Well just as you said why can't a grey character be loved can I ask you why can'ta villian be the hero??
Yes this is her story and completely her story, any story is that of the hero and the villian, but this story is completely hers because she herself is the villian in her own life
You are saying about now when Arjun is being tortured, but what about 3 years back, when Arjun had left his mother and brother because they insulted her, at that time Arjun behaved as any good husband should behave, but didn't she even at that time ask him to eat the food she wanted him to eat, wear the clothes she wanted him to wear, to not drink,
Saanjh calling Arjun at midnight was definitely disgusting (especially when they were not banned from meeting each other), but why did Arjun go to meet her? Was it because he wanted to meet Saanjh? Definitely not, it was because he wanted to drink, probably had Maya let him drink at house, he wouldn't have gone, Saanjh might be his friend, but is definitely not so important to him that he would leave his wife waiting for her
As i also told in another thread, Saanjh is negative, and too much negative, but she is neither important to the story nor is capable enough harm the powerful Maya, Maya can easily remove her or Arjun's family from her equation. None of them are either powerful enough or important enough to be called a villian, which is both powerful n important to the storyline
The main villian in the story of loving Maya is the Obbsessive Maya which wants to control in love (while the Hero Maya wants to dedicate in love), this obbsessive Maya is suffocating Arjun resulting in their relationship getting drifted
Hero Maya has to fight this villian Maya, rest everyone is not capable of hampering Maya or the Arya relation
