I echo your thoughts. I also feel that Rudra sealed his and Maaya's fate when he told us the fish and fishy story. Even i don't see a happy and sab-theek-hai ending for them unless the writers intelligently surprise us. And yes, while they both are alive, they both deserve to know that they did love each-other, and in an alternate reality, a happy ending could have been possible for them.

I hope this is not their destiny... would want them to be that fish who tries it's best till its last breath to set itself free from the net..

Would want that love for them..

But if the aired precap is for real she is doomed.

2 wrongs can never make a right.

She has killed not only Rishi but also any hope that leads to Rudra..

I want to hope the same, but if Maaya kills Rishi , then, it kind of seals RM fate. Rudra may love Maaya against his wish and will , but would he be able to live with the killer of his brother? Will Maaya's inner Maaya allow her to picture something happy with Rudra, knowing her hands are bathed in blood?

I hope Rishi survives, or else RM are truly doomed.

Such a beautiful analysis 👏

Maya's only salvation is her revenge untill she get it she can't live peace. In this path of revenge she is destroying herself too. Like once she said "Aag ka tho Kam hi hota hai sabkuch jalake rakh hojana" She wants to destroy everything even if it causes her own death she will not back out. She doesn't think she deserves the light in her life ,more like she lost the hope that anything good can happen in her life . In her opinion she is gone so far from where their is no turning back though as an Audience I hope she gets her happiness at the end of day .

Rudra is like a forbidden love for her. She knows it will create lots of problem in her path , goal but she can not able to control her flowing feelings the urges to taste the forbidden love.

Both r broken souls & they match with each other in their pain , feeling of lost , darkness , that attracting them more towards each other.

" The only way to mend a broken heart with the pieces of another one"

It's apt for them .

I want to see how their story develop in future🤓 Though I will not mind if Mayra end up happily together after going through so much but as a tragic stories lover I will love to see some tragic ending. It will give their love story better significance and depth 💖

Thank you and you have said it all so simply. 🤗....I agree. Maaya has resigned herself to a deathly fate and i think she somehow knows/believes that she will die at the end of it all. Issliye roshni ki ummeed bhi nahin rakhna chaahti. But Rudra has shown up as that one chance at love , but her life and agendas are so complicated that Rudra just cannot fit in there. Rudra , to be honest, is her last hope but Maaya has tied her own hands.

And you said it correctly. Rudra and Maaya are star-crossed , and frankly, even by story writing POV, they can only have a tragic ending. Yes, they are/will be in love, but this very love will consume them with myriad of other emotions. Maya is dark and damaged. Rudra is intense, volatile and injured. Result? COMBUSTION.

Ishq pe zor nahi chal raha hai .. hai na? Both Maya and Rudra, think they can not afford to have each other or they dont deserve to have each other because of how broken they are from within.. but its that very state of theirs, the hurt and pain they have gone through that makes me wanna see them together so bad.. these beautiful people with good hearts, not to miss the electrifying chemistry they have hahahaha, they both deserve a second chance in life... Is it humanly possible for Maya, to keep her mask, or as you said her ''kill bill costume'' on when she is so clearly falling for Rudra? the fact that she knows that Rudra is not responsible, even indirectly for her misery, is also gonna make her think twice before hurting him, especially when she has started to develop a soft corner for him.. Wouldn't it be so much easier for her, given that she knows Rudra hates his father, to just tell him how his father murdered her unborn child in her womb.. and whatever backstory is linked to it.. Rudra will shake heaven and earth for her, to help her get justice.. but easy is what love stories cant be I guess.. I have seen movies, cant pin point which ones, where hero is set out to take revenge from villain and then falls in love with the daughter of the villain and all his revenge game goes kaput.. here I want justice for Maya.. I want MJ to get punished but I also want Rudra Maya to have a happy ending.. Like Rudra said in one of the episodes.. happy endings acchi lagti hai.. :)

Thank you MD and i love your writing pieces too! ❤️

True! Both Rudra and Maaya deserve a second chance, but that holds true only till either of them doesn't go over the edge. And it seems Maaya has done exactly that - gone over the edge , by killing Rishi. Yes, Rudra and Maaya will happen , but in a very twisted, convoluted and insane manner. Maaya is darkness, Rudra is a combination of light and dark. Rudra can love but doesn't want to love. Maaya wants to love Rudra but she knows she can't. And yet, for these two, their hearts and their connection is always going to stand in the way of their future animosity.

I would love a happy ending too, but kya karein? Ishq hai woh aatish, Ghalib. 🤔

I have only recently started watching Beyhad2. Binge watched it 2 weekends ago. Your analysis of Maya-Rudra, the scene on 10th Jan is spot on...Even I was wondering what the director was trying to show.. Every step Maya took leading to the the doorway, her expressions varied and the culmination was when she opened the door and didn't allow Rudra to ask the pertinent question.. Anyone with revenge in their heart, cold blooded will plan and executive but the emotions are acted out only when the relevant characters are there to watch... In this scene, Maya was fighting herself internally and on the other side of the door Rudra was fighting with himself too.. 2 sides of the coin, but's the same coin..

As you say.. .layers and layers... Thank you for a well written analysis.

Maya's inner turmoil is only going to get worse because she has already emotionally bonded with Rudra and its only going to get deeper. Maybe the day will come when she will kill Rudra, only to realize that if he dies, she dies. You don't get away with challenging the universe. You just cannot.

I haven't watched the latest episode yet.. i wonder what happens with the convo between Rudra and Maya in her house... I like Rudra in bright orange pullover vs. Maya's all black. The makers are dressing up Rudra well for a male lead.

Maya said Rudra would be the next one after Rishi... To your point, we don't get away challenging the universe, true; but I feel that the creators are also making Maya suffer. It's like she is out for revenge and internally she is also bleeding. It might have been better for Maya's soul if she had started afresh and let the universe take care of the dirt it had minted out... gosh, I sound like a Saadu.

Without Maya, then there is no Behyard 2...So, I'll enjoy watching and contemplating on Maya-Rudra
