I agree with your post to a great a extent ... i read other comments and i do agree with the points supporting Lakhan as well, still they do not justify his actions.

I was a LaakhAm lover but now i dont want them this marriage to happen now.

I know that the way Laakhan has lived till now and the way people have treated him has made him what he is now... and he is a bail buddhi, doesn't think before taking and action ... but whatever he did to Poonam (in the dress shop and then making her stand under the water) was a well thought action and he was not crying for Poonam in that scene, He was crying for himself that he got slapped by Mithilesh, people will gossip about him, people will mock him. He had no love, no sympathy for Poonam.

Mithilesh slaps him and since he cannot retort against him, he thinks of planning the revenge from Poonam because she is the only one who is weaker than him and would never protest against him because of her position in the family.

Laakhan as a character is a very weak entity. He is nothing without "Thakur" tag. He simply vents out his anger and frustration on people who are weaker than him. The work that he gets is because of Mithilesh. By just having a dream of being King of Begusarai doesnt give him any substance.

Poonam's father too is a chauvinist and even if he is sympathetic towards Poonam, he would never raise his voice against Laakhan because of his loyalty towards Thakur family.

Poonam's mother's regressive thoughts have come out to be true. She told Poonam to be silent to ensure a "Happy Married Life". She will now site this incident as an example to repeat her "Gyaan" to Poonam that she was the ultimate sufferer when she told Laakhan truth.

Its high time Phoolan Thakur and Bhushan Thakur get to know the truth and they call off the marriage.

But then the only option would be of getting Poonam married to Priyom 😳. That would be another injustice to her. Spending life with a guy who has been sleeping with so many girls in the past 🤢

She deserves someone better. But That seems impossible.

This is just another regressive show where women are suppressed, told to sacrifice and suffer in silence🤢

Ek hi baat bolungi -Bhagwan aisa baap kisi ko na de😆

I completey agree with you. I dislike Lakhan. He is a monster. All he does is abuse those weaker than him.
If there is one thing I can't stand, it's abusive men. HATE THEM.😡 Poonam is an object to Lakhan that he owns. He has no affection for her and doesn't even see her as human.

LakhAm is an absolute no-no for me. I think it would be an insult to humanity if Poonam fell for such a guy. No girl can love someone who abuses her. Her reaction after Phoolan's announcement is one of relief, for obvious reasons. I'm happy Poonam is free of Lakhan and can now envision a life for herself.

Since it's their story, the creatives are free to pair any random "X" up with any random "Y"; but personally I would consider it as an extreme degradation and humiliation of a girl's self-respect, in case they portray Poonam somehow ending up with Lakhan willingly; instead of being portrayed as being pushed to the wall to agree to do the same owning to some "logical" reason(s) !! After portraying Lakhan as considering that he owns Poonam as his private property, nope slave, by the virtue of a couple words from his uncle's mouth, which gives him the absolute right to do any damned thing with her, subsequently executing sadistic tortures (both mentally and physically) on her for years and humiliating her parents to no end; it would be an absolute disgrace. It would be acceptable if the creatives portray Poonam ultimately forgiving Lakhan, may be, in distant future; but forgetting those extreme abuses, falling in love and leading a normal life with him willingly is simply impossible and unthinkable. There is simply no love or passion or romanticism involved in such humiliating somersault of self-respect !! Going by whatever has been portrayed so far, there can only be a forced relationship in between these two characters with absolutely no love involved.

Regarding Lakhan, people behave such sadistically in case either they have been through a traumatic experience in the past (mainly in their childhood) or it's their nature. Going by the story and the characterizations so far, the former option seems not very viable; so it might be that the creatives want to portray this as his nature where he gets sadistic pleasures by torturing persons weaker than him, whenever he is being insulted by people stronger than him or for no reason at all !! This is almost identical to psychotic behavior !!!

Nothing against the actor playing Lakhan's character. He is doing a great job by portraying Lakhan so flawlessly 👏.

Tina, you have literally cracked me up with "ponnu raani ka sanki aashiq" ,,, 🤣 🤣 🤣

As far as I am concerned, it's simply abominable !!! I really can't stand any abusive person. Why girls must always be portrayed as sarvam-saha Seeta, who endures, swallows and digests every injustice and humiliation by ultimately forgetting and forgiving; instead of being portrayed as Durga, who mercilessly destroys the evil itself without giving any second thought 😕 😔 😒 !!!!

Because that is what abusive husbands/ boyfriends do... They will love, cherish and protect till the girl does some supposed wrong. They they forget to treat her like a human.

And what justification are people giving for it? A greedy mother? what about a stable father, a loving family, a best friend, all the money in the world... He has had a very good life. I don't see any tortured past to sympathise with him.

btw, I did not see any pain on his face when he was punishing poonam. He was just venting out his anger and frustration on a person who is not in a position to oppose him

P.S: I like the actor playing Lakhan though. He does not go over the top and has a lot of screen presence

@Bold- I seriously don't know how i missed to reason this comment but.. Lol
i dnt need to say anything. You said it all...🤣😆
