In the 1st episode, when their spouses had already passed away, a widower Aditya throws red sindoor on a widow Zoya. Her white dress which signified her colorless marriage with Yash was stained by her future relationship with Aditya.
Red symbolizes Love and Red also symbolizes the holy sacrament called Marriage. That's why in olden days, brides used to mostly wear red clothes on their marriages.
When Zoya reached the accident site with Aditya, she was no more Yash's widow. She was already Aditya's bride and even the heavy rain couldn't wipe out those red stains from her dress.
During Bela's mehendi ceremony, Zoya was forced to apply mehendi and then fate made Aditya enter the venue in the nick of time and made Zoya utter his name and then his name was written on her hand. Again the mehendi color turned out to be red as the sindoor. She was not ready to accept the fact that Aditya's name is written not just on her hand but also on her destiny so she had to hide her destiny with a bandage from everyone. When Aditya came to know his name was written on Zoya's hand, he too didn't accept his fate and forgot about it.
When Zoya's so called fake marriage with Aditya was happening, again Zoya was dressed in red. her half marriage with Aditya was already done.
Today, the remaining half marriage was fulfilled when Aditya unknowingly applies his blood on Zoya's forehead.
Destiny has made Zoya Aditya's wife completely even though both of them will take time to accept it.
No matter what name they give to their relationship, they are already bound by the sacred ties of marriage.
