But in the case of saanjh she still believes maya got arjun with wrong methods. And she doesn't love him.
She still believes arjun should be hers. And she thinks she is gonna show arjun real maya 'as she believes' there's another side of maya & she is going to get her arjun back. Now she will go after maya for clues to prove her wrong infront of arjun & vandana & Suman will only be supporting her.
But her delusions are wrong. She comes to conclusion too early. She needs to accept things. The right things will fall into right place then.
Arjun will one day definitely comes to know abt maya secret even though if saanjh doesnt even quest abt maya life.
Not many days it will be hidden. And it will depend on arjun what he will choose to do. But that doesn't mean he loves saanjh next min.

@bold

At this point, I wouldn't be surprised if the writers do just this. 😳

I agree with the points you made.. If I am not wrong, Saanjh was shown aware of the fact that Arjun is not romantically inclined towards her and loves her only as his friends. Its her parents and Vandana who have been misleading her ..she kinda assumed that because Arjun has no other ''girl'' in his life he will eventually end up with her.. that was my feeling.. Its only when Maya entered the picture I felt she got insecure and raised her own expectations.. I don't think writers tend to portray Saanjh as a ''miss goody two shoes'' character.. she's not.. her underhand threat to Maya yesterday goes to show that she is as much willing to get her hands dirty to get what she wants.. not giving a damn about what Arjun wants.. Does she know Maya's past? why she is the way she is? No.. but her assumption that Maya is ''bad'' , Maya is ''evil'' kinda helps her justify her own actions to keep Maya away from Arjun.. I won't be surprised if she joins hands with Ashwin to ''expose'' Maya infront of Arjun.. Just like the other day when Arjun was beating up Ashwin, she somehow became so sympathetic towards Ashwin.. did she try to find out who Ashwin really was.. how he has physically abused Maya and her mother.. does she care to find all that out? No.. because it won't suit her story where Maya is the villain..

P.S- I think its a blooper by the writers to let Saanjh assume that Arjun had left all those notes and signs for her in Mauritius.. didnt she ask her parents not to inform Arjun.. then how the hell would he know she was there and then plan all that.. ? 😕 another thing, just because Maya's ear ring was near the temple she becomes the murderer? How did Saanjh know Maya was upset with the pandit to the point where she would want to kill him? she wasnt even there when the pandit made all those predictions.. so what could be the motive of the murder according to saanjh?

precisely why I find her intriguing these days. Initially I thought sanjh will be the goody two shoes sacrificial lamb, typical hindi serial heroine but she is displaying different shades these days. she is not as bad maya in the sense that, she will not cross any limits but even then I don't think she is bechara abla nari as some people originally thought.

as for the proposal, even I thought she was foolish but given how delusional and presumptous she is, it is possible I guess. A mistake by the hotel clerk and arjun's unclear phone call were enough to for her to make an assumption. perhaps because she thought there is no one else in arjun's life other than her.

See, again. Assumptions. They all assumed that Arjun meant it in a romantic way and nobody tried to find out what he truly meant. Sure he says he can't live without her but I can't live without my best friend either. If they are so close knit, they should be comfortable in asking Arjun what he wants. At times it was just about what Saanjh wants and not what Arjun wants. Does that make sense? And coming to Maya, they don't know her well at all. Even if you have doubts about someone, you'd try to find out more about them and get to know them. Who knows, you might just be wrong.

I get you. Most of things in this show are actually assumption based. Arjun toh khud apne aap mein ek assumption hi hai. 😆 The reason I offered to answer your queries was because I too was troubled by these questions. I obviously had to get to the root cause of it all and this theory (even though still as good as an assumption again) settled well with me. And tada! No longer get bothered by it. 😆

Can I just say that I love your posts? They're so well thought out. I always make a note to read them before I knock off to sleep because those type of post are fun to read as it's pure analysis. Sorry. Had to get that out there, lol. But the thing is, even we don't know what went down with the priest. It might be a red herring and it could be a coincidence so I'm letting that slide.

Thank you! 😳 I'm glad my posts don't give you a headache. 😆 Exactly, I'd rather watch it play out at least a little before I put up a theory.

I hope so. The writers really should've put more thought into all these characters prior to launching the show.

Thing is, I don't watch this show with a rational point of view. I watch it more with a humane point of view and that makes it easier for me both understand and enjoy the show. Given the record of Hindi tv shows, I'd still say Beyhadh's been doing better than I expected it to. More so, being a sony tv show. This channel has a record of launching potentially great shows and then ruining them beyond recognition. We're still...safe. 😆

You're one of the few, haha. I've had people in the past that have called me Saanjh haters and I'm like "I am critical of any and all characters thanks to my profession".

You have to look around the main forum. Half the time folks here are tearing each others throats for nothing and the rest of time, they're all basically saying the same stuff but discussion still goes on running in circles. 🤣

Are you a lawyer by any chance? Sorry if that's a personal question. You need not answer it if you wouldn't like to. 😳

Now, moving on.

Ever since the show began, we've seen Saanjh's unrequited love for Arjun. She's grown up as his best friend and along the way she fell in love with him. Various times she's tried to tell him of her feelings but has failed and now that Arjun has found his own love, Saanjh is going through a heartbreak.

With the way the writers have shown us Saanjh's character, I feel that she's brought this heartbreak on herself. Now I can already sense you're going "What the hell are you talking about?" but hear me out. The reason why I feel this way is because Saanjh's decisions have been all based on assumptions.

The first assumption is that Arjun reciprocates her feelings. This is mostly due to both Arjun's family and her own mother and brother egging her on and making her assume that Arjun loves her too. The next assumption comes when Arjun runs off to help Maya when Jhanvi collapses. She assumes that Arjun is running away and disrespecting her family. Although she understands afterwards, her anger is based all on an assumption.

More assumptions are made when Arjun patches up with his mother and again, Vandana and Ayaan tell her it's because of her only. Following which she once again gets heartbroken at seeing Maya taking Vandana's blessings and being the root cause behind Arjun rushing back to his mother.

The one assumption that had me going "Really writers? Really?" was recently when Saanjh makes her trip to Mauritius. She comes to the hotel and follows the clues Arjun "left for her". She assumes the notes are for her and that he is going to propose to her. Now hold up here. Arjun has no clue she's in Mauritius or that she is going to come there then why would he put together this surprise for her?

There are so many assumptions that are made on her part that does not make me feel bad for her one bit but rather she brought it on herself. This is where I'm calling out the writers again because they're just making this character crumble. The only thing that made me feel slightly bad was the actress. Her acting prowess genuinely touched my heart and her sorrow she portrayed made me sympathize with her. But then once again, that was soon wiped away when the mandir scene happened.

Yes, she found Maya's earring. No, that doesn't mean that Maya is a murderer. Could she be? Sure (if this is the case then the writers are losing their wit). Is she? We don't know. Neither does Saanjh. All these assumptions that are being made from her aggravates me because they have this character who is being portrayed by such a talented actress and all they're doing is making her less and less bearable with the way they're writing her.

I sincerely hope the writers can pick up their game with Saanjh. She can still redeem herself. No that doesn't mean she needs to turn negative (I'm looking at you, writers). Show us Saanjh. Not bebas and laachaar Saanjh, who is always crying or looks upset. Come on, get your characters developed well. Maya's not the only character on that show.

That being said, once again, I'd like to remind everyone to keep things civil and please for the love of God don't pick fights with each other or me just because you think this is a Anti-Saanjh post (it's not).

Saanjh, in my opinion has no right to blame anyone for her heartbreak. She is the only one responsible for what she is going through.
As you say, her love is solely built on assumptions. Most of the time, her assumptions are stupid, foolish and even fake consolidation and reassurance to herself. This is not something I'd usually object to. I'd probably justify her actions saying she's been blinded by love, but really? Saanjh is a lawyer. She should know better than to build a dreamland on false hope and expect it to come true.

Still waiting for her character to develop and rise above the petty self she is now

bang on post
i feel cvs are ruining saanjh character, its come to a point where saanjh is assuming things like maya a murder ?
i think she will do as much as it takes to find negative things about maya so she can show arjun that maya is not good for him

and also we did not see maya questioning saanjh as to why she came all the way to Mauritius??

Initially I found Maya's character to be pretty consistent but in the recent episodes I've realized the writers are changing her character as the show is progressing. We've known that Maya's not feeling love but rather limerence but these recent changes that are appearing are telling me that Maya's character is being reconsidered by the writers which is very disappointing.

It is true that Saanjh has been consistent with her delusions but what is bothering me is how she's being aligned with the typical Mary Sue. She's loved by everyone, is very persuasive, tries to solve all problems, and feels unrequited love with constant tears. I've had this complaint with the writers since the beginning because while they seem to know what the tone of the story should be, they haven't focused on the characters enough. This goes for all characters and not just Saanjh.

Exactly. I've been saying what Maya harbors for Arjun isn't love but limerence which isn't a healthy sign at all. But that does seem to be the only way Maya knows to express her feelings. All she needs is cognitive behavioral therapy but unfortunately neither her parents nor Arjun are capable of being her support systems in her path to discovering herself.

Saanjh on the other hand is a very straight forward character with minor character flaws (which make her human and hence the verisimilitude is preserved) but she's supposed to be an anti-thesis to Maya and the writer have got the pulse of her character bang on imo.

This writing of this show has always been iffy from the beginning; if not for JW, I'd not even be watching this hodgepodge in all honesty.
