While the show is focusing on three main suspects for Ashwin's murder case - Arjun, Maya & Jhanvi, everyone is almost certain that none of these three will actually turn out to be the murderers. If a fourth person is to be revealed as the killer I hope it isn't an irrelevant character who takes shape as the villain, I'd like it to be unexpected but also a frequent character we have seen often.
I wonder, can't Vandana turn out to be the killer?
Proof: She was the last person who was with Ashwin before his death, at least of what we know.
She has, in the past, worked as a professional caretaker, giving her enough knowledge about instruments such as syringes, needles and basic anatomy.
Motive: She has always hated Maya, from the very beginning, if Ashwin was murdered, Maya would definitely be a major suspect (which she is) and if Maya was involved in a murder case, it would be easier for Vandana to persuade Arjun from staying away from Maya. [Little did Vandana know that her own son, too, would be a prime suspect.]
Extra: Vandana was missing for a very long time on the wedding day, did it really take her that long to reach the place? Upon reaching, too, Vandana took Arjun aside and tried to change his mind again, putting up an argument, probably wanting to prolong the wedding, giving Ashwin enough time to come and put up a scene.
I had never considered Vandana to be the killer, but now she's been added to my suspects list. If this is true though, it would have to be someone else who killed the Mauritius pandit (if he was murdered at all) which would then lead to two murderers being showcased in one program which I think is unlikely.
