arjun says he was drugged and tied up then Ayaan has a chance but I have a feeling he won't.. he is somewhere sorry for Maya coz what happened today was wrong..

Maya must've opened him up cuz she used the same ropes I guess...

But other than that I feel like Maya tied him down cuz he was struggling to be let go and wanted to leave. Maya probably tied him down so he wouldn't be able to leave... other than that, when ayaan came she was a little surprised..

Nonetheless ayaans behavior was disgusting and even tho he didn't rape Maya, but he was certainly manhandling her and pull her hair and tore her clothes
It was not a good site to see

I think Maya tied up Arjun so that he doesn't come in to interfere and prevent what would happen. I don't think Arjun's purpose is to testify against Ayaan because he was I a drugged state and he didn't actually see what happened. Arjun's only purpose there was for Ayaan to get provoked, to want to free his brother and do something drastically that can get used against him. Plus, with Arjun having heard some of Ayaan's dialogues, Maya gets a bonus where Arjun would be guilt-tripped and would choose her over Ayaan.

Maya knew ayan and Arjun reconciled and posed a threat that he would go over to the other side be rekindling his old relationships. So when she saw Ayan was following her, she hatched the plan to et up Ayan for attempted rape. When Arjun woke up in the morning, he would further see Maya's condition, coupled with what he heard yesterday, would push him away from his family and right into her arms

I don't think it will work this time though. Maya has deceived Arjun many times, and he will see right through her now.

I can provoke someone however much I want to but it's ON the person as to how he/she reacts to the stimulus. Why did Ayaan use those incendiary, sleazy words while confronting Maya? He could have simply called the police or given a tight slap instead of getting absolutely physical with her?

I am not sure if I can buy the theory of Maya having the ability to gauge his actions with surgical precision because the whole set up has too many loopholes and Maya doesn't stand a chance when she falsely levels rape allegations on Ayaan whose motive wasn't that anyway.
