correct me if m wrong

No, dowry is haram in Islam. However, if the bride wants to take something with her than that is completely fine. Like I said in my post, giving a few gifts is fine, but making it a compulsory demand for marriage is wrong.

The word mehr is translated into dowry in English. Mehr is mentioned in the Quran-e-Pak. However, in in the Quran-e-pak, it is mentioned as the right of the woman from her husband, not the other way around. It is quite unfortunate that we have adopted the dowry system, because it comes from patriarchal norms not from Islam.

Its very gud you pointed it out.
I am not a muslim so cannot comment just wanted to say that in television we cannot show everything perfevtly.
So we should wait and see the makers will rectify it soon.

I think all of your points are truly valid. However, the dowry part and the lehenga was the worst thing that they could have done for their show. I thought they would atleast learn from mistakes of their competitors on QH, but it doesn't look like they have learned anything. After today, I will stop hoping that India will make a good quality, well researched and executed drama on Muslims. I am happy watching dramas from across the border even though I love India more.

and its exactly true that muslim men should not wear gold.its the rule of islam.islam haa made rules for the benefit of us in this life and hereafter😊alhamdullilah we should learn it and obey t.time may change but our iman and religion would not never change😊

and yes dowry is haram in islam and i must say that i think that they should not show muslim people asking dowry must be stoppped.its haram in islam but why do people repeat the same mistake😔

The bone of contention regarding wearing hijab has been of rage across the entire world. Some say it is not compulsory, while scholars have argued it is mandated. However, sometimes it can depend on how you perceive the interpretation. Regardless, I think wearing the hijab and covering your head is a good thing. You are right, women do benefit from following these teachings as it protects them vile gazes. If we follow these teachings it is only for our betterment and will help us in the hereafter.

'' Time may change but our iman and religion would not never change.'' Beautifully put.

You are right, dowry is haram and yet people still continue to ask for it. The thing is we humans are ignorant and we don't think about the consequences. I guess that is what makes us humans also. May,
Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala forgive us and keep from leading astray. Ameen.

If I have said anything wrong, I do apologize.

The objection I have with most of the Indian dramas that they show lot of dargah visits. Visiting Dargah is definitely not part of religion. Infact it is strictly forbidden to visit dargahs.

Well then in Islam girls are suppose to cover their hair and wear hijab. But obviously Aliya is not wearing hijab. It's just a tv show don't take everything to seriously. Also we have seen Aliya and zain dance with each other and again they will be dancing with each other in sangeeth episode and in Islam Mixed dance is harm unless you are married to that person. And zain and Aliya are not married. But still us Muslims we do mixed dance. No one is perfect! And this is just a show. So why are you not saying anything about the dance then!?

I have already taken out my aggression on those scenes and a lot more on FB, so in this post I just focused on today's episode. But, yes you are right, that was wrong also. Zain and Aaliya dancing together was not right. I have no objection in saying that. If I had time, I would list all of the flaws I found, unfortunately I don't.

& Like I said in the previous reply to someone, wearing hijab is not mandatory but covering your head is. It is one's personal choice if they want to wear a hijab or not
, by forcing one to wear it you ruin the whole meaning behind it.

You are right no one is perfect, I am not saying anyone is. I certainly am not. I am not even judging anyone because I have no right to, but I do have a right to speak out against something if I feel it is wrong. Where the makers could have done some proper research and showed something brilliant they chose the same slap-stick romance just now it is being promoted under being a muslim social instead of a Indian drama.

I m not a muslim, but i understand that dowry is haram in muslim, but then zeeshan s family is harami in show, they are shown as evil people and greedy people can be part of any religion

coming to ring and lehenga ,i think cvs should have done such reasearcj

For lehenga i feel may be times have changed

regarding the ring if its a strict rule then cvs should have researched

nways as viewer i was more focused on aliya not eating that mittai and how does zen get through this sitiation

but i also understand being muslim people do observe it carefully

becoz its their culture and cvs shouldnt hurt their sentiments

Her point is that if the character of Aliya claims to be Allah (swt) ' s laadli and says that her deen and taaleem is very good, then she should know better to cover her head for the engagement when her mother and her saas covered her head, and if her parents have taught her so much about deen, they should also reject a rishta that asks for dowry.

My cousin's parents recently broke off her engagement because the guys parents were too greedy.

No offense to anyone or any religion 😊

Also agreed with the person above. This is one of the only shows that is based on Islam in India. I'm trying to look at it as a Pakistani show because that's is what a lot of Paki shows are about. Two cousins fall in love with each other.
We want to be able to relate to this show.
