Finally an interesting episode that gave an insight into the life and psych of the trio Arjun-Maya-Jhanvi and a glimpse of what the future holds for them. What I found interesting:
1. Samay definitely has a role to play in the ArYa equation. Not sure if he knows Maya from before but he's definitely not here merely as Saanjh's bf. The importance given to his reaction to Maya's dance says that there is some connection there. I'm interested to see what role he plays in all of this. Also was Samay drinking today? Din't he say he was a teetotaler?đ
2. Maya telling Arjun "Kya nautanki karne ka haq sirf tumhara hai". So what is she referring to here? His Holi dance with Saanjh, his behavior during their anniversary and the press conference or did he do something else that we don't know yet?
3. I really liked the Arjun - Jhanvi scene today. For once we got an insight into what Arjun and Jhanvi are going through in that house. They are both trapped in this controlling, toxic relationship with Maya and neither of them can leave easily because they both know that Maya will destroy herself if that happens, and neither of them hate Maya enough to want her to die. Jhanvi will definitly be on team Arjun when she starts talking again but the question is will she totally abandon Maya or will she take the responsibility of trying to heal Maya?
Also, does anyone else feel like Jhanvi might be the one who will probably kill Maya in the end? Maya may realise how much she has made Arjun and Jhanvi suffer and will want to stop but will not be able to because of her compulsion and illness and will beg Jhanvi to kill her so that she can stop?? Just a thought that came up in my mind when Maya told Jhanvi the other day that "If my daughter was like this then... and then just leaves that hanging. I almost felt like that was a silent plea by Maya to her mother to help her. Or maybe I am reading too much into it.
4. Arjun's dialogue to Jahnvi about God giving them to opportunity to make mistakes but not giving a chance to correct them. What exactly was he referring to here? The mistake both he and Jhanvi made vis-a-vis Maya i.e the role they both played in triggering Maya's psycotic side and not getting an opportunity to correct that as Maya's gone too deep in her obsession to be easily pulled back now?? Or is he referring to the mistake they both made of trusting Maya over others and standing up for her??
5. The Arjun-Maya face-off was really good. Maya is so out of it, so delusional it's not even funny. She just doesn't seem to understand where she is wrong. Also, today I felt Maya is truly living in her own world and her delusion is not an act to garner sympathy from Jhanvi.
Ar jun seems to know that she was responsible for separating him from everyone. Also, his main issue is that she is suffocated him in her "love". Don't think she has done anything else to him yet.
I still don't understand why he has not tried to leave in 3 years though, he did say today that he had finally mustered the courage to leave. Why did he not have the courage for 3 years?
6. The way Maya said that Saanjh was the person who had killed her baby, made me think she din't fake her pregnancy that time. At least her anger did look genuine to me.
7. The more I see the episodes the less I feel the CVs are planning to explain Maya's condition as a mental illness that can be cured. They seem to be moving towards just passing it off as obsession. That's a bummer... If there was a genuine mental illness I think it's high time they start hinting towards what that could be. Right now it looks like they are content terming it as just plain, simple Obsession driven psychotic behavior. If that is the case then the only end in sight is either Maya getting over the obsession some how or Maya dying. So then what the heck is "Maya's Sach"??
It'll be interesting to see what turn the story takes now.
