Usman saheb's character is something new and different in telly world. I mean there are many serials in which father in law is positive and mother in law negative and normally its shown that man gets irritated with his wife's attitude as she is negative. But here usman is very different. No doubt he loves suraiyya so much. He always respects her and handles situation calmly. I have never seen that he is disgusted by suraiyya. Even if he doesnt like something, he shows that in a very respectable manner like yesterday when suraiyya was speaking against Aayat he said, "Hum isske baare mein baad mein baat karenge" He din't said, "how dare u spoke about my niece that way or why u are taunting my sister blah blah blah..."
He is so matured that even if he knows that suraiyya is wrong, he never insults or humiliates her nor he supports her. He has a different technique to handle situation in which he maintains his wife's respect and also his relatives respect. This is something i really like about his character sketch. He knows the position of every relation and he doesnt sacrifice one relation for other. He knows to balance that. Another example is that juice incident. It was clearly seen by everyone that suraiyya was insulting ghulam and shabana while drinks were been served. And well done to usman saheb, what a maturity to handle the situation. He dint got angry instead very nicely he explained about all drinks to shabana and ghulam. And then gave rose sharbat to suraiyya in a loving way. Lol indirectly it was like a taunt but usman made it in a loving way and also closed suraiyya's mouth. This is something to be actually learned by everyone. He has an awesome way to deal with problems.
