MAYA - The illusion
The thing is maya had built herself strongly a wall, an illusion before arjun entered her life, a wall that never to be broken & she built it with so many layers. The reality she thinks is what she accepted with all her might always.
She accepted her fate & wanted it that way only. Her mother & herself were her family. And she made herself believe that's going to be forever.
But God had diff plans for that 9y child in her..
And suddenly like everything u can't control arjun came along.
He was attracted to her beauty, money, her classy style, her aura, her authority, her status... if u know he said about how he admires maya to saanjh in one of the episodes.
He was always a dreamer and his dreams were to make big, to be rich, to get to the place where he has everything and command on everyone.
Maya the lady he had admired in that process because she was all he had wanted to be.
She had made big and was perfect according to him.
His admiration for her became his way to get to his long time obsessed desire which he always had & wanted.And then this felt the short cut for him. Maya is the short cut he wanted to take to reach his dream.
He instead of taking the road not taken in such situations took the road which was short & took very very careful steps.
Layer by layer he broke that walls around maya's heart, got her trust & started playing along.
He got to know her fear for colours ,her fear of darkness, her insecurities, her father who's a torture in life, her mom who's her only family, her obsessed & strict nature.
He got to know the real maya in a facade maya built herself like a bossy strong woman who is not known to this world.
He got to know the illusion/maya that created by maya for herself to this world.
And got to know there's a vulnerable child, innocent lover beneath her.
Arjun made a path into maya's life knowing abt all her vulnerabilities.
And earned her trust by passing her all tests. He even didn't care anyone come btwn them before marriage. His bff nor his family.
Like an obsessed person he wanted his marriage to happen at any cost even if it means to go against his family & he went berserk when ashwin came btwn their marriage and maya went away and locked herself.
He wanted that marriage to happen in all means. He even shut his mom who was against the marriage.
He told even if they won't come his marriage is going to happen.
But then the promises maya took, she was insecure child so she wanted promise.
She wanted to prove him for coming herself out of her insecurities & reassurance for herself
After all that he promised he never meant though unlike him maya was too much loyal & totally in love with him.
And believed all his promises in extreme like she does always.
Her love was always same except now a person arjun added in her list after her mom.
If she holds someone's hand she holds it till the end of the world. But arjun didn't mean any of those promises & in bachelor party when in drunk his intentions were clear.
Maya now that she believed herself after a lot of time that someone can give her love and started loving.
But now her lover changed, & she is unable to believe that.
Bcoz the girl had known only extremes, she loves with all her might or she hates with all her might.
For maya nothing is in between. This's the result of the experience she had in childhood.
She never wanted anyone but if she wants anyone she will go to extremes for them.
Then the first part of her marriage she tried her best to get accustomed to arjun's family & his life.
She tried really hard & with all her might, you know this too in extremes she tried.
But then people were so cruel to her.
She took even all that which came to her way.
But vandana isn't the one to budge she was always against maya, her perception about maya never changed.
Saanjh even helped her understand but still the self obsessed righteous woman was stubborn.
And then it went out of limits then it broke maya's patience. Vandana was inhumane totally.
She thought enough is enough & showed vandana "what can maya do" .
Everything happened in favour of maya but arjun intentions played in all this if u see. Not alone maya it is.
His intentions were not to mend ways but to get out of this middle class life.
Because if he wanted to be together he would have made something else & tried harder but there's no intention of him to try more harder for him.
His care or love wasnt enough towards vandana & his family or he had anything for them and that's why he didn't care to be in that house.
But after moving to the maya's house he always dreamt of he forgot, he forgot happily everything and enjoyed maya's luxurious life which even shocked maya listening to his words how he likes this & how it was horrible to live in that 2rooms house.
But she thought that was going to do only good for them because he is happy and whatever makes him happy makes maya happy. But if u see jhanvi eyes were saying something though when maya was speaking abt arjun how he's happy & accustomed to their life.
But jhanvi can't speak up..
Maya gave everything she had, but arjun misused, started cheating on her with his bff.
Like never before she felt that insecurities peeping in her because the only person she has would be taken away if anything goes wrong.
Saanjh started interfering in their life , she didn't listen even her mom's words about how it's not okay to be a 3rd wheel in a couple life.
But saanjh never cared about her family intentions as always she was deaf and then maya's beautiful dream started shaking for her.
Because from start she had known that whomever she befriends or goes near would be taken away in no time.
So her insecurities were building.
She didn't wanted the history to repeat, her carefully built dream was in danger for her.
She confessed her fear before her friend ganesha how she never wanted their friendship to break but now it had become a threat.
How she is afraid of it.
And we know what happened saanjh was gone.
(And generally no wife can tolerate a bff like saanjh with her husband.)
After 3yrs-
Now that she believed after a long time & broke all her walls to a person its really gonna take her a long time to build that layers/walls again.
The time she had taken to come out of her layers, is same going to happen to build her walls again. It's really stressful.
She doesn't want to believe this reality which is in front of her eyes.
She is in illusion(maya) and satisfying herself that this is not true for herself to her mind.
Arjun is not in love with her is her reality but she made herself blind to that reality and believes strongly her illusion. And her belief is in extreme again that it clouded her reality which her subconscious is trying to tell as much as possible.
It can't be possible for her to come back to reality so easily bcoz she with so many efforts after a very long time came out & loved some one & gave her everything.
But now the reality is too much to take for her. She doesn't want to see that even bcoz though her subconscious knows it's impossible to take.
Maya always was a strong lady.
She wants herself to be that way only, if she accepts reality she knows she becomes weak & vulnerable. And she doesn't want that to happen.
In this process she is taking physical pain, abuses whatever is coming her way from her beloved and believing her illusion and made herself blind to reality extremely that she is now at the position of obsessed with her illusion more than her reality.
But this time her illusion she can't believe and be in it forever like she was before as this is connected with another person.
Her illusion before was with herself but now this time a person arjun is involved in it .
But if maya comes out of that illusion & believes her reality then arjun is gonna be in deep trouble.
She won't give just a physical pain but a kind of pain which no one can understand or tell out but only suffer in it.
That's maya's style.
I want her to come out of that reality & give back in her style to arjun & entire clan that came in her life & made it worse than before.
I want arjun to suffer & understand because he was the one who was selfish and greedy.he is not any innocent. And he was the one started
And saanjh and vandana should learn & understand where this all started and how maya & arjun are effected because of them too.
How saanjh & VM own perceptions on maya they had and how they made a couple relationship more worse they need to understand.
Suman tried to talk sense to vandana but still vandana was deaf and believed the perception she has always for maya.
