See, even in India, there are different types of Muslims. Some follow Islam strictly, while some do not. Zoya falls in the 2nd category. She does represent a Muslim Indian Woman because she is a Muslim and she is an Indian. But her views are all liberal as far as marriage and all is concerned. Hope this answers your questions? 😊
I know your intention was not bad. Also I know that you were not trying to bring up a fight. But these topics do end up making many people a little edgy. I personally experienced this just 2 days ago! 😆😆
Anyway, all said and done, I think your confusion is cleared now? 😊

Thank you my sister for your understanding

Don't worry in shaa ALLAH nothing bad will happen

Everyone if completely free to believe what they want. I agree with you so much in that. Only God who has the right to judge them in the judgment day

I have to agree with you in another point
I personally don't follow any man-made religion too

I know what you intend by your last line
Please don't even go there
You are downright, clearly insulting other religions saying them man-made
God is one forms are different and religion only divides people and I believe that one should have faith in God and work for the betterment of the society and nothing else

aren't all religions man made?? like early man didn't really belong to any religion?? there were prophets that came up at various points in time and taught the same principles with minor differences ..

anyway I meant to say that I only follow the religion of humanity :) be good - do good ..and I respect all faiths ..visit all places of worship because each is interesting in it's own way :) but I really don't believe in one supreme being as a solution to all my problems :)

Sister Hend I actually really like you
Your question is not completely invalid...but just a suggestion never ask these questions on a forum🤣
I opened a topic once because I was ignorant about it too...(indian muslim women)...thank Allah it was ignored completely🤣

Oy koi mujhe bash na karo..main sabse choti hu yaha pe...I'm just saying my opinion😆 ...mujhe chor do🤣

Now my darling Hend...I'm originally from Bangladesh...in my country if you're Muslim you can visit church, temple or whatever you like BUT I've never seen anyone praying there...no Muslim prays in church/temple or anywhere else...same goes for Christian/Hindus...

I don't know what people think in their minds because I didn't see inside their minds😆...but they normally don't do that...some people openly do that but that's often is looked down......I think that's basically your choice...u will be responsible for whatever you do...why people interfere?😡
Anyway, now I live in UK...here some Muslim women wear Hijabs and Burkhas ...and lemme tell u some of them r not good🤢...but then some people genuinely do parda...and that's okay...I've many Christian friends...where they respect our religion and every other..I've never seen anyone praying in masjeed or temple...they never pray...almost all of my teachers r christian...they don't do it either...but all of us respect each others religion...

Personally I think there's a line between respect and believe...as u r a Muslim yourself you know that we've to respect everyone's religion and I've many Hindu and Christian friends they say the same thing...soo guess for everyone that's same...

Now another thing is if u wanna do some things in addition with respecting that's just upto you...what you wanna do...

To everyone: I never knew people from this forum can behave like that...I'm not that active anymore...but I was shocked today when I came here...people were not that aggressive before...I also strongly opposed some members many times but the replies if this post were so aggressive...at least some of them...ho kya gya hay sabko...pehle kisiko kuch pasand na aata tha tab hum use avoid karte the na..😭.just avoid it now...even if there r 100 posts about it... most of you people know me...you know I'm not accusing anyone...just remember we're all like family members yaha kisiko kuch pasand na aye toh ignore maro na...kich dino bad or post na banenge🤣

Shit don't stop talking to me after this post🤣

Exactly that is what happens here in Egypt too. I visited a church before for my colleague's mother funeral but I didn't pray there. Most of them was shocked to see me there in my Neqaab but for me it was interesting experience

I don't know what people think in their minds because I didn't see inside their minds😆...but they normally don't do that...some people openly do that but that's often is looked down......I think that's basically your choice...u will be responsible for whatever you do...why people interfere?😡

Exactly my point. I have Christian friends here in Egypt and I have online friends from all over the world with very different beliefs We all respect each others and love each others. But I never prayed in church and they never prayed our prayer

Personally I think there's a line between respect and believe...as u r a Muslim yourself you know that we've to respect everyone's religion and I've many Hindu and Christian friends they say the same thing...soo guess for everyone that's same...
You are completely right. There is a line between respect and believe. I respect them all but I don't have to believe in their beliefs

Now another thing is if u wanna do some things in addition with respecting that's just upto you...what you wanna do...

Yeah I'm being a hypocrite about this I know but I don't want any religious wars in all honesty.
Probably shouldn't have stated my two cents since this topic wasn't addressed to me. Whoops anyways the damage is done 😆

You are completely wrong dear in Hinduism there is no rule that we can't pray to anyone except Hindi God because according to Hinduism The supreme power is one and people of different religion pray them with different names and I have visited church and masjid and prayed there too

^^ I'm so sorry if I offended you but I never said anything about it...my post is long read it again maybe...I just said every religion says to respect other religions...I never actually saw any Hindus in my country praying any other place apart from temple not even in UK I saw anything like that...I just gave my opinion based on what I saw...

Personally I think there's a line between respect and believe...as u r a Muslim yourself you know that we've to respect everyone's religion and I've many Hindu and Christian friends they say the same thing...soo guess for everyone that's same...

These r the lines I used...about praying I just said I never saw any Hindu OR Christian do it😕 I don't know what you're talking about...

I don't know where you are from. If I am not wrong India has the largest Muslim population for a non-Muslim country. Indian constitution described itself as "Secular". This mean we aren't governed by religious laws here. Tolerance level is much higher than other countries. Most countries with this body of Muslim population clearly describe themselves as Islamic.
In India we have all sorts of Muslims- Orthodox as well as liberal.
I don't think we are supposed to identify with a fictional character as you put it. However Zoya's attitude is very refreshing to watch. Point to be noted is that when Zoya married Aditya, she didn't change her religion or name. Had it been a Muslim guy, the scene is usually different. That says a lot I think.
I think you should get that any kind of religious or spiritual belief should unite people, not divide them. If that's not the case, it's huge pity.
