That's easy to say😆. And well...in some cases it IS true...like if Aliya & Zain had spent more time in Bhopal & just "fallen in love" in this same time span...it would have still made sense. But not when they were tied to an unwanted bitter relationship. Especially in case of ZAIN.
Because ALIYA was simply annoyed for the heck of it. Aliya was ready somewhere for this relationship because of her beliefs about the institution of marriage. She just refused to take Zain's words lying down, she never started anything to oppose this nikaahn ZAIN was not just annoyed. And that was revealed clearly in the Walimah by his own words. He had far more issues. His father choosing Aliya's secure future over his wishes. Ignoring him. Her going back on her word...being 'untrustworthy'. And everytime she tried to exercise her right as his wife...he would get more & more bitter at her unwanted interference. Whether it was touching his things or changing his room.
Yes...a lot of times some much needed light heartedness was infused in between Zain's want to throw Aliya out. For eg him doing childish things like putting up his ex GFs photos. But the bitterness & aversion to the nikaah very much existed. And that was what was so special about Zain. Outwardly the kiddish guy, but one with a fierce stubborness & intensity on the inside. And CVs were doing a good job of balancing both. That was what made his character a pleasure to be watched.
But right now...first discarding the calendar & the challenge & loosing his aversion to this nikaah is a character inconsistency. Is it because of the Fahad issue? Zain's problem was always that Aliya had besn forced into his life not that she was unfit for the family so that really isn't in keeping with the guy I saw in the Walimah. He is not the guy who would give up trying to oppose this marriage because of something as tame as the Fahad issue. So to me the scnes in Holi aren't really that much if a problem as much as their set up.
