Arjun is dominant whereas in the other relationship, Maya is dominant and she keeps him on the path she has chosen for him...The fickle minded Arjun who will naturally abhor discipline, control will abhor Maya's ways and to him Sanjh will represent Las Vegas but as has been proved Las Vegas has made many a wealthy into paupers... bottom line... Vandana's prayer's redemption lies in Maya's hands not Sanjh's...
Well written post. Vandana wanted a girl who could guide Arjun to the right path as she knows that he is very much fickle minded. According to her, it is Saanjh. Vandana and Suman had gone to the pundit to match Saanjh & Arjun compatibility. However, the pundit said, they don't match as their wavelengths are different. Vandana still wanted to keep that alliance till Arjun declared his love for Maya, The same pundit said that Maya and Arjun are perfect for each other. It has been Maya who has been guiding Arjun to the right track as you said. The pundit also said a lot of good things like all 36 guns match each other. They will be happily married. All the things were positive except one negative thing. He said Maya's love is the drawback. Her unlimited love can take Arjun to the top or pull him down. Even this was not completely negative. It was neutral. This has got something to do with Arjun as to how he takes it. So both the man and the wife has to make their marriage work.
Vandana's prayers were answered in the form of Maya and even pundit said more positives but she does not regard it. When her prayers were answered, it has become domination in her language. She looked at that part in a negative way. Ashwin is a tormentor but Vandana chose to believe him. If she was sensible enough, she could have talked to Jhanvi about it so she would get to know the other side of the coin but no, she chose to stop the wedding and when she failed to do that, she refused to acknowledge Maya's genuine change for good.
Arjun promised Maya that he won't drink. This is purely for his well-being. But Saanjh supporters cannot digest it and may say that she has got an ulterior motive which is bullshit.😡
A wife would be interested in her husband's well-being whether good or bad. Maya has always been interested in his well-being. She cannot bear to see a single scratch anywhere on his body or see him landing in a soup. She also went to the extent of taking the blame on her head in Ashwin's murder.
Vandana prayed that all Arjun's problems should get burnt which was answered when Saanjh's veil was burnt. Maya saved her from getting burnt thereby burning her finger in the process of saving her. So it is Saanjh who is the problem. Not Maya.
