AdiYa OS : Sukoon

Aditya hooda was standing on the stairs in the scorching heat. Rubbing the drops of sweat from his forehead he said to himself 'Ajeeb hain yaar biwi ki boyfriend ki biwi ki babysitting karni par rahi hain''. Just then he heard the azaan from the mosque on whose stair he was standing. Aditya and Zoya had come for a meeting nearby and Zoya had insisted on going to the mosque for her noon prayer before attending the meeting. Aditya agreed reluctantly and now he was getting more irritated.

Suddenly someone kept a hand on his shoulder, he turned around to discover an aged man wearing a thawb with a long white beard.
'Assalamualaikum'' said the man
'Namaste'' replied Aditya
'Ap yaha kyun khare ho beta? Andaar aa jao''
'Nahi I am okay''
'Bohut garmi hai yaha ap andaar ajao''
'Dekhiye thank you very much main yaha hi thik hoon...main baas kisi ka intezaar kar raha hoon woh andaar gayi hai namaz parne a jaaye tou chala jaunga''
The man smiled and said 'koi baat nahi baacha aap tou andar bhi intezaar kar sakte hain...aur waise bhi Allah ki darbar par akei koi banda agar chokhat se hi chala jai tou woh Allah ko pasand nahi hoga...aur kya pata andaar jake apki koi adhoori dua Allah qabool karle''
He looked at the scorching Sun and agreed to go inside with the man.
It was huge mosque all white and ceramic. Some people were praying some were just sitting. The ambience was very peaceful yet he was feeling restless.
'Yaha akei sabko sukoon milta hai beta shayad apko bhi mil jaye'' The man went somewhere and came back with a black thread.
'Yeh tabeez hai beta aap yeh uss deewar pe bandho ge tou apki har dua qabool ho jayegi''
Aditya took it and smirked seeing it, 'kahe ki dua...sab tou uske saath hi chali geyi''
The man looked at Aditya carefully and said 'Ghum sabke zindagi mein aati hai lekin uss ghum se ubhar kar hum mein humare sukoon ko dhond na chahiye..aap dekhna beta apko bhi apka sukoon milega''

The man left and Aditya went near the honeycomb wall where thousands of tabeez were already tied . He found a spot for his tabeez. Aditya closed his eyes and touched the wall with his head. A small drop of tear came out of his eye. He moved back his head and opened his eyes. And then he saw her

On the other side of the wall Zoya was praying. Her head was wrapped with her duppatta and she was doing her munajat. Her face was so calm and composed, it seemed like she had forgotten everything that happened in the last few weeks and her calmness gave him a different emotion
Aditya kept staring at her and absent mindedly he tied the tabeez on the wall. For a second he did not remove his eyes from her. What was it that she had that captivated him? He does not know how but her face was giving him the peace he was searching for all this days. Suddenly all the flashbacks were coming back to him...
how they both met
how one tragedy connected them
how again and again they bumped in to each other

Zoya opened her eyes and the first thing she saw was Aditya. Their eyes met and instantly Zoya felt as if a different emotion had touched her
kya ehsaas hai yeh? She thought

Aditya, after tying the tabeez he kept his hand on it and muttered 'meri dua yahi hain ki iski sari dua qabool ho jaye''.

The man came to Aditya and asked "Sukoon mila?''
Aditya looked at her and said 'pata nahi''.

Really??😕 but in my country women are allowed to go inside the mosque and they have a separate section for it. So from that perspective I wrote this.
