"Zo, do you realise what you're saying?" Mahi looked at Zoya concerned.

"Mahi, you cannot speak to anyone about this.

"Zoya, this marriage isn't a game. You're going to be married to Aditya, you know your parents will frown upon even thinking of divorce later on Mahi voiced.

"I know, I know but what about Harsh uncle? Aditya was right in saying he's loved me just as equally as he'd loved Arjun and Aditya, and Aditya will never forgive me if something happens to him because of me Zoya responded shaking her head, she stopped and turned to face Mahi, "Promise me, promise me that you're not going to speak to anyone about what I've told you she urged.

Mahi contemplated for a while, she finally sighed nodding her head and said "I promise.

"Thanks she hugged Mahi and sighed heavily, she thought of the life that was ahead of her, she was soon going to be Aditya's wife. Aditya Hooda's wife, the thought of it send a shudder down her spine. All their life, he had incessantly teased her about her weight and her looks. There wasn't an off switch to his big gob, she wondered whether she'd be able to put up with his crap when she married him.

Both the families gathered together finalising a date for the wedding, Zoya had told them from the beginning she wasn't going to do a henna ceremony, this was all a lie and she wasn't going to have their parents spending money unnecessarily. The elders agreed and did it as she said, Zoya had instead spent the time on her bed with her arms out for her sister and best friend to decorate with their henna cones.

Whilst Mahi and Zoya knew what she was stepping into, Noor had no idea she instead yapped on about being excited for the wedding and becoming a saali.

Once they'd finished, Mahi wished her good night and left heading towards her house. She noticed her brother sat on their bench outside looking up at the sky blankly. She felt torn, she couldn't break her word to Zoya and she couldn't soothe her brother's pain.

"What are you thinking? she asked sitting besides him.

"What do you think? Yash smiled gently, "tomorrow the girl I've loved is marrying my best friend he murmured.

Mahi wrapped her arm around his and rested her head on his shoulder, she wanted to tell him that Zoya herself isn't happy. She didn't want this, this wasn't the life that Aditya or Zoya were wanting.

"Maybe there's someone else for you, bhai. There could be another woman who'd be able to love you freely and reciprocate your feelings she replied softly.

"I want Zoya to reciprocate my feelings, did you speak to her? he turned his head.

"I did, she... she paused for a brief second and answered "she crushed on you, that's true but she likes Aditya she lied. If she had ever told the truth to her brother, he'd try to do right by Zoya and Aditya rather than the elders of their family.

Given that, their religious beliefs was different they'd settled on a registration marriage with a small reception following it.

Aditya turned his head as Zoya was brought in by her sister and Mahi. She'd donned a gold lehenga with a red dupatta draped over her.

His eyes perused her silently and without anyone noticing, she'd offer a small smile to their family members and friends who were congratulating her.

"Aditya Anjana nudged him gently, he cleared his throat and looked confused. She pointedly gestured and he understood, he walked near the steps as Zoya neared and held out his hand.

"Is he going to let my hand go and make me fall? Zoya questioned Mahi softly so Noor couldn't hear.

"Not in front of everyone she answered, "take his hand before anyone becomes suspicious.

Zoya looked dubiously and took his hand, she climbed the few steps and joined his side. She was going to pull her hand away however Aditya held onto it.

She smiled shyly and inched closer, "Leave my hand now, or I'm going to make sure I shove it up your arse tonight she whispered.

"Tut tut, is this how you speak to your husband to be? he replied displaying his largest grin and waving with his other hand at his friends.

"Just you wait, Hooda Zoya warned.

"Back at you, wife to be Aditya cheekily smiled.

Apologies for the short update, I'd written this at 2am and stopped only after a short time of typing as I've got work tomorrow.

I shall return with another quick update this week sometime.
