Hands down Zain Abdullah for me! I like Aliya & Usman & Rizwan too...but Zain is undoubtedly my favourite! Finally I found a person who likes Zain's Character.
The first place where he wins is the way his characters has so many layers <3 In fact...he's the most multi dimensional character in BI. You can't figure him out, you can't predict his reactions...you never know what Zain will do. The way he gives me a new shade, a new hidden aspect of his character to analyse every other day is an absolute delight. Yeah, analysing his character is likea task each day. Everytime a new thing pops up. He has a mind of his own - listens to everything his mom says, goes to her, but in the end does what he wants.. He was rich, irresponsible, laid back, flirty...but he was neither egoistic, nor did he flaunt his wealth, or waste it (like the airport scene where he saves the money), & nor was he obnoxious to his elders...as are most of the typical spoilt raheezadas of tellyworld, instead he has been a loving son & bhateeja, & has made sure to keep his rivalry with Aliya to her & never extend it to her family. His respect for elders and especially for Chaand Jaan has always adored me. And his relation with his father is superb too. More like friend. That is why I never refer to Zain as 'a rich spoilt brat'. It dilutes the extremely well planned creativity & perfection with which his character has been etched. Because his behaviour & rudeness & reactions do not have that egoistic superiority...they are just normal reactions of a guy frustrated by a huge turn in his life. And yes...those aren't always right...but that's the point. We all mistakes. Zain is flawed, he makes mistakes too, but he doesn't run from them. Also...as I have mentioned earlier on too...his character has a lot of extremeties which are usually touched upon only on certain occasions & that aspect excites me to no end.
Then there's the fact that there's this...warmth in his character, the little things - like winning that jeep for his father in Bhopal, picking up laundry for his Pups, calling up Bhopal to enquire about things there in today's precap, which are woven ever so subtly & without being overdone, into the plot, & that makes ME all fuzzy & warm on the inside... <3That combined with an equally subtly wovwn strwngth in his character. When Zain speaks, like really SPEAKS...EVERYONE listens, whether it was Zeeshan's family when they caught ZaYa, or those aunties talking about Aliya. The way he stands against what's wrong is good.
When I saw him the first time, I enjoyed watching him a lot because he was the full on easy going, charmer kinds. Then I caught glimpses of his hidden maturity in between his reckless pranking in Bhopal. But it was the day ZaYa were caught hugging that I got the first good glimpse of the amount of shades Zain has inside him, & that was when I went from being a blushing fangirl to being completely in love with his character <3 (Not that I am no longer former. Harshad hasn't stopped being easy on the eyes after all☺️)
Thanks😳
