But the way aalya's family is shown i just think the girls in that family would not be wearing such revealing clothes. but cant say. ...still.

re going to dargah i never heard it is prohibited. everyone visits ajmer dargah here in india. and dowry yes it is still taken in some places & asked also. so i guess they are showing what is already there

Visiting dargah is prohibited in islam, I am a muslim and visiting dargah is called "shirk". Hamein sirf Allah par yaqeen rakhna chahiye aur us he se mangna chahiye na k kise dead admi ke qabar pr ja kr us se mangna chahiye.

Look everyone has different conceptions about Islam..
& we can argue all day on whose right or wrong!
We will never get to the bottom of it
As people mix their cultures into religion..
Depending on where we are from the world ..

I find women that wear a hijab with full on makeup and wearing skin tight clothes
With cleavage showing wrong.. Compared to a woman who
Doesn't wear a hijab but has loose clothing and no make up!
But in the end who are we to judge people.. ?

Lool gone off topic/ non sense!

I agree they showed aliya as a religious girl so thats probably why people are more annoyed whereas zoya was shown as modern girl.

I am a muslim grl. And i really think dt dese shows r insulting islamic teachings.
When they can show hindu grls wearing revealing dresses r nt likd by good cultured families then how can they show muslim girl of a culturd family herself wearing such dresses...

And the ring and dowary are totally haraam in islam.

When in hindu shows dey often display family praying to god then y in islamic shws they show the family members worshipng mazaars and nt ALLAH. It is the fact that if a muslim bows b4 any1 except Allah he/she are out of islam. They no longer can b cald muslims.

Sm1 in abv posts said tht these r old ruls and shd nt b follwd.
Let me clear.
If evry old thng needs to b left out.
Then the EARTH we r leaving is also old then why nt we leave it and find smthng new to live on and our respiratory system, digestive systems r also too old y dnt we hv sm new system in our bodies.

If we cnt replace dem den y to replace d ruls of islam tht r nt even wrng...

I thank to d one who postd it.

A lot of shows on Indian television are Hindu and they do not show the cultures/rituals correctly as well. But to me, I always feel like how one person follows his/her religion or cultural values are so personal and it should not be rigid.

If my religion tells me to do something that I don't agree with, then I will no strongly adhere to that. If a girl really wants to wear a sari for example at her wedding, that should be her choice. I don't live in India so maybe that's why my opinions are different but I have a lot of Muslim friends that have worn saris or lengha's that aren't entirely covered up for weddings/engagements and formals. I think it's really up to a girl and her own comfort level with her body and people around her.

Out of curiosity, why aren't Muslim men allowed to wear gold?

SHIZ. 😳 Oh, long time. I missed you so much (sorry for going off-topic)
heey, I second that. They need to do some research before showing that, today they ignored this fact, tomorrow they will overlook another one and so on.

the type of clothing that you wear shouldn't really matter as long as you believe in Allah and pray to him it's all good. And Aliya believes in Allah and prays to him so I dont think the type of cloths that she wears should matter at all.

If you love Allah then you love what He loves and hate what He hates.

If you love Allah then you OBEY Him. & Allah tells the believing men and women to dress decently & hide their adornments.

Oh & it also tells us to lower our gaze. How many men lowered their gaze at the engagement ?

Times have changed ?! Right. 😆 😆

As a Muslim, you should at least say what's right & not what's wrong. You are misguiding people. It is a sin when you allow something when Allah & his Prophet clearly forbid us to do. & you know exactly why Allah tells Muslims to lower their gaze & to dress decently.

Showing a little bit of your stomach at the engagement where there are men is not decency.

The objection I have with most of the Indian dramas that they show lot of dargah visits. Visiting Dargah is definitely not part of religion. Infact it is strictly forbidden to visit dargahs.

Visiting a dargah is not haram. To visit a dargah to remember someone and what they stood for is not wrong.

What is haraam and often evolves from visiting dargah's is when you pray to the person interred to grant your prayers and wishes. That is a prerogative reserved only for Allah SWT. To ask for anyone except Allah to grant your prayers is a serious wrong.

I'm so glad you pointed this out...it was bothering me too when I saw the episode and found Aliyah's midriff bare and using a gold ring for the guy in the engagement...

Below is an example from Quran and Hadith about clothing and gold as such...

Quran (33:59) - "Tell thy wives and thy daughters and the women of the believers to draw their cloaks close round them..."

Abu Dawud (32:4092) - The Apostle of Allah... said: "O Asma', when a woman reaches the age of menstruation, it does not suit her that she displays her parts of body except this and this, and he pointed to her face and hands"

Al-Tirmidhi Hadith 808 Narrated by Abu Musa Ash'ari

The Prophet (saws) said: Wearing silk and gold has been made unlawful for the males of my Ummah and lawful for their females.

Thank you for listing out the hadiths. They are very helpful.
