They love story just started and they can risk to show Maya's character going to extremes this early in the show 😉

I believe creatives are putting us in a false illusion that she had killed him

Maya smirk can be for saanjh also.. Taunting her that arjun is hers now.. Its doesnt have to be exactly that maya is smirking after arjun saying that pandit is killed.. In the precap it was shown that way to add suspense
