Zoya's character in the show has more to do with a woman betrayed in love / second chance in love, over her belonging to a particular religion and her beliefs about her religion.

Zoya is like any other liberated modern woman of India, who has lot of faith in her religion, but has no objection over other religions or practicing their practices.

Zoya being a Muslim and Adi being a Hindu is such a great blend. I don't know why there is so much nit-picking about Zoya's behaviour in relation to her religion? She is such an adorable and righteous girl. Why should she only be defined by her religion, and not for who she is?

I just have one question for all the Muslims here
I'm Muslims from Egypt and I don't know about Muslims in India how they live or what they accept or not

My question is

Do you think that Zoya represent you?
Does Zoye represent the Muslim woman in India?

Can you accept and do what Zoya does?

Praying in church, marrying a non Muslim man, Praying to other Gods
Is that ok with you as Indian Muslim women?

I just need to understand
because I can't relate to Zoya anymore

Please just one request
Don't bash or offend anyone or any beliefs in this post

It is a simple question to help me understand the character in this show nothing more

This is a soap there need be no logic.like the snake in the Garland šŸ˜†
Dear Hend you absolutely look like a troublemaker asking provoking question ?please post questions like this in your own country

India is a unique country .so unique theres no one like us in the entire world.which was created on humanity.
Are we perfect by any means.nope.we are complicated.
We squabble but we are all Indians before our religious beliefs.
We love this soil which has given us a space to be born in.

Our great nation has for its father gandhiji who said he's a Christian a Muslim a Hindu and a Jew.
Every gathering of his had reading from Bhagavad Gita,Quran and Bible.

Hope that one quote from him answers your question about who a Indian Christian
And Indian Muslim or a Indian Hindu is.In short who an Indian is.

We are everything.
Unlike in other countries.

Try bashing an Indian
You will get trolled by A Ram,A John and A Mohammed.

Allahu Akbar
Ganapathi bapa moriya
Om nama shivaya
Ram Ram
Praise Jesus

Please find some other constructive engagements

Okay I m hindu but my best friend is muslim,I have grown up around a Muslim family(my dearest Baji) so I have seen culrure very minutely (baji doing namaz, maulana coming to teach them n i hv studied in a Christian convent school ...n in India it's quite normal to all...muslim culture ppl pray n participate in Hindu festivals..one of my acquaintance is muslim n she does all her religious beliefs does 5times namaz bt she participates in ganeshotsav, plays Dandiya n she won too best garba queen also prays on Christ mas to nearest church...so in our indian culture unity in diversity is the main thing which binds us all..n we respect each other's beliefs n culture...even in Ramzan n eid we go to their house n eat shirkurma...n yeah during roza we tend to not bring any food around them so that they don't get uncomfortable n hinder their customs ..same way when Hindus have shravan period muslim don't normally cook non-veg so that Hindus don't get affected by any way...so Zoya is a very liberal n quite like any other Indian Muslim women who respects all religion..n that's very good actually.. only few very conservative orthodox muslim family would be very strict on themselves other than that I feel every indian women are liberal..so yeah other countries might find it difficult to understand n knw about such harmony in our nation bt it is...n in shows take it as a fictional character..many shows don't fully follow whether Hindu/muslim customs thoroughly they take creative liberty..
India is one that is humanity..n in our area in Kerala ,southern india, when azaan is heard we calculate the time n only after azaan we light our lamp in our homes

Im a Muslim and I personally think its better to avoid making such topics. Its spreading divisions and spoiling the atmosphere.
Lets enjoy BP as a show and let's not bring religion into it.

I think we need to be more concerned about the characterisation than CVs offending religious sentiments.

coming to ur point if any person in real life if they choose to leave life with there own terms & conditions how they will represent whole community.

it is not at all wrong to practice any religion. so many people are going for inter religion marriages.we shuld not question neither parents upbringing nor religion.
they want to be spiritual rather than religious.
zoya is fictional. may be inspired by some real we dont know.

Thank you my dear for your understanding and answering my question

Yes I know Zoya is just a fictional character
All just I wanted to understand her and her state of mind

I don't judge her
I just want to understand her nothing more

Dear, you have to understand that a fictional character esp in indian television will never represent their religion in true way. In other show, silsila, they have shown bengali sindoor festivel in which they made husband accidently making sindoor fall on wifes maang and wife applying that sindoor to mistress infront of durga ma. In qubool hai, they made bride swap in nikhah by arranging another girl with same name forgetting the fact that in nikhah they read the brides name with fathers name also. I can give 100s of examples like this

So point is indian shows always makes fun of religion and rituals. The thing is hindu viewers got habit of it as of 20 years and now they dont give a damn to what they show in tv.. muslims are new to this.. we barely got 3-4 sgows in muslim bg in indian television and out of them only ishq subhan allah shows religion seriously..but they ruined it by going overbroad and regressive.

Coming to zoya, u have to understand that all people born in a religion follows religion seriously. And in india, every citizen hav freedom to practice their religion in the way they want as long as they are not disturbing others.
I myself seen four kinds of muslims in india..1. Extremly orthodox,.. wear parda and is too religious 2.moderate..whowear churidars and sarees but full sleeves..go to job and do religious stuffs too.. 3. Modern.. who wear moderndress and follow few religious thing.. 4. Ultra modern..they believe in all religion and do things as per their taste.. Zoya belong to that last group. She is just born in islam. But believe in all religion. She prays to allah, durga ma, jesus in same way. Its evident from her past too. She married yash who is hindu which is not allowed in her religion.
Not only zoya, entire siddique family is liberal.. have we ever seen any of them praying? Noor also love arjun. So there is no point in questioning zoya alone. Consider zoya as a human who is born in islam but believes in all religion.. that will help to understand her beyond her religion

To tell you the truth Berpannah is my first show I watch with a Muslim lead in it. after watching it I downloaded Hamsafr and watched it

So I'm really new to Indian shows that shows Muslims in India that is why I have many questions to the Muslims there to understand what is happening in the show

Thank you so much for your lovely and informative reply

Everyone is completely free to practice their religion and believe what they want
No one has the right to judge them except God

Thanks so much for your time my dear and your answers

I'm not judging her
I just try to understand her

I didn't live her life
I wasn't raised under her circumstances

That's why I asked who is like her
That is it

Nothing more

Thank you so much for your answer and your time to reply my post
