I know on the surface it may seem Zoya's character is really not relatable as I do not think there are very many people who have such an enclosed life.
From my observation, she is a simple person, not manipulative, does not have one mean bone in her body, believes that love is everything.
She did try to contact Yash's mom earlier (they mentioned that in yesterday's episode), but Yash's mom did not even want to speak to her. Maybe her mistake was she did not try harder to build that relationship though Yash's mom is equally responsible for making it harder. She did try though so we should acknowledge that!
It will be unfair to say that she did not act like she was in love. There are couples who live for 10-15 years and not know some personal likes/dislikes. It is possible she mentioned she wanted to live in the hills and Yash may not have told her to change her mind. Apparently, he treats her like a child and never asks her to do anything. After his death, she could have gone back to her parents but she still wants to be with his memories. That faithfulness does mean a lot to some people but to others its a little too late.
But of course, lack of communication in this manner and difference in personalities could have got Yash to stray. Ultimately, the story is about how there are mistakes from both ends and how she and Adi move on from their tragic pasts. But it will be illogical to say that she was a bad spouse.
But I do think Yash may have married her for her looks and childlike nature as he was dead set against letting her know about the real-world worries. Just like he does not have the brains to run business, seems like he did not think much before getting hitched either
EDIT - CVs may have set her up like that so that they can bring in the stark contrast later.
