Yes that's the biggest faux pas of the show.

The second biggest is Maya never having a BF!

She's educated, successful , pretty and most importantly LOADED. Men should fall for her left, right and center at least before knowing her true self ( which is not at all pleasant) . But she's never had a BF! Very unrealistic. Or may be the show is following standard TV rule where the FL has to be a virgin princess and having an ex would be blasphameous.

@ TM - I feel for you. Your simple thread has been turned into a petty warfield. Some fans here are too insecure & put down others due to sheer inferiority complex. There I said it, loud and clear 😆

@bold- Don't find it unrealistic because it doesn't depend on how beautiful or successful u r. It depends whether u want a bf. Maya was never ready for relationships, forget boyfriend she dint even have friends... If She had few friends it would really help her. No social life nothing.

That's also a problem of the characterization. You see Maya is not bat shit crazy. I am asssuming she's gone to college. She's running a multi million dollar company. She travels all around the world. So her not wanting friends or BFs is bit of an inconsistency for me. Psychopaths are usually extremely charming and highly intelligent. They would come across as so amicable that one would not even think of them being even slighly abnormal. Like Amy was.
Here Maya's behavior is so self explanatory that one would take a look and understand something is wrong.

@Fawad I thought of replying in this thread and then saw it has turned to a warzone. Now saw some sensible replies. Hence putting my take.

For Saanjh Arjun is the perfect guy. She is living in a lala land where she had fixed Arjun as her prince. A man who needs her to do everything. A man who cannot take one step without her. Basically Saanjh's idea of an ideal man is not someone who can take care of himself but needs her to take care of him. Arjun is that child man. But then such men are not the husband material. You need certain level of maturity to handle that role. He has to have certain independent thinking mind and can take care of himself even in the absence of better half. He should not be tied to mother's apron or Biwi's pallu. But Saanjh is not thinking about such a man as husband. He prefers the child man as she love to take decisions for him. She wants to be the centre of his universe

Maya it is the perception. She believes Arjun can give her physical security from a traumatic past. This funda stems from when he protects her once from Ashwin. She goes behind that perception and has become delusional. Arjun cannot protect her. She too wants herself to be the centre of his universe. So she keeps all the gadgets. As she feels she has no existence if he is not there.

Truth is that Arjun should be pushed to centre. Instead of trying to become the centre of Arjun's life, if the women can push Arjun to centre and play the role of friend or wife, Arjun will be forced to own up actions.

The ladies trying to be the centre of man's universe is making a man not taking any accountability for his actions. Allow the man to be the centre.

It is like Sun and Earth. Sun is the centre, Earth rotates around it. Earth cannot be the centre. If Earth tries to move to centre solar system collapses because sun cannot move 😆 and when you are in centre, you can move only based on the other person's movement, not independent.

In a society dictated by men this is what is happening. A woman is put in the centre calling her Maa, Devi what not. But then she can only move with him. He wont move and wont allow the lady to move, holding the chains. Push him to centre and then come out. He will have to move with you according to time. 😆

Maya not having BFs. Maya is shown very aloof. People are generally afraid of her. She doesnt form any relations. So it is not surprising she doesnt have BF. Because the first impression of Maya itself is aloofness. She used to rarely smile.

Maya is different from the usual psychopaths. Not all the psychopaths going to display the same attitude but Maya is very intelligent.The only flaw I would feel maya suicidal tendencies. She runs a huge company. How does she successfully run the company? But it's being said the most successful people in the world are the ones who are dependent on depression pills especially in America if depression pills are stopped then it will create havoc.

With Bigg Boss off air rn, This forum gives me my daily dose of jhagda wala entertainment. Keep it up, folks! Merko mazza aa raha hai. Times Now mein aajkal bohot realistic cheezo pe fight hoti hai. Accha hai. But fictional fights and fanwars ka toh mazza hi alag hai. Anyway, Nach Baliye is coming up. Toh fanwars waha bhi higa. Pointless reality show fanwars. Entertainment ka stock acchha hai. Niiice.

Anyway back to Q- even I find it strange that Maya doesnt have a bf. As in bf chodo, atleast a guy who loves her. Lets get real folks. Itne hot bandi pe toh obvio many guys would be crushing on her. Whether she liked them or not , some or the other guy myst have had a crush on her.

But why she likes Arjun is mostly because he saved her from ashwin. So yeah. And Saanjh ka is the typical Anjali/Ayan type ka crush. Bestie ko patao aandholan.

The bad/good apple theory applies to ALL fandoms, so I don't even understand why you hold that against only JW fans. I'd have probably agreed to your accusations had they been accurate but they aren't! Honestly you mentioned QH first, not me😆 Anyone with half a brain knows the kind of butthurt rants that your fandom used to indulge in so again, stop taking the moral high ground and look down on us giving character certification of JW fandom as if your fandom is a spotless and sensible one.
