*Long Post Alert*
Today, I wanna appreciate the cvs for the balance that they strike in the story, scenes and dialogues of Bepannaah! I got to see so much going on about positivity n negativity in the forum n people blaming each other. I agree, people do have a right to dislike an episode or a track n voice their opinions about it. But I would like if all of us introspect first about what this show has given us, how it has stood out among the others, what amount of efforts the writers have taken to bring this story this far and then complain about it. It is difficult to keep the audience glued to a daily soap. Many writers don't care whether the audience will like the track or not. Others, while caring about the audience, forget logic n miss the continuity in the story. But keeping a balance of everything is not a cup of tea of every other writer, our writers have managed that to a great extent and hats off to them for that!👏
STORY
The story itself has been a mixture of drama, suspense, mystery, romance, comedy and many other genres and they have struck a good balance of all of these...every genre in a right proportion. The basic plot of the story was 2 couples AdiJa and ZoSh. They chose 2 completely different couples. ZoSh's was a hopeless romantic fairy-tale love story, that pleased the fans who believe in fairy-tale love stories and AdiJa's was an everyday life love story that pleased the fans who are more comfortable with the realistic love-stories. Only one type of love stories would have been boring. Then when AdiYa story started, their every opinion was opposite, be it about trusting ur partner or feeling betrayed, being strong by pulling a facade of not being ok or by accepting how devastated u r, destroying every memory of their partner or cherishing it, being righteous or practical, understanding the reasons of their partners' betrayal or blaming them alone for their mistakes, the way they moved on or giving their life a second chance...everything has been completely opposite...but the writers continued to strike a balance in their perspectives.
TRACKS
Since the first episode, we have seen this. Even though it was one intense sad story in the beginning, they never made it look very depressing. They gave us sarcastic Aditya Hooda who even in those intense situations gave us a good laugh n we kept wondering if we should laugh at what he says or we should feel for the guy n he thoroughly entertained us with his antics in those days. Then just when we were about to think that Adi was going to be another angry young man who would try to literally "own" Zoya n torture her at ZoSh, they gave us the Bella wedding track which brought some freshness to the show, though Adi tried to get her in trouble, he never turned into an insensitive jerk, he himself helped her to sort the problems too n they showed us his naram dil behind his sakht chehra. Then they gave us some light funny moments during Adi's bday preps before moving to another intense track. Then we got to see Adi Zoya's intense confrontation on his bday n Zoya's traumatized condition, courtesy divorce papers n suicide. Zoya turned into a stone who could have bored us, but they gave us Adi who gave up his angry demeanor n brought that comic element. Then in the Virani's track, they gave us some fun, some light arguments, some drama that kept us on the edge thinking whether AdiYa will get caught. Then they showed some typical trp drama in their wedding episodes. During the jungle track, though there was lot of stress, they showed us beautiful AdiYa moments, we could see their understanding growing, trust building, friendship budding. After having a week of such heart-warming scenes, we had heart wrenching scenes in the jail track. But even in those days, they gave us beautiful family moments where Adi n Zoya reunited with their fathers. We could see their families mingling. Then again they gave us trp special court room drama. There was no need of that grand Eid party from story's pov, but just to give us a respite from high octane drama, they gave us some festive episodes and showed us what AdiYa can do for their friendship. Then came another intense track, that of the diary where AdiYa were again at the loggerheads. N thereafter we r having these light hearted peaceful episodes. When this silent Adi could turn boring, they made Zoya chirpy to entertain us. To break the monotony, they gave us intense AdiYa fight n another rescue operation followed by cute AdiYa dosti moments. When Adi's majnu avtar could again turn monotonous, they gave us heartfelt track of Adi's realisation, then those extremely adorable romantic episodes of Zoya's drunken antics. N now again for some drama, they have brought a third angle. I know, we weren't really pleased by the way diary n Rajveer angle was handled and those AdMa scenes n a few other issues here n there. But tell me one thing, is it easy to keep such balance of happy n sad, light n intense, heartless n heartfelt, meaningful n dramatic tracks? But they have managed to do it to a great extent.
CHARACTERS
How beautifully they r using all their characters! Generally, in every other shows, there are 3 ways the leads and side characters are linked. First is, either the leads are always right n is always in the limelight and every other, elder or younger, character is just a furniture or is used to prove the leads right. Second category is, leads are dumb people who get easily influenced by the side characters n these other characters dominate their story. N the third case is the story doesn't focus on the leads, rather it get diverted to the side characters only n leads are sidelined. Does any of these happen in our show? No. AdiYa are always the centre of the story. AdiYa are neither always right nor always dumb. Sometimes they dominate other characters, sometimes other characters dominate them. How beautifully they have connected PooSh's and ArNoor's story with AdiYa's! It never looked like PooSh or ArNoor are only the catalysts or supporters for AdiYa's story, they had their own story which was in the connect with AdiYa story. How beautiful was Adi's speech for his parents! Had it been only a speech on his parents, it wouldn't have interested us much and if it had been completely an indirect at Zoya, it would have not looked apt for the anniversary party. But they managed to strike a balance those dialogues where a part of them was dedicated to his parents n the other part to Zoya. Adi didn't get completely distracted in the flow of his speech that generally happens in other shows. Isn't this work of writers really commendable?
Today I was really amazed by Adi's speech n I felt the writers really deserve big hands for striking this balance in any given situation and the story of the leads. Also, I wanna make a special mention to the way the event was conducted. They showed us everything in the event that they were planning for, the photos, garlands, shower of the flower petals, speech, everything. Generally in other shows, they just create random scenes during the preparations of any event to show the romance of the leads and in the actual event, nothing of that sort happens. I m more than impressed by the cvs that they cared to keep this continuity in the scenes. I loved the direction part, how Zoya was made to stand just behind Harsh n Anjana, so that Adi could address his speech to all three of them. Makers have done a really fantastic n very thoughtful job so far and let's take a moment to appreciate them!⭐️👏
