Don't u know she's selfless pure soul who's sacrificing Devi of this show. And she is also protagonist of this show but don't get even a side space in Montage and she don't even be seen in promos either. 😆

I also do not think of her mentally ill. She is like any other tv vamp - dresses better than other characters, is better actress than most, has the perfect background music, gives weirdest/evil expressions while giving hugs, etc.

What has qualified her to be a candidate for mental illness?

I like the show BECAUSE it is the story from the "other" side and not from Miss Goody-two-shoes, ever-ready-to-sacrifice all perspective.

Vamp may be the wrong term because she is the lead as it is her story and how everyone fits in it. All I meant by vamp is that in other shows vamps have similar behavior but they are not categorized at mentally ill.

On Indian television all I see male leads who are not less than vamps, keep twisting arms of Female, break bangles, bang her with walls etc. Maya is like breathe of fresh air. Why only men have right to act like jerk?

A person who try to kill themselves at the drop of a hat, injures themselves by breaking vase on head etc to prove a point, extremely obsessed to the extent of keeping camera in bathrooms, is highly manipulative, uncontrollable anger to the extent of commiting murder ( some murders not proved but she tried to run car over vandana saanjh), injuring & threatening loved ones like jhanvi etc etc. are not normal.
