There is absolutely no justification for Ayan to have spoken to Maya like that, or even acted like that. I think he meant those words more along the lines of threatening her ' I know how to deal with you' ' you were my bhabhi' etc. I think what I'm trying to say is if he said the same words to a man, it would mean I wanna fight you cuz you crossed the line. They weren't specifically sexual words directed at Maya. Again, this is my interpretation feel frrr to disagree.

I don't think this is about Maya having super thinking abilities or anyone's ability to get provoked. Rather it's about Maya's ability to manipulate situations and attack people at their weakest, twist it to her advantage. Starting with the whole issue, she banged her head on purpose, knowing that flight attendants who'll do anything to ensure she is treated, getting her own ambulance and drugs to keep Arjun. So when she sees Ayan following her, she ofc, manipulates the situation to her advantage by locking her Mom up, and arjun, and the chaos with Ayan ensues.

Maya knows her opponents well, trapping Ayan in attempted rape, is child's play for her, and very effective in messing with Arjun's mind and gives her more stronghold on him. As if to say, look, you wanted to leave me for your family, look what they did

Ps: I just watch the show as a neutral viewe, no favorites , no moral high ground. Etc.

Firstly, I'm neutral too and Maya's character is salvaged only by Jennifer for me.

Ayaan specifically said she deserves something worse than death and what's worse for a woman other than death? He obviously crossed the line there with her by spouting those slurs and acting like an idiot. Why I don't believe this is all a set up is simply because this is more disadvantageous to Maya than Ayaan. Ayaan's main priority was to retrieve the keys from her and that's what he'd tell the judge too. With further investigation, Maya's entire game plan about tying up and confining Arjun to a room(Ayaan's seen his brother through the keyhole) would go kaput. Maya doesn't stand a chance to win the case.

In Gone Girl, Amy self inflicted wounds to trap her opponents in attempted rape. But in this case, Ayaan's action point more towards a sexual assault bordering on an attempt to rape prima facie. . He shouldn't go scot-free.

Im assuming based on some hints
Who would unlock the door n untie arjun if not maya also what a perfect timing of samay he came with police? How he knew something wrong is going on that he came with police?
Ayan was wrong with his actions but maya is not completely innocent.

Maya knows Ayan will not return without his brother after finding him locked up. She knew he will fight her for the key. That much happened, ,he did physically attack her. The rape attempt was Maya's making I think.

OK, let's assume she wanted the physical confrontation to happen. So what would she have done had Ayaan didn't get extremely physical but just slapped her instead and walked off?

How will she convince a judge about her sudden return to normalcy? Arjun seems to be moved by Maya's recount of the showdown but shouldn't he think about why he was tied up in the first place? Ayaan would definitely tell the judge what he saw through the pinhole and Arjun can't even say he had been soundly asleep or whatever.

Some things just don't make any sense whatsoever.

She's Maya Mehrotra. She knows everything. She can gauge reactions pretty well and she modifies he plans accordingly. She knew Ayaan wouldn't leave without taking his brother. Yeah, maybe the sexual assault was just a cherry on the cake, but she surely planned to frame him in some or the other case. Ayaan saying that Arjun was tied up i think will require more evidence, i don't think the judge is going to buy that. Yeah, Arjun should probably think why he was tied up, but probably for him it can very well be that owing to her medical condition, Maya tied him up so that he doesn't leave her again. So he can dismiss it as her pagalpan. Or maybe this was just an error on Maya's part, but knowing maya it's highly unlikely.

She wanted Saanjh out of Arjuns life... Maya took Arjun sympathy by fake pregnancy plan
She wanted Ayaan out of Arjuns life...her plan is to make Arjun emotional and throw all relatives out of Arjuns life...now this Rape Drama...

Saanjh, Ayaan and Vandana need to keep distance from Arjun otherwise they will face problems in life... Arjun is Hanikarak for them😆

Though I feel maya tied Arjun not to escape from her home but I feel it's also for clashing with ayan ... she made sure Arjun doesn't come out of room during her clash with ayan ... I kind of expected ayan is maya next target from the moment Arjun mentioned in ambulance that he went to see ayan not saanj... if not that day maya would have eliminated ayan from Arjun life somehow by falsely framing him... but luckily it happened on same day for maya... she saw from ambulance that ayan is following them so she knows that he will come to take Arjun... so she tied Arjun to the bed like that... it was so sad to watch Arjun in Friday's episode... and I dnt believe ayan would have bitten her on neck it must have been done by maya herself to make Arjun believe that ayan tried to attempt rape ... ayan tore her clothes while trying to get keys but Arjun samay police must haven beileved that he tried to rape so he tore clothes but that's not the case... Friday's episode is not complete one I feel... let's see how saanj lawyer takes up this case

Yes, I agree. But if you want take Maya out and put a man instead, would the words still be sexual? Degreatory to a woman? I am not sure. It's still has the same effect... I just want to inflict the and pain, anger, furtstration he feels for being separated from his brother. Again, I do agree that Ayan is immature and nothing justifies him fighting a woman. But it's something Maya used to her advantage.

Maybe you can clarify/ elaborate more on what's disadvantageous to Maya here? I think ALL her actions awill be disadvantageous to her in the long run. Here, it's about Maya simply gaining a foothold on Arjun that she lost due to family reconciliation, and his pushback day her "love". By ensuring to lock up Ayan for attempted rape, and ensuring Arjun heard snippets of her 'struggle' he wouldn't really go against her for now.

Also, from a story standpoint, this situation it's a game changer. Saanjh played her move by reuniting. The family, now its Maya's turn. Samay (literal and figurative) will tell how it will progress. Will he help Maya and let her keep Arjun of will he help Saanjh and go after Maya?

I have never said Ayaan was planning go through with what he'd told Maya. Rape wasn't even in his mind when he was threatening Maya to procure the keys. But he was issuing empty threats like "I know how to deal with women of your kind", "Mein saari hadhein paar karunga" etc to intimidate her. Any bystander or Maya herself would mistake it for an attempt to sexually assault her. . If Ayaan had unambiguously issued threats, like "Arjun's more important to you than your own life, I'm taking him away from your clutches today come what may", then it would have looked like a normal tussle between two people instead of the "maut se bhi badkar sazaa" line.

Reasons why it's disadvantageous to Maya: Ayaan's testimony will not be brushed aside in favor of Maya's accusations. Ayaan has seen Arjun confined to a room through the keyhole. He will tell the judge he was only going for the keys and didn't have any intentions to rape her. Arjun, if he has any brains left, could align with Ayaan's testimony than getting swayed away by Maya's guilt-tripping. This plan isn't foolproof enough and can totally backfire on her.
